We visit Bybee Farms every year and always try to make it for opening weekend. They opened on July 18 this year, and we were so happy with how ripe and abundant the blueberries were. The bushes were absolutely loaded. You could easily grab handfuls of perfectly ripe berries. It was such a fun experience! Even though it was busy and we had to park in the overflow lot, it was still easy to find our own quiet spot to pick. When you arrive, just grab a bucket and start picking. We definitely recommend checking the map by the cashier. It shows where each of the six blueberry varieties are planted. They accept both cash and credit cards. We ended up picking around six pounds and spent just under $20. read more

We packed up the car with the family and headed to Bybee in hopes of picking many pounds of berries. Since they opened mid July we figured there would be plenty of ripe blueberries. There wasn't anything posted on social media or their website stating that there were tons of unripe berries and to hold off a little bit... all we saw was row after row of red unopened berries. We walked all over to each of the different berries. It was disappointing to hear out there believing there's gonna be an entire field of ripe berries when there really weren't many at all...so we searched for another blueberry U Pick farm and headed there to buy almost 10 pounds of berries. We will be back to Bybee it was just a bummer not getting any kind of real time update anywhere and to make a trip. read more

Second time at a blueberry farm ever (first time at an organic one) and it sure did impress! We went around 9am on a Friday so the parking lot was pretty full but not packed. They have an additional lot and a couple areas to pick berries. On this particular day, we were told that that one field had smaller tart berries and the others were larger and sweeter (that being a subjective term). I forget what kind the gal mentioned but I think there were a few varieties overall. She said they were labeled but we didn't notice any obvious signage. Wore TOMs and light weight clothes as it was a warm day. When you walk to the stand, they have two sizes of buckets already cleaned and liners available. My family chose to pick the larger, juicer berries as we eat them fresh or use them in smoothies. We walked into the field and then all of the way towards the back bushes. They are pretty tall so if you are bringing kiddos along, you'll want them to wear something they can easily be seen in or keep a close eye as it's easy to loose sight or walk between the rows. My parents felt the bushes were well maintained compared to other farms they have been to. They were plenty of berries on the bushes for the farm being open every day, but we felt like it might be better to visit again in about a week. A lot of the berries looked almost ripe - but not quite there so we did end up with many tart ones. Not too buggy but we had doused ourselves in bug spray prior. Price was reasonable overall and we had a good experience. Would go again! read more

We spent a gorgeous afternoon blueberry picking at this farm! The views are spectacular. The berries are far better than what you can get at the store. Our toddler and preschooler had a blast, and we melted being a part of it -- playing hide-and-seek, chasing each other, having a competition who will pick up the most fruit, learning about how plants grow, when they ripen, just admiring the beauty around us... Money cannot buy that kind of experience, plus we actually got more, and better, fruit than what you can get at the store for the price we paid. Strongly recommend! read more

COVID era review. This was a really wonderful place to pick blueberries! Huge farm/orchard, lots of parking, BEAUTIFUL scenery and the fruit was amazing. My only concern was the position of the kiosk for payment. It was very close to the 'road' to overflow parking.... It was extra crowded on opening day, but the place has the operation down pretty smooth, although a flood of people that arrived just after opening all wanted to pay at the same time too which made for some long lines in the mid-day sun. Came here around 3 p.m. after hiking near Snow Lake. It was definitely a worthwhile stop. Initially the farm was kind of hard to find because the gps could not locate the address. A sign had appeared but then it disappeared. You just have to continue following down the road until you see the second sign. There was plenty of parking. Blueberries about $2.10 per pound (as I recall). You grab the buckets from the counter up front and just walk right into the farm. It is suppose to be the height of blueberry season but a lot of the blueberries were dinky and kind of sour. Perhaps most of the good blueberries had already been picked earlier. You have to really look on top of the taller bushes to find the big juicy sweet blueberries. The scenery is rather beautiful because the farm faces the mountains. Great landscape to look at while picking some fresh blueberries. The one down side is that the farm is really exposed to the sun. It is probably really good for the berries but not good for the pickers. It gets super hot. When we went, it was about 90+ degrees and our faces were covered with sweat. We could only stay for about 20 minutes because it got so uncomfortable. I suggest either going in the morning or later afternoon. read more

I love Bybee Farms. I've been coming here to pick blueberries for three years now-- I think it's the best place to do pick-your-own blueberries in the greater Seattle area. The setting is pretty idyllic-- Imagine rows upon rows of blueberries, spread out over several acres. When I go, I love to find a quiet section of the field in which to pick berries, breathe in the clean air, watch as the insects and birds fly by, and take in the beauty of Mt. Si (which is really close by and provides such a dramatic backdrop!) When you get there, park in the lot, walk to the stand, pick up a bucket, and head out to the fields. Believe it or not, they have six different kinds of blueberries! I've tried a few, and have found the "Blue Crop" berries to be the largest and sweetest of the lot. The taste is 10x better than any blueberry you'll ever buy in a store! The price? Only $1.95/lb (as of the date of this review). The folks who man the stand are super friendly, too. What a great place for blueberry picking! The view of Mount Si is absolutely gorgeous. Call their number before you head out for the day to check if the picking conditions are A-ok. There is free parking and they provide buckets for you to use. Big ones and small ones! Pick at your own pace from the many many rows available. My suggestion is to walk to the other end and start from there! Or, walk through the rows from the main path toward the middle/end so you get bigger, fatter berries! Once you've had your berry fill head back to the parking lot to pay (cash or check only!). The price per pound is listed on their website and on their phone recording. They have tip jars for "snacking" and good service. Usually the stand is run by the teenagers/kids of the family, I believe. I always have a great time here. After having a disappointing blueberry picking experience at another farm, I did a lot of research and came across Bybee Farm. I can honestly say that I picked the right place! It is located in North Bend off I-90. I live in North Seattle and it took just under 1hr drive to get there. The view there is so beautiful! They have 2 large parking lots which is very convenient. You grab a bucket (they have small ones for children) and you are set to go. They have rows and rows of blueberry bushes and plenty of ripe blueberries for everyone to pick. I stayed there for 3hrs and didn't even get around to pick different kinds of blueberries. They charge $2 per pound which is very reasonable, especially considering they are organic. They will give you a cardboard flat for paid blueberries. They also have areas where you can have a picnic. I am definitely going back there next year! read more

A fantastic u-pick blueberry farm. Located at the foot of Mount Si, the view can't be beat - when you glance up from your berry basket, the mountain towers majestically above. That alone is worth the drive. But it's not about the view, it's about the berries, right? Walk a little down each row - about halfway down - and suddenly, the branches are drooping to the ground under the weight of big, ripe berries. It won't take long for you to fill your basket. This place is so fun! We came here to go Blueberry picking for a couple hours and it was a good experience. It's sort of off the beaten path and takes a while to get to from Seattle but it's worth it. The scenery with Mt Sì right next to the blueberry trees is so pretty. The farm has two different sections to pick blueberries at. We did both and while I enjoyed the area closer to the mountain, they both were great. They have a lot of varieties of blueberries and even some blackberries as well. When you arrive there's a small lot to park in and you walk to the tent to get the bucket you will want to use for picking. I believe it was $1.99 a pound. It definitely wasn't anymore than $2. I seriously thought I was going to pick two pounds of berries but after about an hour I barely had many picked. It takes a while to pick them and you're bucket seems to look like it has a lot more berries than actually is probably in there. My friend and I both had enough berries for ourselves that would last a couple days and both of our berries combined together only costed $2.25!!! What a deal! I do know that this would have been way more in the store for what we got. The farm is close to downtown so you can even grab some food and drinks after picking. read more

$2.10 a pound when we went. They are sweet bug get the dark purple ones in the back of each aisle. The low hanging fruit so to speak will be small red berries which won't be as sweet. Bring SPF otherwise you might ripen. Bought a whole bunch of berries and it ended up being just $0.50. Really cool activity to get berries but go on a cooler day when you won't be in scorching hot sun. read more

Short version of a long review: Beautiful venue, semi-helpful/responsive staff, ask if they have an operating permit for the season before you sign a contract. I will first say that Bybee Farms is a beautiful venue. It has a stunning view of Mt Si and is likely one of the most unique and breathtaking backdrops you can find for your wedding. The photos speak for themselves! We got married in 2014. It was only Bybee's second or third year of operation as a wedding venue, and it showed. We didn't know at the time we signed the contract and sent in our deposit that Bybee hadn't yet obtained their operating licenses for the year. When we toured the space, we were told there would be a second tent set up next to the permanent tent for more seating. However, their tent configuration didn't pass fire inspection, so instead of the tent layout that we thought we were agreeing to, we ended up with two tents 20 feet apart--it was an incredibly weird and awkward table arrangement to have a quarter of our guests separated from the main tent. A month before the wedding, the venue informed us that the county had imposed a number of restrictions on them before granting them the license, including no PA systems and acoustic music only (unplugged, because again, no PA systems). That would have been good to know before committing to the venue... To be fair, at the time the venue deposited our money, they didn't know about the restrictions either. But that's the danger of renting out a space without a real, live operating permit in hand. Kelli and her team worked with us to get around the restrictions so we could have music and a PA system, which we appreciated--she could have said "sorry, those are the rules," knowing that it would be too late for us to book another venue, but they worked with us on solutions and tried to mitigate the issues to the best of their abilities. Also, be aware that they will try to sell you every service they can. Chair set up? $150. Garbage removal? $150. With Bybee, you are definitely paying for the view. We toured several other spots that offered more amenities (like running water!) for less $$, but ultimately we went with Bybee because they had the date we wanted and a pretty view. read more

I love fruit!! I love picking fruit too! This place has delicious blueberries and the blueberries are HUGE!! Yeah there are some mice and spiders but I just don't look down for too long. I haven't come across any but I've been told by my friends who go blueberry picking a lot that there are mice. I came here a few weeks ago and I saw some wasps and didn't think much of them but when I went to reach for some blueberries, I saw a wasps nest!!! It scared the crap out of me!! I ran away from there and started to pick somewhere else. There are plenty of blueberries and the place is pretty big! You get a nice view of Mt Si too! The prices are way better than the grocery stores and the blueberries taste 10 times better. Definitely recommend coming here to pick some blueberries! read more
