Everyone was so rude from start to finish. It was extremely hard to get in touch with the new patient coordinator to get an appointment. Met with dr Huang who, on our first meeting stated "you should consider egg donation as having a child may not be in the works for you"- (I'm 33, healthy, unknown cause infertility) given the time sensitive process of IVF, we proceeded w this clinic. Shannon the nurse sent incorrect preauth form to insurance, pharmacy had a hard time getting in contact with the nursing team which caused almost a 2 wks delay to obtain meds. We were not able to speak with dr Huang the entire journey, nurses were rude and also hard to get a hold of. When I came in for my saline sonogram, dr Huang was the performing provider and was so cold, she didn't say a word to me tho we only had our appointment a couple weeks prior. At the end of our journey, results were not what we had hoped for and at my follow up appointment, dr. Huang proceeded to speak about another patient, why she was upset with her care and projected her situation onto me and continued to recommend egg donation. She also suggested I go to other clinics such as Brigham and can bring back their recommendations to her and we can proceed with their plans which really took me by surprise given her years of experience. At the very end when I requested my medical records, it took OVER a month to get a copy of my records from Alicia who had such a nasty attitude and kept saying her workload was too big which is a crazy excuse. It took my husband to get involved for her to actually remain my medical records. Swapped over to another clinic and now having the opposite experience.

All doctors in this office were professional, kind, and made it very clear what was happening and what your next steps are. They were easy to contact with any follow up questions or concerns, and they listen. You will wait at every appointment far past your appointment time and that is just how it is for any fertility office, they are squeezing in ppl who need to be seen asap and yes you will wait but they will squeeze you in when you need it to. Fertility monitoring and treatment has a lot of sudden appointments and remember you're waiting because someone needed help asap and you will get the same treatment when you need it. And the real reason for my 5/5 is my beautiful baby girl!!! 2 medicated timed intercourse cycles and then 1 iui later and add some months and I have a daughter and it was all worth it!!!! That is the only reason I am okay with giving 1 star instead of 0. But the financial team and medical records team have disappointed me at every single step. My second cycle was almost canceled because the financial team never received my pre-determination letter from my insurance. However, I knew this was a problem from my first cycle and had sent it to them over the portal two weeks prior. They just completely ignored my message showing them the letter. I had to ask the nursing team to contact the financial team to financially approve me 3 days before I was due to start my medications. The claims after egg retrievals have also been a huge issue. My insurance requested medical records for the claim from my egg retrieval in October of last year. But to this day (6 months later), BostonIVF has not sent the records. I have received countless letters and reminders from insurance about this, and I have messaged/called BostonIVF multiple times in the past 6 months about this. I was promised multiple times over the portal that this has been taken care of, but that is a lie. It's been 6 months and my insurance still does not have the medical records they need to review the claim. I am scared of ending up with $25-30k in medical bills because BostonIVF is not properly doing their job. Additionally, when I looked to switch providers because of this, the medical records team did not reply to a single email asking for confirmation that the request had been received. Once 30 days had passed, I asked for a timeline on when the records would be released (this is required according to HIPPA). I heard nothing for a little over 60 days total - it is also required according to HIPPA that medical records be released in 60 days. I finally threatened to report them to the health department for being in violation of HIPPA before they gave me my records. IVF is enough of an emotional toll. Dealing with insurance is enough of an emotional toll. But an unresponsive, rude, unhelpful financial team and medical records team who regularly fail to do their job is completely unacceptable. I understand if there are a few mistakes or one or two missed messages, we are only human. But in every single step with them, there has been a mistake, delay, or lack of communication. I absolutely do not recommend BostonIVF in Providence.

That promise was broken. From the beginning, it was clear that my concerns were only taken seriously when voiced by my husband. As the patient, I was routinely dismissed or talked over, while my husband was treated as the authority--even when repeating what I had just said. It was humiliating and invalidating. Things came to a head when a nurse repeatedly called me by the wrong name. I corrected her multiple times, and when I finally showed understandable frustration, I was treated as the problem. No apology, just defensiveness. Then, during a follow-up, Dr. Nesbit herself referred to me using that same wrong name. That moment broke whatever trust I had left. The doctor I had chosen for her empathy didn't even know who I was. I also brought up documented efforts I had made--messages and attempts to clarify care that were ignored across multiple departments. Dr. Nesbit seemed surprised, despite this being a repeated issue. My efforts to be proactive were simply brushed aside by staff, with zero accountability. This entire experience made me feel invisible, silenced, and deeply disrespected. For a place that claims to support women through one of the most vulnerable times in their lives, the disconnect between that promise and my reality was staggering. If you want to be truly seen, heard, and cared for as a patient, I would strongly urge you to look elsewhere

She then went into how they didn't have the equipment in the office to do my procedure. She made it sound like I would have to wait who knows how long. When asked about alternatives then she says, "Well you can do it in the main hospital but that is just a pain to book". I have called about my procedure and was told yes someone will get back to you with a date, 2 months later still waiting. I just don't feel that there is a sense of urgency or that I matter. I am currently looking for another facility and hopefully will have my dream of becoming a mom soon

I have been contemplating finding a new OBGYN practice since my traumatic birth experience but since the practitioner who was at fault left the practice, I held off. I guess it was not just that practitioner that was the problem. Both the MA/nurse and doctor I saw today were unprofessional and unhelpful with terrible bedside manner. The MA/nurse for some reason thought I was there for a birth control consult; when I said uh no I'm here for a fertility consult she LAUGHED and said "oh I guess the opposite then haha". NOT funny AT ALL to a woman who recently had a miscarriage and is dealing with secondary infertility issues. The Dr refused to order bloodwork or give me a referral and I had to basically beg for an ultrasound. I hate this place. As soon as I can find another practice I will NEVER step foot in here again.

I drive over an hour each way to see her and it's been so worth it. I originally went to see Marisa for extreme anxiety and ongoing sleep issues, after trying what felt like every modality out there: somatic exercises, journaling, therapy, BIT, meditation, breath-work...you name it. While many of those helped in their own ways, nothing truly moved the needle for me the way hypnoacupuncture with Marisa has. From my very first session, there was an obvious shift. Even the people around me noticed. After that first session, the tension in my shoulders decreased, and the only way I can describe it is that everything (physically & mentally) felt like it had been taken down a notch.
