David arrived on short notice to redo a terrible tv mounting job that a different company did the day before on my 77" LG OLED. I needed someone to mount a new 77" LG G5 OLED and connect it to my new Sonos Arc Ultra surround audio system. This was an expensive home theater and I didn't want to have to add another $1000 mounting the tv and hiding the cables if I could avoid it. I called David AV Installations to describe the job. I was not only impressed with how much cheaper the quote was than others offered, but I described that I wasn't sure where the studs were or if I needed a recessed media box. He said they could bring a low profile mount and recessed media box just in case we need them. We ended up needing the tv mount and David was also able to provide three 4k HDMI's that were much better than the cables I would've ordered. David was meticulous with measurements and more than gracious to position the tv just how we wanted it. He is also an electrician which helped in rerouting the power to a recessed plug behind the tv. The mounted tv not only looks amazing but the sound and picture are likely much better because of the little details. The job was less than $500 total including the tv mount and hdmi's he provided. I would highly recommend supporting a small business like David's over some of the other tv mounting businesses that will likely cost much more for the same high end installation.

I don't review often, but I wanted to take a moment to acknowledge how amazing David is. David's communication was excellent and he was able to work around my tricky schedule. The person he brought with him to help was efficient and kind. David unmounted one TV and reinstalled it in a different room. He also mounted our new 83 inch LG OLED. One important detail -- I had thought a TV mount came with our new TV, however, it did not. David patiently waited at our house while I ran to Best Buy to purchase the correct mount. He is also quite handy - in the meantime he set up our new air hockey table that we had purchased from Costco. We look forward to bringing David back to our house the next time we need. Amazing work ethic!! I called David for a tricky smart door lock install. He couldn't get the lock to mount properly due to some issue with the door itself. Well long story short, he spent 2hours of his time and didn't charge me a dime because he estimated he couldn't complete the job properly. Even though it wasn't his fault. Well. I reached out to David AV Installations after searching for the highest-rated TV mounting companies in West Hollywood. From the very beginning, my representative Stephen was responsive, detailed, and enthusiastic about helping. I was nervous about the feasibility for installing my 65" on the wall over my fireplace, but Stephen reviewed photos I sent of my living room and was confident they could do the job. He gave me an estimate and scheduled me for as soon as my TV mount was delivered! On the day of install, David and Javier came to my home and did a FABULOUS job. They were respectful of my home by laying down protective floor cloth, and were kind and funny. They found the studs right away and installed my new Mantel Mount which lets me pull the TV down to a better eye level when watching. David and Javier did such a great job mounting my TV, it looks great - they hid the wires in the wall and made sure the TV was exactly as I wanted it, and perfectly level. I'm so happy with this company. David spent hours setting up electrical for mounting our tv above our fireplace and hiding the cables behind the wall. It was very complicated but he was able to feed the electricity from outside using a laser level and minimal drilling. He saved us from having to cut and repair too much drywall. I've used other tv mounters before and they never manage to do that. You always end up with a messy situation. He's a precise professional electrician and I highly recommend him. read more

Ubiquiti had a solid reputation for quality and reliability, so I went about finding someone who handled their products. Yelp was a great resource and I narrowed down my choices to LA Wifi Guys, as their information gave me the most confidence. Made an appointment and David came out. Really liked his approach. Honest and transparent and not hustling me for upsells. He described my options clearly and it was easy to decide what I wanted. Not cheap, but very fair considering the higher quality solution and more experienced installation. It actually cost notably less than my original set up, which was done 6 years ago and had less features and most of all turned out crappy. David gave me an estimate for parts delivery, which turned out to be exact, and we made the install appointment for the day after. He came in and was very polite, careful and steadfast. He also was great at explaining how to operate my new system. But most of all, weeks after the install, I am sooo happy with it! It Still didnt add up to me ... Anyways he opened the key, replaced the battery and charged me $40 for his time and gas to come out to me. I thought that was CRAZY since the key was malfunctioning due to his own fault and he just replaced the battery?!!? I just paid him and then went on my way. At that moment, i knew that he lost my business moving forward. 3 weeks later my remote stops working AGAIN! I go to another locksmith and they opened up my key, showed me my remote and said that when mr. jin opened the key remote. He broke a small piece, the small piece missing promotes the battery to drain fast and/or is not allowing the battery to power the remote. They replaced the battery for me in the meantime and then recommended i get a whole new remote if the problem continues . TLDR: So I PAID THIS MAN OVER $250 FOR A BRAND NEW KEY THAT LASTED ME TWO WEEKS. HE DID NOT EVEN TAKE THE TIME TO INVESTIGATE WHY AND OVERCHARGED ME FOR A HALF-ASS JOB. On the day of the appointment, the technician, Paul, was gracious, kind, and actually arrived before I did. He even told me to take my time getting there. Had David come after using him before to mount TV, to install an outdoor WiFi 7 access point with a hardwired ethernet run from my router to a mounting location on the exterior of the house, including PoE injector, surge protector, weatherproof cable entry, and a proper ground line to my house electrical service ground rod. David actually understood what I was trying to do. I came in with a specific setup (TP-Link EAP772-Outdoor, 2.5G PoE+, surge protection, AFC-enabled 6 GHz) and he didn't try to talk me into anything different or upsell me. He asked the right questions about the cable run, the wall material, where the AP needed to face for coverage, and walked through the install plan before quoting. The workmanship is exactly what you'd hope for. Clean cable runs, properly secured with outdoor-rated staples, sealed wall penetration with weatherproof grommet, and the grounding was done by code -- single-point ground to the existing electrode, no separate rod, no splices in the ground wire. The surge protector is mounted properly at the cable entry point, and the AP is positioned for optimal line-of-sight to the yard. Everything looks like a professional did it, because one did. Customer service was on point start to finish. Showed up on time, kept me updated, cleaned up after the work, and walked me through what was installed and why. Even helped me verify the 2.5 Gbps link was negotiating properly before they left. Pricing was genuinely reasonable for the project and definitely less than I'd budgeted, and well below what I was quoted by another installer who wanted to push me toward their preferred equipment. Would absolutely use them again for the next phase of this project (running speaker wire and audio components to a detached garage). If you have a specific install in mind and want someone who'll execute your plan properly rather than override it, David's your guy. read more

Thank Goodness I have found David. Now I feel I do not have to worry about any problems I have with TV and audiovisual equipment at home. David is extremely knowledgeable. When my TV was not working, he came and explained to me how he tested the various components of my TV system, and how he came to the conclusion of what to change and how to fix it and he fixed it in no time at a very reasonable price. Because of the great experience I had with him, I subsequently asked him to move and install a table and monitoring system for a computer system and again he did that in a reliable fashion, with no worries. I can trust David to do an excellent job at the best price and take care of my concerns. I asked him to fix my other TV and install headphones so my children could listen to the TV while I work. He was able to come at the end of his busy day, buy the appropriate headphones and equipment and did an excellent job of it all. He is so hardworking and good at his job and very good at trying to accommodate busy schedules. I will be using David for any subsequent TV and audiovisual repairs and installations and I cannot recommend him highly enough. Yelp deleted my review that I posted in February. I think it may be a computer defect that YELP doesn't fix. There is nothing wrong with my review above so yelp don't delete it please!! David is very reliable, works quickly, and performs top-notch work. Plus, he will travel to most parts of the Los Angeles area (e.g., I live in Glendale). I've hired David to do a number of jobs, the biggest of which was mounting my 65-inch TV to my living room wall. He did a tremendous job: all of the wires were hidden, and he gave me options for the types of mounts I wanted, which he installed seamlessly. I was very pleased with the work and the price point. I also hired David to install flood lights over my garage, and to install a chandelier in my kitchen. Like his work on the TV installation, the work was absolutely top rate. David was great. He came out to assess the room where the new AVR and speakers would be set up, and gave us a fair quote. Came on time and set up the system professionally. Made sure that he spoke with me when there were options available for anything, i.e. speaker placement, height, etc. What we thought would be an easy rewiring of an existing 5.1 speaker system, turned out to be a challenge (1929 house with old walls). He came through and was able to place the speakers in the right places. He also was able to troubleshoot an error message (HDCP 2.2) hooking up my new Amazon Fire Cube and my 4 year old Samsung 4kUHD TV. Who knew that the HDMI ports on the back of the TV would be different from each other with only HDMI 3 being HDCP 2.2 compliant. I would definitely recommend him for an AVR/Speaker setup. read more

David has done two recent jobs for us. He installed lighting along our front steps. To do so he brought several sample lights and came at night so we could see how each of them looked and illuminated the front walk. It made it so much easier to choose. Then he installed them two days later. He also made some improvements in the close where the timer was installed so that access was easier. Yesterday he installed a sprinkler timer.
