The RHD who did his cleaning was incredibly engaged, thoughtful and kind to my child. She explained each step, showed him how all the equipment worked, and moved slowly and gently as she did the cleaning- while still talking him through each step. He had fun, laughed throughout, and felt in control of himself. On a previous experience with my 10 year old- much the same- They had a terrible time with the last provider and was absolutely traumatized before so getting them through the door the first time here was full of trepidation. Those fears and concerns were immediately relieved as soon as the tech came to talk to my child. My child even allowed a tender spot to be worked on and injecting a numbing agent- This kid is terrified of needles- they administered them with very little pain!- because the tech was gentle and kind and thoughtful with the work they were doing to ensure minimal discomfort. I absolutely recommend Maple Grove Dental for anyone with children. They understand patient care.

Instead of taking shortcuts with painful equipment, my hygienist cleaned by teeth gently by hand. The dentist himself was extremely nice and gentle. If I had known going to the dentist could be this painless, I would have gone years ago.

I'm so grateful I have been able to maintain sobriety and accomplish as much as I have in the last four and a half years, that being said though, no matter what I did, having a mouth of black and broken teeth left me feeling incomplete and killed my confidence. On January 27th, 2026, after only a couple of thorough but quick and easy consultations, Dr. Hoyer performed the surgery necessary for me to sign a new lease on a fresh set of chompers. The difference this has made for me in such a short amount of time is unreal. I find myself with happy tears sometimes when I am able to look a stranger in the face and smile and say hello. My favorite thing to do in the morning now is to look in the mirror and smile at myself, nice and big! I haven't felt this confident since I was 18 and I am now 36. Couldn't have asked for a nicer guy, couldn't have found someone that did the work any better. Thank you, Dr. Hoyer, I am forever and ever so grateful.

I was greeted by the friendliest receptionist (Amanda) and a clean and warm waiting room. I guess I went at a busier time than the reviewer above because there was quite a flow of people in and out, at surprisingly an early hour - 8:00 AM. Then, my hygienist (Afi) was not only professional but outgoing and super sweet! She was thorough about checking my teeth and sharing what she was doing as she was poking around my gums! Dr. Lee and her assistant were just as friendly but more importantly quick to assess my teeth! And when I told her about my concerns of potential cavities- she assured me that the X-rays indicated healthy teeth and just to be careful about my grinding. (Yup, need to remember to wear my mouthguard at night!) Overall, I definitely would go back and recommend others to Midwest Dental and to see Dr. Lee and her staff. With many choices in Madison for dentists, Midwest is the most professional and best choice!

I have called 3-4 times throughout this time and they have not provided any assurance of a refund. They are essentially double charging for the service and committing insurance fraud. I will continue to try to get my refund and I hope I get my approximately $400 back but for now I would not recommend this office if you would like timely administrative service. I will update if this changes. Update: when Dr. Mccormick learned about what was going on via this review (apparently the secretary had not been communicating this issue to him) he called me up and apologized and asked me to call him personally if anything like this happens again. They were very gracious and professional in handling this grievance and will be refunding me this week.

Dr. McCormick left no negative impressions on me and I had no worries about returning to have a cavity drilled. Before giving me a shot of anesthetic the doctor did not numb the surface of my mouth like other dentists have but told me the shot would pinch. He said he was trying to get close to a nerve and the closer he got the more it would pinch. He also said that even if he hit the nerve he couldn't do any damage because the needle was just too small. My tongue went numb very quickly and the rest of my mouth soon followed. Hours later the feeling returned to my mouth except for the right side of my tongue. The tooth I had worked on was then overly sensitive to cold and for days the area around the tooth was also very sore when I ate raw vegetables or almonds which was unlike any other dental treatment I've had. My tongue remained partially numb. I made a third appointment to address these issues and had a desensitizer put on the tooth. This treatment was successful. However, when I questioned Dr. McCormick about the numbness in my tongue he told me I probably bit myself while my mouth was numbed without realizing it and quickly left the room before I could say that it didn't feel like a bight. I have bitten myself many times before while having epileptic seizures and know the feeling very well. It has now been 2 months since Dr. McCormick has given me that anesthetic and my tongue does not feel any different than it did the day after the shot. I feel like I've been lied to by a dentist who is not concerned with the comfort of his patients or is unaware of the possibilities of his actions. I would not recommend Dr. McCormick to anyone.
