He hired Sean Bowler to try and resolve the errors he (my son) had made. We hired Sean Bowler and found him to be detail-oriented and organized in his approach for the San Bernadino hearing for change of jurisdiction. His paralegal, Sara Davis, had great communication and set up remote online access for the hearing as my son lives in AZ. The receptionist, Laurie, was helpful in setting up a consultation and ongoing communication with my son. Mr. Bowler was able to change the juridiction for my son's dissolution of marriage case and it went back to AZ where it should have been all along. I did meet with Mr. Bundy when he offered to look over documents for free, however, when our case became too difficult to handle, he offered to try our whole case the night before we were due in court. He said we had to pay him via PayPal right away, and we did. He arrived for our case via videochat the next morning, and when the judge asked for his filed paperwork, he stated he had not done it, and the judge dismissed him. The judge told him he did not do what he was supposed to do and, therefore, could not represent us. We stood in court shocked and lost our case. I have been asking for our money back now for almost one year, and Mr. Bundy continues to ignore me or respond he will get back to me. I showed up at his office unexpectedly, and he didn't even remember who I was. I had to remind him. Of course, he said he would get me an itemized list by Monday, the 24th of March. I reminded him that there should be nothing to itemize. I texted him the morning of the 24th and never heard back. DO NOT BE A FOOL like myself and get swindled by Mr. Bundy. I expected professionalism, clear communication, and actual preparation. That's not what I experienced. During the consultation, Lauren was extremely convincing. She said all the right things and made me feel confident hiring her. Looking back, my experience did not match what was presented to me at all. After I paid the retainer, I was billed an additional $12,150 just 2.5 weeks later. Then, only 2 hours after sending that bill, I received a substitution of attorney request. The timing felt abrupt and honestly concerning. From there, communication quickly broke down. She ultimately moved to withdraw close to trial, leaving me in a stressful position trying to figure things out while my case was still active. Another major issue- she rarely appears at hearings herself. Instead, her associate, Aniko, is sent in her place. This was not something that Lauren does not clearly explain during the consultation process! The communication overall was incredibly poor. On the morning of an ex parte hearing, I received a text from Lauren saying, "Court is looking for you. Are you on your way?".. despite never being clearly told the hearing date or time. When I asked where that information had been provided, I was directed back to the filing itself, which did not list a hearing date. At that point, there was still no meaningful trial preparation or evidence package completed for my case.
