When it came to my birth, I ended up having atypical HELLP syndrome, where Dr. Ghausi had to perform an emergency C section while I was under general anesthesia. He and his staff located at his office are amazing and his aides/nurses are so friendly! Highly recommend him whenever someone is looking for a Dr. He was very knowledgeable, straight to the point, answered all of our questions and gave sound advice. His staff is also so friendly and personable. Every time I checked in, they would greet me by name before I even checked in properly. Let's you know they all care! As for me - I had a scheduled C-section and it was preformed flawlessly. He and his team put me at ease even though this wasn't my first rodeo. They allowed us to play our own music, talked to us the whole time, and overall it was just a pleasant and memorable experience. Dr. Ghausi and his care team are all amazing! I came to the office as a high risk pregnancy and I was under great care since Day 1. Dr Ghausi had great bedside manner, went ahead with all anticipated questions I might have had and his team were always excellent with all type of paperwork for first-time parents. All is very knowledgable, patient and personable - Dr. Ghausi always checked up notes before appointments and his team always greet us by names even before I checked in properly. I've had 3 children, this was my worst experience. The doctor didn't order labs later in my pregnancy so we didn't know how anemic I was until it was time to give birth basically. At one point I actually diagnosed myself with anemia and asked for more labs but I started to feel better shortly after and decided not to do the labs since my insurance didn't cover as much as id expected. Additionally, it was clear he decided I needed to have a c section and wasn't confident in his ability to birth my baby early on. She was 8.5 lbs, hardly a difficult birth. The ultrasound tech was telling him my baby would be at least 9 lb but I was losing weight at 38 weeks pregnant and knew the baby was moving around. I went to him because of the yelp reviews, I deeply regret it. read more

He guided me through my first and subsequent pregnancies (which were no picnic), answered all my questions, gave great advice, and performed my C-sections (one unexpectedly in the middle of the night!). Rude, unprofessional and playing tricks are a few words to describe this place. We called to book an appointment and the nurse or receptionist ( she did not mention her name or position) after she took all our information in details and made sure that our insurance will pay them well, she said the doctor will not be able to see you until he reviews all your records from previous doctors (for a basic delivery) and we asked to schedule an appointment while we work on getting the medical records, she answered with an attitude no you need to send us the records first and we will assess if we can see your not !!!! I have been in the medical field for more than 2 decades and never saw such cheap tricks " to act important! " Will not go to this office and will not recommend him to any of my patients . read more

Hands down the best OB around!!! I just had my 4th baby with him and I can't say enough good things! He is so patient and caring and really listens to you and your concerns! He isn't pushy with anything and very easy to talk to you, I usually had my kids with me at appointments and it would be chaos and loud but he was always laughing and chatting with them like it was no big deal I had them and they were loud. The office staff is amazing to, they will help you wIth anything and take care of everything, they would give my boys stickers n help me out when I needed. I had no idea that a doctor could be this great to work with. I used to be with a big HMO and then changed to a PPO plan when I wanted to get more options for pregnancy. The list of doctors in my area was overwhelming but luckily several local moms recommended Dr Ghausi. I started with him in the 2nd trimester and the transfer from my prior doctor was seamless. What I really liked about working with him was his incredible presence and care. When you're talking to him you know that he's listening. He never is pushy, he is always patient, and is willing to talk through options to find a healthcare solution that works for you while simultaneously explaining the risks and benefits of it. His Nurse Practitioner is a dream to work with and Darcy, one of the office ladies, is very knowledgeable with paperwork to help navigate pregnancy leave letters. Whenever I was worried about anything I could call the office and get a reply within 1 business day. He also kept unnecessary testing to a minimum and was good at sharing timelines and reasons for testing. When I requested additional referrals for things like pregnancy physical therapy or to see a anatomical ultrasound scan specialist for extra peace of mind he was helpful and responsive. Overall, throughout my entire pregnancy, I felt like I had an advocate and healthcare partner with this doctor. I delivered an incredibly healthy baby and was able to avoid a c-section and induction by being able to have honest, informed, conversations about my care and collaborate on preventative and whole body options. I also appreciated that he worked well with my doula, the hospital staff, and other specialists. No ego.... just care. Overall I would recommend any woman who wants empathetic, informed, care to go see him. I know that Yelp glorifies 1 star reviews and refuses to take them down even if they're fake, but seriously, the angry man who decided to write a one star review is clearly some kind of freak or scammer... this is an OB / pregnancy support office. I've been waiting a while to write this review...over nine months, in fact! I made my first appointment to see Dr. Ghausi and about a week before the appointment found out I was pregnant. What timing. I was extremely pleased with my care throughout the pregnancy. Dr. Ghausi is knowledgable, attentive, and willing to answer lots of questions, and was overall very flexible with my preference for fewer interventions, tests, etc. I had originally made an appointment with him because several friends recommended him as being pretty hands off during labor (if that's what you want), but I ended up needing a c-section (baby was breech), and that went really smoothly. Martha went out of her way to help me get the c-section scheduled for when I wanted it, contacting the hospital multiple times to check for a cancelation. Becky is a total sweetheart. I started seeing Dr. Ghausi very recently and so far I'm a huge fan. I recently required some gynecological care and didn't have a doctor in the Westlake area. My general doctor recommended Dr. Ghausi along with several female doctors. Typically I prefer a female gynecologist because I figure they'll relate to the female experience better than a man. But I gave him a try and I'm glad I did! He's super nice, very easy to talk to and doesn't make me feel self-conscious talking about my issues. I will admit, when I first met him I thought he was young enough to be my son and I couldn't figure out how this kid could possibly understand vaginas! But he's older than he looks and he definately knows what he's talking about. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a cool doctor and a great gynecologist. read more

This review is 2 years past due...!! I should have done this review long ago. Dr Ghausi is the most amazing, caring and at the same time incredibly professional Ob/Gyn I have ever experienced. It took me a while to find the right Ob when I moved to Ventura Co. I was scared with my first pregnancy and wanted an Ob with a great bedside manner and knowledge, of course! He was so attentive to all my questions and concerns. When my first pregnancy ended in a miscarriage he was so incredible in a time that was very difficult. He gave me great care and compassion. 3 months later I was preggers again :) I delivered at Los Robles and I couldn't have asked for a better experience with Dr. Ghausi. Dr. Ghausi kind of fell into my lap because no other doctors I had in mind took my insurance. I did what a typical person does and did some research online. The reviews were great but I still take reviews with a grain of salt because you just never know. I was a little late to my appt at first because my darn GPS had me going in circles, but when I called his office his staff was very attentive and didn't have an attitude like my old OB's office did. So that was a huge turn around. I went for an annual at first when I saw him and a couple of months later, I went to him again because I was pregnant with my second son. Don't get me wrong, I've never had a male OB regularly (there was a male OB at my other OB) so it was a little awkward from what I was used to. Overall, my pregnancy experience with Dr. Ghausi was really relaxing. I really didn't have that many questions considering this was my second child but when I did have questions, he never gave me attitude and answered me with an educated response, not what he generally thought what would be the best option for me. Not going to lie, he does look really young which can be different for your doctor environment but he knows his stuff! I'll be keeping him as my OB as long as I can :) read more

Like others this review is way overdue! Dr. Ghausi saved my life! No joke! After numerous tests he found cancer cells in my cervix- they were localized to just the cervix and was a Stage Zero. I had no clue what to do or how to react. I was in shock! Dr. Ghausi explained to my husband and I what the the best treatment for me at my age would be. I remember clearly that even though he had other patients waiting he took as much time as we needed to discuss the hysterectomy i would have.
