I have been looking around for an OB as I just found out we are expecting. As a nurse, first impressions are so important to me. Healthcare is already becoming such an impersonal field and it's something that is important. Anyhow, I call the office after picking a few that my insurance stated were "in-network". The receptionist immediately asks what insurance I have and states you need to call your insurance and check if it's covered. I replied that I had and it was also on their website as in network. It felt like she didn't want me to make an appointment for some reason and answered back "I do not have time to verify if we take your insurance" I at this point was slightly shocked, I repeated that Dr. Grossman was listed on my insurances website as "in-network" and she then says "just to let you know Dr. grossman charges a $100 service/admin fee yearly which will be collected your first appointment" ok... that's fine... she still wouldn't let me book an appointment. I'm honestly just so shocked at the conversation that just transpired. Horrible first impression, unfortunately I will be looking elsewhere. read more

My wife and I were looking for a compassionate doctor to help her through her new pregnancy. This doctor showed up as an experienced OB, affiliated with the local hospital, so we gave him a shot. I have been going to Dr. Grossman for over 10+ years and have always received the best care during my routine visits. However, a few months ago, I needed to have a minor surgical procedure that included general anesthesia. I had never been under and was very worried. I can say that from the first office visit(to go over the surgery) to the day I went home was the best experience. I feel incredibly blessed beyond words to have found Dr. Grossman as my OBGYN. Thank you Dr Grossman, in one of my darkest times you were the light I needed. I feel as if god sent him as a earth Angel to help me through an incredible scary and hard time. To feel safe, cared for and educated during my journey was the greatest gift I could have been given and I thank you Dr. Grossman for gifting me with that. Here's my story and how Dr. Grossman and his office went above and beyond to make sure I was not only ok, but healing correctly while helping me to get to my goals. I'm a mother of three. I've never had a miscarriage or an abortion. I was 3 months pregnant with my 4th child. I never had a problem in any of my other pregnancy's, but due to not having insurance, feeling incredibly sick everyday, our crazy lives with the Covid and our children's daily home school schedule. I didn't go or even have an OBGYN lined up for this pregnancy. I was going to handle all of this after my daughter was done with school in June. The day before I was 3 months pregnant I started to bleed this was Friday afternoon. I never bled in any of my other pregnancy's. I was so worried the first action I took was I sat and prayed I called my favorite prayer hotline. Fast Forward after lots of worry and concern. My friend recommend her OBGYN to me Dr Grossman on Sat morning. She said to call them and try and see if he's available he is a high risk OBGYN Dr. and if anyone can help you he can. So I called his office and they took me that day. Within 2 hours I was there. We drove all the way from Manhattan beach to Thousand Oaks. They took all my medical history down and then it was time for the ultra sound. I was so afraid, relieved and nervous. The baby was in my womb, but without a heart beat. I was in shock. I saw our sweet baby in my uterus but with no heart beat. I've seen my other children's heart beat, but our 4th child didn't have one. Tears rolled down my face. Dr. Grossman was so gentle and compassionate I could feel he cared even though he never met me before. He gave me a moment then he kindly sat me in his office and explained what was going on. He gave me everything I needed to know, what to expect and do next. He empowered me. I really appreciated this. He told me it was something that was wrong with the baby and it wasn't my fault. He gave me 3 options that I could consider in regards to shedding my uterus. Option #1 I could let the miscarriage happen naturally, Option #2 I could take medication to flush the baby out. Option #3 I could have a DNC. I wanted to do it naturally, this did not feel real, but I left his office feeling a sense of peace and security in what's to come. I was so grateful I saw our baby in the ultra sound. I saved a picture and will add it in this review. My mother was driving me home and within the hour drive home I started to bleed. A little blood to the blood gushing out. I was having a miscarriage, just like Dr Grossman told me. I arrived home and went through lots of cramping and bleeding as my uterus was flushing out. Sunday morning cake and more was flushing out, but I didn't feel right so I reached out to his office to see if my symptoms were normal? Dr. Grossman personally called me back and helped calm my worries. He said everything I was experiencing was normal, but if I'm to light headed to consider going to the ER cause I could have lost a lot of blood. Also he mentioned I should take some Iron and I cannot remember everything else he said. But I felt in good hands and I had a sense of peace just by Dr Grossman taking the time to make sure I was ok. With in the next hour of our conversation I flushed out the rest, some big blood clots and my placenta and then my body was feeling better. Dr. Grossman called me again in the evening to check on me and I was on the mend. I wasn't perfect but I felt stronger then when we last spoke. To have a Dr. personally take the time to care and help insure I was ok was really incredible to me. I really really appreciated his patent care that he provided. He recommended I come in the next day to see if everything flushed out. So I came in Monday afternoon. The two women in his office Gina and Taresa we're so caring and companionate. Dr. Grossman checked me and found my uterus didn't completely flush everything. So he gave me some options and I'm working on them now. I'll let you know the rest of the story once its completed. But the moral of the story is I couldn't have had the success I had or the peace of mind I had without his support through this. Dr Grossman was very encouraging and positive through my whole experience. He blessed my womb and my dreams and I'm forever grateful. My his practice be blessed and thrive. read more

Your temperature is taken before each visit and your partner is allowed in during the visits. For me, he is managing my first pregnancy which has had many bumps along the way.
