While completing an exam she said " have you had sex with your husband today?" This practice was my primary care facility until today. When I called to schedule my annual wellness visit, I was presented with multiple membership options - what?! As a victim of the recent fires, I did not have the energy for the mental gymnastics of figuring this multi-tier membership BS. So I decided to switch primary care providers. I don't know what this place is anymore - med spa, wellness center, medical practice, a gym?! Who charges a membership fee for primary care? I am incredibly disappointed with my recent experience with this clinic while trying to make an appointment with my long-time provider, who has recently moved here. What should have been a simple process to reconnect with provider and move toward refilling my HRT prescriptions turned into an infuriating ordeal that left me questioning the integrity of a place that is supposed to be focused on patient care. When I called to schedule an appointment, I was immediately given a sales pitch about their membership options. When I declined any kind of membership option, she then presented a cheaper membership option. At this point, I felt it was essential to clarify my situation: I'm a widow with two teenage boys, and we've just returned from a catastrophic fire, I have insurance but cannot manage membership fees, I am simply seeking medical care from my provider. Instead of compassion or understanding, the representative coldly steered the conversation toward cash pay options. To add insult to injury, I was informed that I couldn't even book an appointment without putting down a $100 deposit--just to reserve my name on the schedule! Honestly, this felt more like a shakedown than a healthcare appointment. Days later I decided to cancel the appointment; I shouldn't have to navigate such hurdles just to get the medical assistance I need. After I canceled within the required two-day window, I received an email from the patient coordinator asking if I'd like them to hold my "non-refundable" deposit. I was incredulous. I was never informed that the $100 required to simply make an appointment itself was non-refundable - which is outrageous to begin with. I called the office to get the charge reversed - which they claim they will,,, we'll see - AND to express my displeasure in my whole experience, wrongly imagining they would be interested. Rather than listening, the woman I spoke with interrupted and spoke over me. When I tried to compete and complete my thoughts, she accused me of yelling and stopped listening altogether using an adolescent deflection. This experience reinforced my belief that this clinic operates on a business model geared toward profit not patient care. I am truly disheartened by my caregiver's decision to join this for-profit, "concierge" med spa that prioritizes financial gain over patient care. I miss my provider so much but I would never ever patronize a business like this, not even for her. Some to make pain with intercourse go away. Some to make holding your urine all night possible. Some to counteract the effects of dryness. Dr C has gone a direction in her health care services where she seems to be trying to build an empire that makes her a lot of money. She is now greedy and money focused. She is also pushing hormone pellets clearly as a lucrative money maker for her when they could be doing the simple estrogen patch and progesterone pill, instead of paying $650 for pellets. When you read the menopause books by the top authors, including Dr Mary Clair Haver, they do not recommend pellets for the general population or testosterone pellets. A deal breaker is her pointing out cosmetic procedures to women coming to her for OB and hormone balancing. For example, recommending a neck procedure when one isn't looking for cosmetic enhancements. It's insulting and offensive. Especially when one didn't even notice anything wrong with their neck. Please do better Dr C. Women these days are well read and informed and can intuitively sense your motives. And we talk amongst our friends. It's wrong and the natural consequences will materialize when it comes to your practice. And you could lose employees in the process, due to your harsh nature. read more

Dr C is amazing!!! I've had hypothyroidism for 15 years and tried so many medications and regimens. My thyroid has never been stable and I was always exhausted, kept putting on weight and was so depressed. Other doctors didn't listen and blamed everything on my weight . Dr C listened. She always does. Since she started to treat me I've never felt better. My thyroid has been stable for over a year now and I've lost over 60lbs. She is magic! The staff at her office wonderful. It was my first time in their office . Wait was over 45 minutes for a small office and with an appointment. I'm not counting the time took me to fill out gazillian waivers regarding beauty procedures she offers. She had trainee with her , asked me if I was okay with her being there I said yes . She asked questions regarding religion , diet and preferred sex . Very detailed background questions. Part I didn't enjoy was that during evaluation she also had trainee and another nurse with her . Nurse was on the other side of me and she told the nurse come to the other side in a rude way. I very much judge people on how they treat others and as a superior to the nurse , she was just plain rude. Mind you I gave birth and I still didn't have that many people staring at me for routine check up . In fact the reason why I prefer female physician that they don't require 3rd party witnesses in case of lawsuits. She also was very rough handed . Pap smears are not fun but this was most memorable as far as how rough it was. For a women she sure doesn't have gentle touch. Anyways I will not be going back. I'm not sure why there is so many good reviews about this place . Decor was confused . There was Xmas tree yet Buddhist art. Tv was playing drugs that they sell. read more
