Terrible bedside manner, won't answer questions. No follow up phone calls. Has a delicate ego. Find another urologist.

Bad Place, Horrible Clinic's Staff. Horrible Clinic, Rude Clinical Staff…read more Dr. Lev Elterman, MD Clinic Located in Skokie IL - Very Rude Staff, Arrogant Staff. My experience at the clinic was bad experience in the "Elterman Center for Women's and Men's Health, Skokie, IL" Very Rude Staff, Horrible Staff at the "Elterman Center for Women's and Men's Health, Skokie, IL" as I went to inquire with the receptionist, and although they had no clients waiting at the receptionist desk, I was made to wait excess of 45 minutes to simply talk with the receptionist. Ella who claimed to be the Manager of the Clinic, was Very Rude and Was Not Professional at At All!!(not sure about the receptionist's name spelling). The Skokie IL Clinic Manager (or so she claimed to be the manager), told me: "There are many Urologists around and go find another Urologist!!!!". This encounter took place at the "Elterman Center for Women's and Men's Health, Skokie, IL". Apparently, the Staff at the clinic "Elterman Center for Women's and Men's Health, Skokie, IL" does not really care about their clients as they feel they have enough customer/patient flow to feel they do not need to maintain positive relationship with their customers or patients. I do not recommend the "Elterman Center for Women's and Men's Health, Skokie, IL". The clinic is clouded with patients at the front. I am not sure this is within the "Health Code" for occupancy limits.

Some may think that's excessive but because it's so easy to get a test here (it usually takes less than a minute) and it doesn't cost me anything my insurance (Aetna previously and Anthem now) covers an unlimited amount of tests. I wholeheartedly agree with Emily C.'s review. Dr. Ryu is a fantastic integrative medical doctor…read more For example, she will prescribe drugs AND suggest acupuncture, supplements, or guided meditation to help your body heal (if you're open to that). She is truly a gem - smart, patient, kind, and a genuinely caring person. I began seeing Dr. Ryu when she still practicing in Los Angeles because *ALL* my friends, neighbors and coworkers saw her (including my doctor friends at Cedars Sinai). We were so bummed when she moved to Evanston. But luckily for me, I moved to Chicago recently and looked her up. Even though there are tons of highly competent physicians in the city, I still make the trek up to Evanston just to see Dr. Ryu. Love her!

I saw a 3 doctors over 4 years- desperate to see if one of them could come up with a diagnosis that made sense. Dr. Ryu was awful, had zero empathy, nothing to offer medically, and did harm. She told me I should have stayed with the first doctor I saw. I'm pretty sure if Dr. Ryu couldn't work or take care of her children she would try more than one doctor- especially if she wasn't improving. If you have a severe health problem - do not give up. The next doctor I tried was able to help me significantly. I later found a kind doctor who helped me further- Dr. Dominic Patawaran at I-squared medicine. He has a concierge practice- but that investment more than paid off in an increased ability to work and function. Good luck!!
