I'm disappointed with the patient follow-up protocols in the neurosurgery department. My hard-to-get appointment had been booked for months. It was abruptly cancelled this morning. They claimed they tried to reach me. I had no messages either through the portal or my home telephone line. Maybe try a little harder? I also was stunned at how unapologetic the receptionist was. Look, I realize it's a long holiday weekend, but our time matters, too. You came up short here. Do better.

When I saw my allergy doctor, I waited for 15 minutes after checking in and was wondering what was going on. They pretty much lied to me and told me all the rooms are full when I saw like 5 empty ones when they walked me to a room because they definitely just forgot and didn't care about me. The allergist doctor who saw me is great so I feel bad that she is working with incompetent office employees like this. After I saw my allergist, she told the office employee to make sure we do a video meeting because it was both convenient for both of us. I checked today to check in for the meeting and it turns out the office employee still put an in-person meeting and not a video meeting despite the own doctor instructing her right in front of me. And then today when I called to confirm about my meeting to make sure it was a video meeting, I told them about my issues and how it seems like the employees here don't care about me. The receptionist who answered my call thought I hung up when I thought I was supposed to wait on the line. She didn't hang up and she ended up mocking me and my problems and she then realized I was still on the line when I said something. She was then nervous and kept telling me to hang on because she was not competent enough to realize she and I were still on the line. The office employees here are an absolute disgrace who have poor training and Northshore does not care for their patients and their feedback even though they ask them for surveys. It's extremely sad to treat patients like this. I think the doctors here are fine but the incompetent office employees are a massive roadblock to get through that I don't think it is worth going through.

Dr. Mark Brandt with Uropartners has been my urologist for over a decade.  He and his staff  have…read moreover the years kept on top of my urological health and related preventive maintenance.   He is a very knowledgeable and experienced urologist, a top dog at Uropartners, and also Chairman of the Urology Department at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital.  He is communicative with a dry sense of humor and also doesn't waste time.  I'm really happy and comfortable to be under his surveillance.  He also has two dedicated, knowledgeable, and long time 15+ year PA's whom I have also met over the years - Donna Mullahy and Brian Hennig. Apparently Uropartners as a medical group has quite a few offices throughout Chicagoland, but I have only dealt with the two offices in or near Park Ridge - namely this one, and the one at Resurrection Medical Center. Originally the receptionist was patient and replied, "We have no doctor by that name". I then realized that "MM" was a Nurse Practitioner, not a physician. I tried calling back 3 different times and my call went to voicemail each time. I then used a different phone and what do you know, she answered! I told this same receptionist, "I apologize for calling again but the person I was looking for is actually a nurse practitioner, not a physician. Do you have an a Nurse Practitioner by the name of MM?" This receptionist [unknown name but her voice sounded of Indian descent] replied, "We don't have nurse practitioners here! I already told you, there is no one here by that name!" and hung up on me!!!! Was that really necessary? So, concerning my 2nd, 3rd and 4th call, she must've seen my number coming through and chose not to answer. When she saw a number from "a different caller", then realized it was me and was extremely rude. WHY? I guess office personnel these days have "the right" to determine which incoming calls they answer and which ones are left for voicemail. To me, it is very sad that people are able to and chose to abuse others as a result of technology.

My experience at the clinic was bad experience in the "Elterman Center for Women's and Men's Health, Skokie, IL" Very Rude Staff, Horrible Staff at the "Elterman Center for Women's and Men's Health, Skokie, IL" as I went to inquire with the receptionist, and although they had no clients waiting at the receptionist desk, I was made to wait excess of 45 minutes to simply talk with the receptionist. Ella who claimed to be the Manager of the Clinic, was Very Rude and Was Not Professional at At All!!(not sure about the receptionist's name spelling). The Skokie IL Clinic Manager (or so she claimed to be the manager), told me: "There are many Urologists around and go find another Urologist!!!!". This encounter took place at the "Elterman Center for Women's and Men's Health, Skokie, IL". Apparently, the Staff at the clinic "Elterman Center for Women's and Men's Health, Skokie, IL" does not really care about their clients as they feel they have enough customer/patient flow to feel they do not need to maintain positive relationship with their customers or patients. I do not recommend the "Elterman Center for Women's and Men's Health, Skokie, IL". The clinic is clouded with patients at the front. I am not sure this is within the "Health Code" for occupancy limits.

This is so easy to get your covid tests, I use this place anytime I have a big gathering with…read morefriends. Some may think that's excessive but because it's so easy to get a test here (it usually takes less than a minute) and it doesn't cost me anything my insurance (Aetna previously and Anthem now) covers an unlimited amount of tests. It takes less than a minute, I never have to make an appointment (walk-in), if there is a line it takes at most 5 mins. There's plenty of parking there so it's not hard to drive over. All you have to do is register online once and they'll add your report in the portal.
