Based on my experience I would say stay away from Dr David Linder. I wish I had never seen him the first time. He put me on so many drugs. Other Doctors have recommended removing many and lowering the dose of others. read more

It has been wonderful knowing Dr. Linder and having this relationship. During each visit or phone call where I can talk and open up it has proven to be a beneficial experience. At first, there were difficulties that we had to address together. Now, it is second nature to open up when we talk. It deserves to be said that such a profession is a difficult one. You are dealing with a variety of people with a variety of psychological conditions to treat. I know the results can be mixed from own experiences and what I hear from others. The Office staff at this practice are the worst I have ever dealt with. They lost confidential background information regarding my family member that was faxed to the office by 2 persons. When I filled out the paperwork a second time they ignored the Insurance Billing information, forced me to pay a co-pay when it wasn't necessary, and failed to follow-up to bill the right insurance carrier (Just keep on sending me late notices and penalties they want me to pay that is due to their own ineptitude). Dr. Linder has diagnosed myself and several family/friends as bipolar. These patients left his care, went to others doctors, and are not diagnosed bipolar. Also, the office is so difficult to deal with. Would not recommend. read more

Too often, people think that a Psychiatrist should listen to their life story, and help them iron out their woes. WRONG. A Psychiatrist is a medical doctor who specializes in prescribing medications for your biological issues. A Psychologist or Therapist is where you go to work through emotional issues. As an individual who has suffered mental illness for over 30 years, I have learned the hard way that so many Psychiatrists will overmedicate you, prescribe the wrong drug-then increase it when you tell them it's not working, and should you mention unpleasant side effects, you are told to "deal with it". I think it's easier to turn us into a zombie than treat us properly. NOT SO with Dr. Linder. I'm a tough case to treat, but he did not shy away when I first saw him 14 years ago. He is the one who was able to stabilize my Bipolar 1, ADHD, Anxiety Disorder with terrible mixed episodes without leaving me feeling NUMB. I have had to make very few adjustments over the years, and once when I was in a crucial situation a few years back he was the ONLY Psychiatrist who would help me. I flew back to California from the East Coast to see him. I read reviews about folks bringing children to him and feeling he misdiagnosed them. Please - do research - it is HARD to diagnose a child, the symptoms cross over all over the board - and they cannot communicate like an adult can. Dr. Linder is my savior. I know that if something is not right, I get 1000% of his attention and concern, nothing gets by the man and he is passionate about making his patients "comfortable" immediately. Having seen over 12 Psychiatrists throughout my adult life, I have some expertise here. Do yourself a favor and see him. You will not regret it. read more

I LOVE Dr Linder(professionally). He is very straight forward and makes you feel like he is interested in your overall well being. If you are having to meet a psychiatrist -- you should know it's a long process, costly, but well worth it! If you are looking for a friend this is not your guy.... That's why there are psychologists. This is your future-- financially it is a great investment and Dr David Linder is the psychiatrist to go to. Oh! And the office staff is great!! If I could give this craptastic place zero stars, I would. Here is my story: I had my 14-year-old Autistic son come in for some life skills. On my first scheduled visit, we were almost turned away because the office failed to inform the therapist that they had an appointment so we got placed into an office with a lady that was not aware of our needs. She took notes, when asked, the therapist stated she never received them. On my second trip to the office. I was once again greeted with the explanation that the person that my son was to see was not there and they once again placed us with another person that was not aware of our needs, nothing was accomplished. On the third visit, my son was finally introduced to the therapist, Nadine. I mentioned the issues we had prior to meeting her, she was kind enough to work it out so they comp'ed us the first two visits due to the lack competence of the Folsom Office. While Nadine was very nice and pleasant to work with, it was just not working out. She had nothing to offer my son, no suggestions and said this really isn't something she does, even though we were sent to her specifically because she's a specialist for autistic children. This led to me canceling all remaining appointments. At this point I was under the impression that this was the end of our relationship. TWO YEARS later, we get a notice that $350 had been deducted from our checking account for "missed appointments". I called, freaked out and was told there was nothing they could do and that the owner was there but would not take our call. I am still fighting with these jerks over the bill, but wanted to warn future potential clients about the experience. DO NOT USE THESE INCOMPETENT people! read more

The final straw was yesterday.... We have a confirmation phone call from the office. Yet when we arrived no one was there to see our child. This is now the 3rd time this has happened. Yet each time we get billed for missing appointments. OVER $600 BILLED FOR APPOINTMENTS WE NEVER MISSED. This practice is so messed up I don't think they even know whats going on. My son was Dr. Linder's patient for 11 years. All those years I trusted the man, starred at the diplomas behind his head and convinced myself to stop arguing that my son did not show the typical symptoms of bipolar disorder. The office over charged us, Dr Linder gave consultations over the phone (after my son was an adult) and charged full visitations to the insurance company, when my son was hospitalized Dr Linder did not respond the calls from Sutter and NEVER gave us a call. It was a misdiagnosis. So many medications and so many adverse reactions and complications from 12-22 years old. Please complain to the Medical Board. Today, I got a bill from Dr Linder. We have not had any contact with them for 5 years. So many horrible memories and now I have to deal with them again. read more

On scheduling my appt. . I was told Dr Linder would need at least 3 appt to evaluate and make a diagnose and I would be required to give them my credit card # to schedule with them the charge would be $420 .On arrival I was required to fill out a number of forms one of which was an Authorization to charge my credit card .At that time his office staff informed me they would be charging my credit card the "Initial $420" to be seen that day. When I questioned that I was informed it was $420 per appt. for a total of $1260 for the 3 appt.!! Not the $420 I was quoted earlier.I was shocked and disappointed by there deceptive practices ! I did not return the completed Authorization form ! I told them I was not prepared to pay those exuberant fees and would not be keeping that appt due to a miscommunication by his office staff. They promptly charged my credit card without my permission for that appt . and basically gloated about doing it . But not before a new staff member over hearing what was going on said to me under her breath she was new to the office and was "very concerned about there over charging and did not think she would last at this office for too long ! Linder Psychiatric group has the worst billing department ever. I left because the staff never processed my claims to my insurance correctly. They are just now contacting me regarding a bill for a date of service that happened three years ago. The first time I have heard if it was a week ago and they want to send me to collections over it?!?!? They have shady business practices and are rude, and incompetent. It should also be noted that they charge for everything. They charged for a doctor's report for my SSDI case. Typically these cost 50 dollars at the most, they charged me 200 dollars and then refused to release me file to my lawyer for several months, holding up my case. They even charge for support groups. The next thing you know, they will start charging for a drink of water or to use the bathroom. Good grief! Adding insult to injury is the fact that my psychiatrist in this office over medicated me. I was on 12 different prescriptions for Bipolar Disorder. Now, with the help of a new, well educated, experienced and competent doctor, I am in better control with very little medication required. My advice: STAY FAR, FAR, AWAY FROM LINDER PSYCHIATRIC GROUP. They are unprofessional, incompetent, expensive, and have a poor quality of care. Doctor Anosike is very professional and I actually do like him as a psychiatrist, however this review is for the reception desk staff/the billing department. First, my initial consultation appointment, I was not told by anybody that the appointment would be over the phone, so i drove all the way to their location just to be told that it's over the phone. Second, I missed an appointment due to me being sick with what I though was covid, and i tried calling the office and also emailing them, and instead of getting back to me I see a charge of $220 to my card. I tried addressing with with the receptionist and dr Anosike, and my issue has not been addressed. I can understand being charged a fee of some sort but $220??? It was an appointment to go over my diagnoses, and was a 5 minute appointment. Being charged that much for a 5 minute appointment that usually only has a $20 copay is ridiculous. Especially during the virus situation, i am a 20 year old college student living in my own apartment, so $220 is not a small amount for me. It has been hard to stay afloat as it is and this business does not help or have any sympathy. read more

Stay away - go elsewhere - not a professional organization!!!! My son started at Linder and we made full payment for many visits - then Linder billed our insurance - they are an in network provider for my insurance plan. Insurance paid Linder, I already paid Linder and can not get a reimbursment of my fees. I have called my insurance company 15 times to work with Linder and they hit road block after road block - they were at a lose as to what to do next because they have paid them in full. So, I wrote a letter to Linder and after Mary the office manager read it she called me and told me she would go over the account and get back to me by the end of the day. Did not get a return call from Mary that day. I have been asking for my refund for 5 months - they have given me dates for the refund and an amount which is close to 1200 dollars and I still do not have a refund. The office staff is rude - have lied to me and my insurance company and when my insurance company asked the office staff for accountability of what they had told them the office worker hung up on her. Please read Mary's responses - they never address the issue, she always blames someone else, The counselors may care about the patients but the office staff clearly does not and are very abrasive and rude. If Mary was so concerned because she is the Regional Office Manager - she would have called back and said she was working on my case but did not have a response for me. That's good customer service - Mary needs help with training her rude employees and she could use a few lessons herself. read more

I've been seeing him for 2 years and I highly recommend his care he knows exactly what he is doing as a psychiatrist and he stays on top of everything in regard to your care. The office is also very efficient I haven't had any issues in the 2 years of my experience there. Dr. David Linder "so-called" treated my child. After only two appointments, he diagnosed my child as bipolar without considering his life factors and without even consulting my child's therapist, who was in the same practice. He is so close-minded and is way too quick to solve the misdiagnosis with medication (can you say "kick back"). Add to it that his admin staff is very rude and incompetent. I was consistently getting billed for appointments that didn't occur. In addition, scheduling appointments was a nightmare. We would show up for appointments and were told that we didn't have an appointment. How frustrating when you have to take off work and take your child out of school for no reason because of someone else's multiple errors. I highly recommend you avoid this circus, I mean, practice. read more

My son was under his treatment for 5 yrs. He was supposed to be an expert on children but it could not be any further from the truth. He is not personable and was stuck on my child having a mood disorder that had not come out, yet. He was wrong. He had us on a roller coaster of meds for 5 yrs. and he completely missed that my son had the classic signs of Tourette Syndrome. Linder kept telling us that it was only the meds giving my son tics, so two pages of meds later, my son was correctly diagnosed with TS by a Child Neurologist. We trusted that a Dr. that charged as much as he did would be able to identify classic symptoms, especially a child with TS. Tourettes is disorders (OCD and ADHD being the prevalent disorders w/ TS) and Tics in combination. My son missed valuable therapies for another obvious diagnosis of Auditory and Sensory Processing Dysfunction. My son has mild disorders but all the classic signs were present the entire time. We wasted so many years and feared tics when it was the plethora of med combos that were making my son's tics worse. We feared tics instead of embracing them. Years of not being able to get my son the support system in school or privately was a hardship on our family. Once my son was on the right track under his Neurologist's care my son's tics were mild. I had a huge relief to finally have an answer and diagnosis that fit. Years of expensive fees and a road to nowhere. I have nothing but disgust for Dr. Linder and beware that he has a reputation for leaning heavy on everyone having bipolar or mood disorders. I cringe when Linder comes to mind every time I share my story of our years wasted with Linder to parents, friends and professionals.. How an "expert" can miss obvious signs of a medical condition, especially with a child is negligent . They are not insurance friendly and my son's father paid absorbent fees out of pocket for 5 yrs. because they made it impossible to use Blue Shield. They didn't tell us when our appts. needed to be rescheduled until we arrived at the office multiple times. What a waste is an understatement! I would give a negative star rating if I could on here!!! read more

I have Cigna insurance and was told I could see Gloria Coy who was able to do PCIT therapy for my son. When I showed up to the appt there was a confusion since there was a lack of rooms. Finally after a discussion between a few therapist arguing over who was to get the room we went in. She spent 40 minutes gathering background info and towards the end i asked how PCIT therapy worked and she said "What?" She didn't know what it was. I was TICKED off I had wasted my time because Cigna has old info saying that she was trained in PCIT which she never was. I expressed my frrustration to Cigna and to Linder Group, but I was charged anyway for $95.85 the contracted rate for the service! I started receiving bills fort he differnence of $3 and called the office and they told me that they are in network for Cigna but I still owed them the money. I called Cigna and they said I don't. They called the office and supposedly escalated the matter. It is now 7 months later and I am still receiving bills from them after calling Cigna and their office many times. They refuse to do a conference call with Cigna they insist I owe them the money and keep sending bills and say that I will owe 15% interest and a $10 penalty fee. DO NOT GO HERE FOR ANY REASON! We have been involved with Linder Psychiatric over the past 4 years and have had a terrible time with their billing department. They held on to my money after being reimbursed from my insurance for one year. They were constantly making billing mistakes and did not follow up which made it very difficult to get payment since it had been more than 90 days. We are grateful to Dr. Linder and his staff during the scary and difficult time of trying to get a correct diagnosis for our young adult son. We had been to several psychiatrists, psychologists, counselors, and medical doctors to understand what our son was going through, and it wasn't until we found Dr. Linder that the true process of healing began. Getting a diagnosis and working with a psychiatrist is a process. Getting the medications right, we were told up front, can take a year, but if we were patient and persistent we would get there. We have found this to be true. Yes, it is costly but worth it - our son is worth it. Good psychiatrists are very hard to come by in this area and we are grateful he is in our town. The policies of his office are pretty straightforward and you have to invest in knowing them to make this process work for you. We have made mistakes and had to pay up, but they were our mistakes, not theirs. We signed the paperwork; we chose to make Dr. Linder our doctor. It frustrates me to see all the very negative reviews based mainly on money and insurance issues. Dr. Linder's expertise and experience is worth way more than those type of complaints. Having a doctor we trust and the good results we are seeing in our son is worth the investment. Thank you Dr. Linder! The doctor himself is very good. He is the only reason we kept going back. His staff, however, are some of the worst we have ever seen. We just received a bill from 2 years ago, and there is an excessive charge for any needed paperwork. We needed a letter for my son, and it cost us over $200, and it wasn't even what we had asked for. We saw him at the Folsom and Roseville offices and his staff is globally incompetent, especially when it comes to billing. They never billed our insurance correctly, and finally stopped taking insurance altogether and we had to pay up front over $200 a visit. Seriously? It seems they are out to make money and not help people. If we had been able to find another MD who my son had bonded with, we would have changed in a heartbeat. My daughter also saw a counselor here, and she totally railroaded her. The counselor seemed to think my daughter was a great child with no issues, and my kid saw right through her and the counselor bought it! Really? So glad we moved out of the area and are finding someone else. That being said, when my son needed more aggressive medication management and higher doses, the doctor was able to help. read more

I am confident in Dr. David Linder's diagnosis of me. I am in my 50's. I first came to see him in October of 2012. I was in crisis at this point in my life and considering death as opposed to life. Previously I had been diagnosed with ADHD (2002) by a therapist (unrelated to Linder Psychiatric Group) who worked with my physician to prescribe "proper" medications. In approx 2007 I lost my job. (First time I had ever been fired). I was diagnosed with moderate to severe depression by a psychiatrist (unrelated to Linder Psychiatric Group).. I was put on different medications. The next 5 years were so up and down. Mostly down. Once again I sought help. I found Dr. Linder. Dr. Linder would not even diagnose me until I had seen him for at least 4 one hour appointments. Some people might think that he was just trying to get money out of me but I think he was truly trying to get to the root of the problem. Dr. Linder finally got the diagnosis correct. The reason I know this is because I am off of all of my previous medications and now take only the one psych med. That one medication has been my biggest help so far. My life is back on track for the first time ever. As for the appointment issues I have had no problems. As for billing issues I pay cash and get a receipt EVERY time. I have no insurance. As for the office staff, they have been professional each time. Sometimes there is someone working who is obviously new and in training mode, but otherwise no complaints. read more
