I have had the great pleasure of meeting Joy but also working with her over the course of 12 weeks…read more Now before I actually get into this review, I want to throw out a few disclaimers...Joy does NOT have a magic wand that will magically make your issues go away. Joy does NOT have the ability to do your work for you and lastly Joy does NOT by any means sell herself short on the services that she provides. Joy, you are an absolute god send. Seriously.... I have been thru various counseling all of my life but that didn't resolve my issues nor did it really give me the tools needed to actually resolve them. So since I had tried that previously and pretty much got the same result, I knew I had to try something different. So, what did I do? I went to my trusty yelp and reached out and received several responses. I had a few phone interviews because I needed to find the right person to help me thru some heavy stuff. I liked Joy right off the bat. You can simply tell by the tone in her voice that she is an angel. I signed up for 6 sessions with Joy...and after my 6th session, I signed up for 6 more. And I threw Joy some crazy challenges (nothing in my life has EVER been easy)....there were issues that she flat out told me she couldn't do anything about (I appreciate the honestly more than you know) and there were some issues where I really feel like I challenged her but guess what? SHE NEVER GAVE UP ON ME. SHE NEVER TOLD ME SHE COULDN'T WITHOUT AN EXPLANATION (again she doesn't have a magic wand). Instead what I received was far far greater than any gift...Joy gave me the tools I needed to see where my deficiencies came from and also gave me some positive insight as to how to fix the behaviors and this is something I now work on EVERY SINGLE DAY and it's made me a better person. So if you feel like you are stuck, and don't know where to go, and you have tried traditional methods (and they haven't really worked) I would seriously urge you to give Joy a call...set up and appointment and more importantly work on your (O&*%(Q*&)%(. Then one day I set up what I thought would be my final appointment when along comes Jonathan. I took one look at his blond/ red hair and another longer look at his last name. 'Corrigan,' one of the oldest Irish names in History. I thought this name to be so old and familiar that I was sure it had a place in the Book Of Kells. I relaxed a little but not till I asked him the much needed question. "Jonathan how long will you be here for?" I was just about to tell him about my favorite people leaving when he said. My daughter needed help for anxiety and depression while finishing her degree in Southern…read moreCalifornia (500 mi from home). I reached out to Dr Soliman and they scheduled a psychiatrist evaluation within a week of calling. However, the business process they use failed her. Trying to get into a therapist took 5 weeks! She had an initial intake appointment with a therapist and was told they would call her back within a few weeks. After 4 weeks, no call. She called back. She was scheduled for ANOTHER INTAKE appointment. She cancelled that appointment, received a confirmation of cancellation and kept getting appointment reminders. She even got a phone call the day of from a therapist who was going to do another intake. We also got a bill for the cancelled appointment. I wish I had done more homework on them, but I was desperate to help my daughter. Dr Soliman's (owner) license was suspended in 2020. There is a lawsuit for wages owed. He uses a foreign call center where you can hear reps talking to other clients (violating HIPPA laws) and confirmations are texted at 3am violating FCC laws saying business over phones has to occur between 8am-8pm. If I could give them ZERO STARS, I would.

I had such a wonderful experience I decided to start seeing a therapist there for brainspotting for myself. As a therapist, it is hard for me to find someone I really like and feel comfortable with, but I have found that with Veronica Kennedy! I have seen her three times now and she is wonderful! I highly recommend Brainspotting, it really does work, and I am so thankful for this center and the healing it has brought into my life!

Her agenda was clear at the beginning of the session when I told her to focus on the rape and she insisted I deal with long past childhood trauma. I said no. She didn't listen. I was left with feelings of despair and anguish for at least a week. In July 2019 I was strangled and raped. In another instance, Veronica had the audacity to ask me if the strangulation was a "thought" or a "memory." In hindsight I should have told her it was a FACT. Why was she questioning me about my credibility anyway? I'm just saying, as a trauma victim you are very vulnerable and your boundaries should never be ignored due to the therapist's own adgenda. Unacceptable. Beware.
