Having been the victim of a botched surgical procedure in my youth, I'm really thorough about checking into who my surgeon is going to be and the facility in which the surgery is going to take place. After checking out everything I made an appointment with Dr.Ross Wodicka and couldn't have been more delighted. He's not only a great doctor but real good down to earth guy who carefully explains all your options and matters involving the procedure. Matter of fact, because of my age being 74, he wasn't cut happy and really wanted me to know what I was going to be put through in order to recover and whether I thought it would be worth it. Well, because I was unable to lift my martini glass to my lips (that's practically the definition of very serious), of course it was worth it. I might also add that Dr. Wodicka is a sports doctor specialist with a fellowship in a well-recognized sports orthopedic institute. So if one can trust the multimillion dollar shoulders and knees of professional athletes to him, I think I can trust mine to him too. Anyway my surgery went just fine. Matter of fact incredibly fine. I don't even have a surgical scar, never needed any pain meds and now near 8 months later 90% recovered and doing exceptionally well.

And I already know that if this is how he's going to treat me, I am not going to get along with him because he is way too pompous for me to tolerate. I'll find a pain specialist who is in my network and willing to work with me. I can't recommend anyone go to this guy because he doesn't care about his patients; only about himself.

So no wonder the front of house staff treats people coming in the door terribly when that's how they are treated internally. We wasted time filling out all documents and sitting for an hour before being told being seen here would be a liability because he had already had a surgery on his clavicle. All we wanted was to review his pain management and wound care. Not to mention the place is FILTHY from the outside. You are a dollar sign to these people. And I'm not even sure they have qualified enough staff. Overall nightmare.

I told him I have continued in pain and swelling and stiffness after walking , bent sitting and standing only 10-15 minutes 4- 5 months ago and now after 9 and 1/2 months of surgery it still doesn't improve. I continue my PT exercises every day. He said it was just scar tissue. Other knee doctors suspected about the implant misalignment . I decided to get CT Scan as the other knee doctors suggested. I will not go to the knee revision surgery again until we know for sure what is going on from CT Scan. I was told that the specialist knee revision surgeons can see if the implant is misalignment or twisted or not. I hope it will be only scar tissue issue as Doctor Chan believe. I will update my finding later .

This is a walk-in orthopedic office which was perfect for me since I didn't want to wait till next week to find out what was wrong with my foot. This office is across from Broward General Hospital. I was seen by Dr. Jeffrey Alent who was very nice. Before being seen by the doctor X-rays were given and then the consult started. I was shown what the problem was and a plan of action. I am glad I did not break any bones in my foot. The recommendations were to take it easy, a no-impact exercise for a while, more stretching, and more supportive shoes as well as Voltaren cream for arthritis on my ankle from a broken ankle in the past. I did pass on the physical therapy since I rather work on the foot myself. Exercises were given to improve the range of movement. Hopefully, I will recover soon.
