This is a belated review. I saw David for 2 years following a car accident back in 2012. He was very skilled and helpful in treating my back pain. I was surprised to read that two women wrote that they didn't feel safe around him. He is very dedicated to his craft and is passionate about wellness and alternative healing. This might come off as intense and he can be blunt but he's not a stalker. He never tried to upsell me products either. I feel torn but compelled to write this review for women who visit this office by themselves. I want to start by saying that David was kind and straightforward-- this is not a reflection on him directly. But I simply could not relax in his office knowing that I was there myself in the evening in what seemed like a completely empty office building. I felt so vulnerable since David was a complete stranger and since acupuncture requires you to lie alone in the dark, fairly incapacitated. In my past experiences with acupuncture, there has always been a receptionist or at a minimum, other people in the waiting area or nearby, etc. I felt so worried for my safety as a young woman there alone-- I simply couldn't relax on the table. There was one other person there when I left, but when I was on the table, I was under the impression I was the only person there. This is not necessarily David's fault. His manner was appropriate and fine. But I think it's something he should be made aware of. There was nothing reassuring about the office setting and no measures in place to make female patients feel safe and comfortable. All I had to work off of was positive reviews and trust that others would not lead me astray. read more

I have never been so mistreated by someone claiming to be a healer and care-giver. I will stay far away from this person. His hands were dirty, the treatment table was covered with dirt. He looked at my tongue for 30 seconds and felt a pulse for a moment, asked one or two questions, then proceeded to tell me I was a person who did not care about my own health, took no responsibility and how I "abdicated to western medicine." I was deeply insulted, it was unfair and radically uninformed (I have made great improvements to my health), causing more trauma, not less. I cannot see how he can sleep at night, given how he treats people (a cancer patient in my case) who come to him for care. I have had great results in the past using acupuncture integrated with my treatment plan, but have moved so wanted a new provider. This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. I was very lucky and David treated me when he was subbing at my local acupuncture clinic. I also experienced the same feeling of calm that other patients have described after being helped by him. He was extremely specific with his approach after listening to my symptoms that were not pleasant (severe gastrointestinal problems/likely infection). I was very lucky to find David in my search for an acupuncturist/healer. I can't say enough about how amazing it is to know that I am under his care. He is patient and willing to listen to you/and your body at every session- to find the best plan of action for your ailments. If your ailment is not his speciality (however he specializes in a lot), he will go out of his way to research how to help heal you. I also like that he is always open to how you feel about a treatment, and will never force you to take any herbs, etc. that you are not interested in/don't want to take. I've gone to acupuncturists in the past that want to force herbs on you- and he will never do that which I appreciate. Bottom line- every session I leave feeling refreshed, balanced, and most importantly that I am on a path of recovery for whatever I am seeing him for (results aren't going to happen overnight, but most of the time you will feel some relief after one session). Where do I even begin... I suffer from really bad anxiety, I actually met David 2 years ago when I was pregnant, my doctor had suggested me trying acupuncture for some pain that I had been having but also for my anxiety. I had tried it all, from medication, ENT, hypnosis, natural herbs but nothing worked to help my anxiety that's until I met David.
