it's been six months since i had my wisdom teeth removed here by dr. jelmini, and I can confidently…read moresay that my experience was wonderful. the healing was smooth with no complications, and I was back to eating pre-surgery within weeks. if you're reading this, you may also be like me and have the largest amount of anxiety thinking about needing surgery. honestly, my dentist when I was in my teens casually mentioned you probably want to get your wisdom teeth removed at some point, but one came in fully and they never were a bother so it was one of those things you can file away and forget about. until you can't. in my late 20s now, I suddenly had gum pain near one of my wisdom teeth. dentist took one look and explained the tooth was rubbing against the gum trying to grow in and will keep this irritation cycle going -- the solution long term is removal. yikes! I spent a lot of time scouring the inter webs trying to find a trustable oral surgeon and my search led me to Three Rivers. I had originally planned on getting a second opinion, but honestly, there was no need. the first appointment was a consult. I had a pano X-ray taken and then dr. jelmini went over the X-ray, agreeing that I should remove them. he patiently answered my antsy questions, reassuring me with honesty about what to expect. we talked about anesthesia options, and me being the antsy person I am, decided upon IV sedation. I was curious about PRF because I'm quite the science nerd and had been reading about this optional add-on, and dr. jelmini was more than happy to honor my request. a few days before the big day, prescriptions for helping with pain and nausea were sent over to the pharmacy. the big day came and I was SO nervous! the thought of going under! the whole process was so smooth. I checked in, took care of payment and then waited a couple minutes before being called back. Lindsay was so patient noticing my stress. honestly, everyone here was so calm and professional and it really helped calm my nerves. before I knew it, the IV was in, dr. jelmini asked how I was doing, and--- I was out! seriously, when you hear people say propofol is like a nap, they aren't kidding. I honestly have no recollection of the moment I was given propofol and it felt like a minute later and I was waking up. very groggy. the whole procedure must have been what 45 minutes tops? plan on getting lots of rest. I was so pleasantly surprised to see dr. jelmini call later in the day to make sure I was doing okay. make sure you follow the post-op advice for a smooth recovery! every day got better exponentially, and within a few days I was feeling more like myself. it just takes a bit of time to get used to the modified diet for a few weeks. I'm so glad I'm on the other side of wisdom teeth surgery, but if I could, I'd tell my younger self that it'll be okay and you're in good hands with the professional and kind staff at Three Rivers. Dr. Jelmini had excellent bedside manners, understands the anxiousness and knows what he's doing. I really appreciate how all the doctors here are up to date on the latest science, presenting regularly at conferences. Thank you, Three Rivers! I sincerely hope I never need oral surgery ever again, but thank you for advancing the field with kindness!

The office and medical staff were professional and welcoming, and Dr. Jelmini was excellent--I would definitely recommend him. He explained everything clearly and made the procedure quick and smooth. I was seen for an assessment on Monday and they were able to schedule the surgery first thing the next morning, which was extraordinary. Recovery has been smooth so far, and I'm really glad I took care of it when I did. Thank you to the Three Rivers team!

We were referred here by our normal dentist so my wife could have her wisdom teeth removed. It was…read moreon a Friday, and Tualatin Modern Dentistry was the only oral surgery office that was open on Saturdays in our network. They were so nice and accommodating at the last minute appointment. The day of the surgery was smooth and quick. The person who helped us at the front, Karen, was extremely detailed in breaking down the price and payment options. Nothing sucks more than an unexpected bill but they make sure you understand what you're paying for which is really helpful. They provided instructions and a "to go" pack of everything needed for the healing. About a week later, my wife was still having some pain on one side so we called to just make sure she didn't have dry socket or any complications. The sweet dentist who answered (unfortunately do not remember her name!) was so helpful and offered for us to come in and have her take a look. We dropped in and she added some dry socket paste and my wife was instantly pain free. Super helpful, friendly and efficient. I would definitely recommend them. Extra points for having weekend availability!

I have been going to Tualatin Modern Dentistry for over 2 years and while the initial experience…read morewas good, the recent visits and treatments have been far from satisfactory. I underwent dental implant treatment here, and the process was plagued by repeated scheduling issues, poor coordination, and what felt like a lack of preparation. My stage 2 procedure was rescheduled multiple times because the office did not have the correct parts and equipment ready. During one appointment, I was numbed by the surgeon only for the procedure to be halted because the necessary abutments were not available to him, despite the office having previously evaluated my case and having the correct parts in stock. The problems continued during the crown phase of treatment. Appointments were repeatedly rescheduled due to issues with the crown fabrication and other office-related delays. When the crown was finally placed, the procedure felt rushed and was significantly more painful than I expected. The crown fit was also not correct, requiring yet another appointment for adjustments. I was also disappointed that a cleaning was performed by an assistant rather than a hygienist without prior notice. The cleaning felt incomplete, and routine periodontal measurements that had been performed at previous visits were not done. The cumulative effect of these issues was a substantial amount of lost time, missed work, inconvenience, and frustration over many months. After documenting my concerns and requesting a partial refund due to the repeated office errors and treatment delays, my request was denied by the office manager. I understand that complications can happen in any healthcare setting. What matters is how those issues are handled. Unfortunately, my experience was that repeated mistakes occurred without meaningful accountability or resolution. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this office and will be transferring to a new dentist office.

Dr. Peter Dennis crafted, with technical and personal skills over time, a complete healing to my…read moredentition. He and his team made each step of the healing process clearly understood and implemented flawlessly. He is a gifted surgeon and physician. My previous team of specialists within a previous healthcare system had written me off with "atypical pain." The broken tooth below the gumline became infected, the attempted root canal failed, the extraction of the tooth was barbaric at best (some of my jawbone was removed with it), then residual matter was left to "heal itself", unsuccessfully. The head of the department in oral surgery would not touch it. Dr. Dennis methodically and skillfully attended this complicated area. First, an accompanying tooth adjacent to the infected tooth area (#30) became infected and was extracted. Then he debrided the initial abandoned tooth space, grafted, then implanted a post for successful placement of a crown. Most importantly, the relentless deep pain from the tooth area resolved, I am pain free and now have a successful crown to use that side of my mouth again! Words cannot capture the feeling to relief and comfort after months of living with deep pain. Dr. Dennis has truly given me my life back.
