Had a tooth extracted this am. Sat in the chair for over an hour. They couldn't find any suture in the entire office and didn't end up putting one in my mouth after having pulled my tooth. Gave me zero pain medication and told me to take ibuprofen even after I told them I can't because of being on low dose chemotherapy treatment for lupus. Horribly unprofessional. I booked an appointment for 1:45 that afternoon at the South East office on Stark. I was greeted respectfully and on time. I filled out a few forms and was in treatment room before I knew it. Xrays were taken and reviewed by the Doctor very quickly. Dr Ty explained the treatment plan and his assistant outlined the cost. It was much less expensive than I thought. I was numbed up and the tooth was out about 15 minutes later. Dr Ty and his staff were awesome. No judgements no lectures. Very compassionate. I was so grateful they were there and able to see me. I have never been to a doctor on an emergency basis and I was absolutely desperate when I walked in here. They are open until 9 o'clock seven days a week, which was ideal on a holiday weekend! I was treated by Dr. Savage, he was very calm and even though he was not able to find a source of my pain at the time he did have several solutions that we could try to narrow it down. He did adjust my occlusion to avoid pressure on my teeth and prescribed some pain medication until I could get to my regular dentist. I personally am not in the market for a new dentist but if you're just starting out with dental care I do know this office does accept almost any insurance and has a good central location. read more

We had the worst morning with trying to find a dental office that was open early on a Friday. This office not only accepted us right away but they understood and sympathized with the situation we were in. I was frantic to get my husband help, he had a very infected tooth and was in so much pain. Thank god for this office! FYI the two Vancouver locations are only open Saturdays and they only have one doctor. The info online is not updated. The mall 205 location is clean and very welcoming. The front desk lady was very friendly and talked me through everything. The tooth extraction went really good and really fast. They even showed me the tooth and it was definitely infected. He was prescribed antibiotics and some heavy duty painkillers but highly recommended to see our regular dentist if there is further issues. They open at 8am, call them and leave a message and they will call you back in less than 15-20 minutes. They are very affordable also, I was stressing out because I thought emergency services would cost more. They accept almost all insurances. The team here has been a god send of service! Initially my first visit was an emergent situation due to an abscess that needed immediate antibiotic treatment as well as intervention to help get rid of the brewing infection due to a mouth injury from a trauma event playing with my son one afternoon. After the care I received I have fully embraced the quality of care and attention from the staff! Dr. Pham, Dr. Schwam and Dr. Strong have helped me and my family become our family dentist! Don't recommend this place for its staff being very unprofessional. I was waiting for around 30 minutes for the doctor after I was seated and had x-rays for my tooth. She didn't use the vest either when taking the x-ray on me. (Doctor who was on the phone since I had arrived) I was never checked on either to see if I was okay nor to give an update on when the doctor was coming. Staff was unprofessional, it's a shame because I get having fun in the office at work but when you're loud and cussing while having a patient in the next room ,is just a no. I went in early when they first opened in the morning and the office is dirty. Cracked paint, dirty bathroom, weird rubber melting smell. The assistant didn't put the lead vest on when they did X-rays and also had to call in back up help for the X-ray. Didn't seem like she knew what she was doing. Website says they work with u for payments which is a lie. They wanted 450$ up front to pull 1 tooth. After a night in agony and finding out that my regular dentist is closed this whole week, I looked up Emergency Tooth Doctor. I walked in and was in a dentist's chair within 20 minutes. Dr. Costello was excellent. She explained everything clearly and referred me to the next step: an endodontist for my abscessed tooth. Yuck. I could not have been happier with the quick help I received at an awkward time. It was affordable as well. I had never been to an emergency dentist and figured everything would cost twice as much but I was wrong. X-rays were reasonable. I believe the same price as my regular dentist. I just got home from having 2 teeth extracted. I really appreciated the thorough explanation of my options. I am anxious about dentists. My body breaks down novocaine quickly. So I have had to pay extra for sleep dentistry. They don't use novocaine at Emergency Tooth. So, I saved money right there. Do not recommend. I was seen on an emergency basis. Asked for antibiotics and dr would not give them to me. Entire side of face was swollen the next day; into my eye. Tried to call on Saturday and ALL of the locations closed early due to being slow. I was then lucky enough to spend the next two nights in the hospital due to the infection. Even needing to be transferred to Emanuel where there was an oral surgeon. They removed my verniers that had lasted me 15 years. They replaced them with cheap ones. One of them fell off less than 12 hours later. I was eating a piece of toast and it broke and fell out. 2 days later the other fell out. I've had the verniers put back in multiple times now. They also quoted me a certain amount. Then attempted to charge me $360 more a month later. If anything they should be refunding me. Don't go here. Oh. Almost forgot. I showed up for an appointment once, they weren't even open. The dentist / dental hygienist was suppose to do a deep cleaning of the bottom front teeth, which it turned out was not even considered a ruff cleaning by my primary dentist. I only went to Emergency Tooth Doctor East because my normal dentist couldn't see me for 2 weeks. Lesson learned, wait for ones normal dentist instead of coming here which is over priced and lacks quality service. I will not be returning. On a positive note they were able to see me within a day with minimum wait time. The dentist / hygienist was polite and nice. Had a toothache Sunday morning and went to see the Emergency Tooth Doctor on Monday. They could not see me until Tuesday, but the care and attention I received made up for the wait. The doctor was very gentle and made sure to tell me everything he was doing before just diving in. Hygienist was very sweet and helpful as well. Had to go back a week later to make sure everything was healed and got the okay that all looked great. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone who does not have a regular doctor or needs emergency treatment. Don't waste your time here. Made an appointment for a tooth extraction 4 days ahead of time was told I could receive the laughing gas, called the day before to confirm my appointment and they confirmed I wanted laughing gas. Arrived 20 minutes before my scheduled appointment only to be told they did not offer the laughing gas. I sat in the waiting room, that smelled of bean burritos which I thought was odd, for 30 more minutes without any word, got to hear every conversation the dentist was having on the other side of the wall, and once again another awful smell filled the office and this time it was Brussels sprouts. They have a microwave right in the front office directly behind the receptionist where there were also open bags of food. This place is disgusting and unsanitary do not have any work done here. read more

All around excellent experience. We just arrived from out of state on vacation when my 21 year old son had a wisdom tooth go south on him. Called in late at night on Saturday and left a message. Got a call Sunday at 7:30am from their appointment center. Gave them my insurance info and a run down of the issue. We had an appointment set up for that morning at 10:30am with this office. All aspects of the experience with this office were outstanding. If you have a dental emergency don't hesitate to reach out to them. I will start by saying that I have severe dental anxiety and have since I was a kid. I had an broken molar that got really bad this week and I had to go somewhere. Out of the ten offices that my boyfriend called in a frantic search for a dentist appointment, this ended up being the only one to call me back. The first thing that impressed me was the receptionist haggled with my insurance company on my x-rays. I had never had that happen before. I was seen immediately upon completing my paperwork and the dentist was so nice and compassionate. After the exam, they presented me with a proposed course of treatment and how much it would cost. It was about a quarter of the price of what it would've been if I had gone to my son's dentist. I cried because I felt so relieved and went for the extraction. The assistant has got to be the kindest lady. She rubbed my shoulder while they were numbing me up. And I was done within an hour. Sending me home with a special mouth wash and tons of gauze. I know that I will need more work done and now I know who I will go to along with my family. It's nice not to be afraid of the dentist for anymore... read more

Dentist visits can be anxiety inducing, emergency dentist visits are worse. When I had a tooth ache turn into a raging abscess, I was able to get a same day appointment. Dr. Pham and the entire staff were fantastic! They were helpful, empathetic to my problem, and discussed every step with me. I was in and out of there relatively fast too. I called Emergency Tooth Doctor because Gentle Dental kept giving me the run around about needing to have this appointment and that appointment before getting my tooth pulled(and they cancelled my appointment). I simply wanted the tooth out of my mouth that was causing me pain for two weeks straight. When I called Emergency Tooth Doctor they got me in the same day, did the exam, went over the options (root canal/cap vs extraction) then pulled the nuisance tooth. The administrative personal that checks people in were incredibly rude. I took my mother in to set up an appointment and all the front lady did was talk over my mother and answer questions that were not even asked, assuming she knew the questions we were going to be asking. The other younger lady on the other hand was kind enough to allow my mother to ask her questions and, in-fact, did answer them. However, the main lady who was a little bit older, continued to talk down to us. I will never step foot in this place again.
