Did I really make a one hour drive just to pick up some of their pie? Absolutely, and I will continue to do so whenever I can! Around Christmastime, a family friend brought over a box of one of Davidian's blueberry pies. None of my family members have a sweet tooth, making us a bit picky when it comes to desserts. We each had a slice after our holiday dinner and could NOT stop raving about how good it was. We immediately took a picture of the box label so that we could remember to stop by there ourselves and pick up some more. While my family and I live about an hour away from this farm, I have to make work trips to the Worcester area every now and then, which gave me the perfect excuse to swing by on my way back home. I grabbed two, a blueberry for my family and an apple one as a gift for a friend. As we were cutting up some slices, my parents and I kept making little jokes that perhaps we'd over-exaggerated to ourselves about how good the pie actually was, as it had been more than 3 months since trying it that first time. Nope! Was literally as delicious as we'd remembered, perhaps even better. The filling is absolutely amazing-- just from taste alone, you can tell that the blueberries are high-quality and sourced directly from their own fields. The entire pie was gone within one night, so I definitely should have bought more, LOL. Typical store-bought pies (you know which ones I mean-- the ones with the artificial, over-processed "fruit" filling) don't hold a candle to Davidian's! read more

We ordered 27 pies and they were all delicious. The coconut cream and chocolate cream were the best I ever had......I also tried the pumpkin which was amazing as well. Would love to see them do a banana cream next year. The feedback we received from those who selected the more traditional holiday pies (apple and blueberry) was great as well. read more

We were about to pass by this place the 4th time as the parking was still full down the street at Tower Hill Botanic Garden, when I decided to pull in so we could stretch our feet a bit. Davidian Brother's Farm is a farm stand with a decent sized parking lot, and an ice cream stand at one end. Just beyond there is a playground with a number of picnic tables. A short walk across a brook led to a fenced in area where they keep a yak, a llama, and a number of little goats temping us to pay 50 cents to feed them with their cuteness. Trying to bust into their game is a flock of free range geese also hoping to be fed. The farm stand sells flowers, fresh produce, fresh mozzarella, their own canned pickled eggs and pears ($11.99!) and peaches, as well as jams, as well as others' product. A deli is located past the check out stations, and some bakery goods were set by their local honey. Cider donuts were $1 apiece. The second floor is available for eating in. Ice cream prices are reasonable (ie. $2.95 small/$3.95 medium/$4.95 large), but the farm stand was deemed expensive by my mom. read more

First, great little farmers market right off the highway. Easy deli, snacks, and drinks. There's also plenty of space to walk around and even see some goats. Most impressively is how nice everyone is and how they make the space accommodating right off the highway. Large dining area, inside and out, and the cleanest changing table I've ever seen. Went here looking for Apple Cider Donuts. It appears as though they are made here at the store but I like to go and actually see them being made. You could buy singles for $0.80 or a half dozen for $3.99 so I got a box. The label said Cinnamon Sugar Cider Donuts which threw me since many of the other places I get them refer to them as Apple Cider. They were good and scratched my itch but there is nothing like getting a fresh on that is hot and steamy. The store itself was neat clean and had nice displays. I thought the prices were much too high. Corn for almost 8 bucks that doesn't seem like farm stand prices to me. They had a wonderful array of mums but again the prices were too steep for me. This place is actually amazing! Went here a few weeks back after a visit to Tower Hill Botanical Garden. We had some fantastic sandwiches, sat outside and went back in to buy some veggies, baked goods and lots of other fun stuff. I would really like to give this place 5 stars as the staff was even incredibly helpful and nice. However, I spent 30.00 on Veggies..went straight home and the next day all of them (But..two) were rotten. What a disappointment. I'll go back for the sandwiches, baked goods and other fun items.. Prior to starting cross-country trip, I stopped at Davidians to get several days worth of fruit. I arrived a little after 7. Both my New England family' and west coast family keep lights at a minimum when it's hot so, I was uncertain if they were open because a few lights were on, the doors were open and there was a gentleman watering the outside plants. When asked if they were open, the gentleman waved his hand ushering me to the door so, I went in. I started my selections when a woman showed up. We exchanged courteous, greetings, and, during the course of the conversation, she let me know. They actually didn't open until eight but told me to go ahead and let me know when I was ready. Another woman showed up and was more abrupt speaking to her coworker In undertones meant loud enough for me to hear regarding the lights, should've been a clue that they were closed and ending with "...just saying." My New England relatives have been here since 1640. I spent my summers with my New England grandparents and was schooled in good manners. I would have gladly left had the closed status of the store been stated at the start or had I been asked. This behavior is not only rude , it is also cowardly. Additionally, I know of no faith in which condones such rudeness. Previously, I have been a customer each and every year on my annual month-long visit with my relatives. This year, I discovered other farms in the area and to which I will return in the future. I am certain the people at Davidians could care less that they have lost me as a customer. read more

This was always my favorite farm, deli, ice cream and bakery shop but today I walked in to the newly renovated store, expecting to smell apple cider donuts , breads and pies cooking ..... But I All I could smell was scented soap products!! What are you thinking? That's not a Farm Stand aroma, that's Bed Bath and Beyond or Yankee Candle Store. I felt like I was in Whole Foods Store which does the same ridiculous thing. Put the soap outside or in a bathroom of its own. In season i go to Davidian's at least once a week, but until someone realizes what a bad idea this was , I will be looking for a new go to Farm Stand . Maybe Houldens or stick with the local farmers markets. Bad move.... read more

The cashier was very friendly! Found a lemon peppercorn dressing and apple jam for pb&j sandwiches. Decent priced market, filled with pumpkins currently, and overall not the biggest market but friendly. read more

Buyer beware. Their website infers the produce is locally grown, when, in fact, only SOME of the produce is locally grown and the things that are aren't labeled as such, and few of the staff know which is which. That said, this is a cute place with a wide variety of plants and products. We didn't buy anything here, as we were on a mission to buy local, but I'd stop back in if I were in the area. As a plus, it's just of I-290 so it's pretty easy to get to. Also, they have an ice cream stand, if that's your think. Personally, I like to head to the places with the cows and the milk for my ice cream. read more

They have a great set up during social distancing. Check their Facebook page for real time updates on crowds before you go. As you enter there is hand sanitizer and sterile gloves for all customers to wear while shopping - a really responsible set up. They have toilet paper, vegetables, salad, milk, deli and ready prepared meals. I'd definitely encourage you to shop here during the current social distancing advice. Stopped in for ice cream on a hot Saturday afternoon, surprised to discover there was no line Beautiful outdoor sitting area, picnic tables under the trees, small running brook As far as the ice cream Limited number of flavors, portions small compared to competitors. Placed our order, took 10 minutes to deliver the first cone, and another 10 minutes to deliver the second. Standing in the hot sun for 20 minutes, when there is no line, definitely not worth it. I grew up walking down the street to Davidian's in the summer for delicious, creamy ice cream and eating it (see: dropping most of it) on the picnic benches by the little stream in the back. In the fall, I spent time at Davidian's picking out adorably tiny pumpkins to decorate my parents' house with and eating delicious cider donuts. In the spring, I would come with my mom to pick out seeds and little plants to start growing in our backyard vegetable garden. I will always love Davidian's for those above reasons. However, as a cynical "adult," I can tell you that it is pricey, produce is local-ish...some of it comes from the DBros farm up the street and some of it comes from elsewhere? The cider donuts have to be reheated at home if to be properly enjoyed since they have been boxed for at least a few hours. The cheese counter is pretty lame, for lack of a better word; they could do so much more with it. The ice cream is still creamy and yummy albeit lacking in originality (Trombetta's in Marlboro has better ice cream FYI). read more

Good farm stand/market/deli with a nice picnicking area in the back. Davidian is surprisingly large for a farm stand and is approaching the point where you might as well call it a grocery store. I think they sell some of their own produce in-season, but its mostly the same items year round and this being Massachusetts, a lot of it has to be imported for much of the year. The deli counter has the usual assortment of sandwiches (turkey bacon, rueben, Italian, etc) and I wouldn't say that Davidian's take is better than any of the other area delis, BUT, you do get a free individual size bag of Wachusett chips with your sub. They also make tasty cider donuts. The picnic area in the back is clearly aimed at kids, with all the farm animals and the jungle gym, but its still a nice place to enjoy a lunch break. read more

So. I live within walking distance but avoid hem at all costs. 1) Prices are way too high 2) For the high prices quality is low/ poor 3) I really like McCoun apples. Yes. They are expensive at DaVidian. BUT half of them are MacIntosh!!!! What a ripoff! As for Ice Cream. We have stopped walking 5 houses down to get DaVidian/ Bliss Ice Cream. We will wait and go to Rota Farms for the best Ice Cream. DaVidian has a great location. And could have a great business. I am not sure if they are cheap, stupid, or have no sense of value. Great local spot for produce, eggs and milk. They sell other grocery basics too. Great donuts and baked goods! Deli has a good selection too. Ice cream is delicious and the staff is friendly and helpful. The animals are fun to go and play with and the swings are an added bonus for the kids. As the other reviewers point out, they don't carry much of their own or local produce here. I remember asking where the lettuce was from, and was surprised to hear 'California'. What? With no supermarket in Northboro, this is a decent place to pick up some basics without driving far. They have some nice general selections, a good deli section, and nice ice cream (although a bit pricey). I will say the cider donuts they have are great. read more

OVERPRICED for less than average produce. Most items they do not even grow themselves. Corn is much much better from Berberians farm. Ice cream is ok but the ice cream staff needs some serious customer service training. When you stand at the counter they act like they don't see you. All while, there can be 3 of them just standing doing nothing.They are consistently bad and either lack the value of a good customer or they are oblivious to it. Went here with my girlfriend, she looked so beautiful while she ate her ice cream. They had her favorite, soft serve vanilla, and she got so cute because she was so happy and excited while she ate it. I usually don't complain about prices but the deli counter was pricey for what it was (grilled cheese and small sub plus one drink was $20) they have a large sandbox for kids to play in, and a pretty old playground area next to a brook. I love their cider donuts, they remind me of ones my mother used to get when I was a kid and we would heat up in the oven on Saturday mornings. The donuts are great as is, but put them in the toaster oven for a few minutes and then enjoy with a glass of milk. They also have great pies, single servings are available if you don't want to buy a whole one. It's also convenient for picking up misc groceries/fruit in between trips to the grocery store. In the summer they have an ice cream stand. Sometimes it's hard not to stop and get a cone, they also have soft serve. There is a great little brook running through to sit by and enjoy your treat. I drive right by when I take the back way home from work, but they are just off the I290 exit so they are very convenient from the freeway also. If you have never been there do yourself a favor and stop. This is the just the store, sorry no cows to be seen, the farm is up the hill in back. read more

A women who must have been the owner or Manager was strolling in front of us, she wouldn't even acknowledge we were there and step aside to let us pass by just kept taking to another co worker. This place is great! They have some new farm animals over there and they all are loving cute and sweet they have a wooly cow,sheep,lames,and lamas! Also they have play grounds for big and and little kids they have a stream and a awesome ice cream stand with many selections they have some awesome sider donuts! This has the potential to be a really great place however the prices are way too high for what you're actually buying. A pound of sirloin tips with marinade on them is over $20. Vegetables are fairly reasonable for locally grown but could be a little less. Take your business down the street to The seasonal farm stand near the Westborough Walmart they have a much better selection at way better prices. read more
