Once you have a ring on your finger, you want to get a dress on order! I'll admit I had difficulty wedding dress shopping; I found it daunting. There are so many shops to choose from - which will have the style of dress I like, in my price range, etc?! As a perfectionist who overthinks and is indecisive, I knew the moment I walked in to David's Bridal at the Dartmouth Crossing location I was going to have a wonderful experience. Why? Because the staff genuinely LOVE what they do. They get to assist you from start to finish, ensuring you walk down the aisle feeling confident and beautiful. I want to send out a very special and heartfelt "thank you" to Store Manager Angela. She is 100% on your side and will go above and beyond for her brides. Angela, you made my wedding dress dreams come true. My Consultant was Heather, who was just voted top five in Canada. And she is so deserving of this title. My best advice for those dress shopping is TRUST your Consultant. You often hear girls say they chose a dress completely different from their initial vision. This happened to me. And it was because Heather's consultant intuition guided her to pull "the" dress. Thank you so very much, Heather. You are a gem and I am so fortunate. NO ONE on the East Coast should go bridal dress shopping before going to David's Bridal! Their prices are absolutely unbeatable, They have an incredible selection of styles and sizes. I'm from Northern NB and have made the trip twice, with a total of 3 brides. All three brides found "THE" dress. And guess what? I'm going to keep making the 5+ hour trip with each and every bride-to-be that I know... it's THAT much worth it - I swear! ERIKA is my consultant, and I hope she keeps working there, at least, until all of my ladies are married off! David's needs to hold on to this great employee - she makes everyone feel so special! If you can't get an appointment with Erika, the other ladies are little jewels also! However Erika has it in her soul! Don't be fooled when you first enter the store : these sweet and super friendly ladies are young (or young looking - I don't know, I didn't ask). However, they are incredibly knowledgeable - they know every single style of dress that's in their HUGE boutique. And they know exactly where each dress is. I can't even tell you how impressed I am - they take their work very seriously, and this is something that I appreciate very much. You get that "I matter as a customer" feeling, because they listen attentively and bring you what you asked for. I was also amazed at how quickly the brides received their dresses. Everything was in perfect condition! Erika had the dresses shipped right to the bride's door, which was super convenient because we were then able to use our own seamstress. I have nothing but praise for the Halifax David's Bridal! The entire process of buying my wedding dress from them (start to finish) has been great. My first visit was with Erika and another young girl who were both so much fun! They were high energy and excited about finding me my perfect dress. They didn't push me into buying anything, and they respected that I was on a tight budget and wanted to keep costs as low as possible. At no point did I feel like my happiness with my dress was anything but their number one priority. When I received my dress, and to my shock it didn't fit (eieee - every bride's nightmare) I called the store (thinking there would be nothing that could be done) and they hustled to get me back in and get the right dress size asap. The girls (Erika, Laura, and more) were apologetic and never questioned why the dress didn't fit, they simply ordered me a new one in a better suiting size and that was that! I was so impressed by how they handled the entire situation. My next visit was with the wonderful seamstress Oksana who is incredible at what she does. She did all of the alterations to my dress perfectly (and super early) and made me feel like a million dollars when I put it on. She was also genuinely excited to see me in it and genuinely excited that I was excited, and that kind of passion for your work goes a long way. Huge shout out to Erika for being so fantastic. She read my and my families vibes and fit right in - she was more like a super helpful and knowledgeable friend brought along than a salesperson which was refreshing. All my life, I grew up watching "American" TV with commercials for David's Bridal. As a little girl, I ran around the house singing "You'll love David's Bridal". When I got engaged my Mom and I planned on taking a trip to the states to get my dress from a David's Bridal. Earlier this summer, on a trip to Dartmouth Crossing, we saw an "Opening Soon!" sign for David's Bridal. I was ecstatic! I made my appointment and patiently waited for the day! We went this past Tuesday to the store in Dartmouth Crossing for my appointment. I cannot say enough good things about this store! First; the store has lots of selection, and I mean LOTS! There are almost as many plus size gowns as "regular size" gowns, which was a nice change from other stores I had been in. The staff prepared my "room" with a little name card with my name, and I met with my consultant where she had printed out my "favorites" from the website and asked me questions to get to know me. She then got set to work pulling gowns from my list, or that she thought I would like. I got very lucky and fell in love with the second dress I tried on. The staff were all so friendly and honest, about what they liked about each dress vs. another, without being negative about any dress. They really know their stuff! In the end, I found my dress, my mother's dress, my shoes, and accessories for $1,000! I hate to say they have "cheap dresses" as that implies something bad but they definitely have the most inexpensive bridal gowns I have seen, and the BEST staff! read more

Large store with huge selection. I bought my dress from a BC location early on in my engagement. I was second guessing my choice ever since the dress arrived. It wasn't initially what I thought I wanted but it was beautiful. I went to the Dartmouth location thinking I might want a second dress that was more suitable to dance in. Leah was the associate helping me. She really listened to my concerns and only started me with one dress so I could pinpoint the features I was looking for. From there we tried on another 5-6 dresses and we finally found the one I loved. I believe Leah really listened to my concerns and helped me find that perfect one. At first I felt conflicted, I already had a dress. What would I do with my previous one? I can't really afford another dress. As with most brides my budget was really tight. All the staff were friendly and eager to help. I told them about my concerns and they told me to bring it in to compare the old dress with the new one. The next day I tried on my old dress and it was beautiful but didn't feel comfortable. I couldn't imagine dancing all night in this dress, it didn't feel like "me". The staff really wanted to help make my day special and be sure I had the dress I loved. Since my dress was untouched with tags still on they offered me an exchange for the dress of my dreams. With current promotions I was also able to get my veil with the difference! I had an amazing experience at David's Bridal and highly recommend them! read more

We went to David's Bridal looking for the perfect Prom gowns. We made an appointment with Kelsey (Dartmouth Crossing) first trip in to find the perfect gown for Prom. She was amazing, Knowledgeable, really knew by looking at my girl her size and what would look amazing on her, was so patient and really took the time to find the one that suited my girl exactly and that was not easy as she really didn't know what she was looking for. Kelsey helped us though the whole process and ended up finding the dream gown she was looking for. In fact she was so happy with it that when she showed 2 of her friends they both wanted to go there to look for their special dress. So we made another appointment and met with Hannah and Erika assisted as Hannah was very busy with her previous appointment. Again, we were treated with the utmost respect and she didn't rush us along, instead she assisted us with finding the perfect dresses for both girls and we came out of there really feeling blessed. Our whole experience was wonderful, the girls ended up with their dream dresses for Prom and couldn't be happier. We want to thank Erika, Hannah and Kelsey for being such amazing young women and a huge support to those who are seeking that special experience when looking for their dream dress. As the Mother of the Bride, I want to say my experience with this salon has been excellent. From the day myself and my two daughters dropped in last October (2015) to dress shop for wedding this August (2016) we have been treated professionally, promptly, honestly - simply lovely! Erika was our stylist, and she is a delight! Always a smile and she 'got us' right away! We wanted low key attention in the store and that's what we got! And one afternoon and the dress was decided upon. Because we had to travel from Moncton to pick up and be fitted, the stylist and seamstress were extremely obliging in making us appointment times that worked with our travel and work schedules - much appreciated! When Oksana did her magic with fitting the dress, we were so pleased. It's like our lil bride was custom fitted for her gown. We made contact to the store and were promptly & courteously answered, and always with us feeling we were the only wedding that mattered! Our experience at the David's Bridal Salon in Dartmouth Crossing provided us with the best customer service we could have ever hoped for. The big day is now mere days away and we can't wait to have our Bride walk down the aisle with her bridesmaids, also fitted out by David's - pretty confident it's going to be stunning! Next summer I will be attending my son's wedding. Yesterday, I decided to begin to take a preliminary look around for a dress and to see what was available. My first stop was David's Bridal. Without an appointment, I was happily greeted by Nicole. She listened patiently to my requests and concerns and soon presented me with several beautiful gowns to try own. As I had not brought anyone with me, I relied on her knowledge and expertise. Nicole was not only professional and knowledgeable about what would suit my personality and needs, she also exhibited a very caring and warm personality to make me feel comfortable. How I felt and looked in the dress was of utmost importance to her. In the end, this provided a very positive and happy experience for me as I purchased a beautiful dress . A further aside, even the store manager, Angela graciously contributed by bringing forth accessories, to finish off the 'look'. I was blown away by my experience at David's Bridal! From the moment I walked in the door I felt like I was the #1 priority of my consultant. My consultant, Alicia Hatfield, was extremely professional and made me feel very comfortable, even when I was requiring her assistance in the fitting room with undergarments. Alicia was able to read my emotions and helped to calm me down when she could see that I was becoming overwhelmed with choices and opinions. Not only did Alicia bring me the gown that was exactly what I was looking for, she was also able to help me find the 'icing on the cake' with perfect accessories! During my appointment, the assistant manager, Kate Wheeler, came over to check in with me to see how my experience was going. I truly felt like my happiness was a priority to everyone who was working in the store. Kate found me the perfect veil and was genuinely excited to see me 'become a bride' as she placed it on my head! Made an appointment last night to go try on dresses. My consultant Alicia was amazing. Made us feel welcome right away and let us look around a bit while she finished up with her last appointment. She was patient while we discussed what I was looking for, and did not make us feel rushed at all. She joked around with me and my girls and was very helpful through the entire process :) I ended up with my dream dress, and couldn't be happier. This was my 3rd time dress shopping and by far my most enjoyable experience. She seemed genuinely excited when I found my dress and we all had a great time. I will be back for a veil and bridesmaids dresses :) Went back here twice during the last week. Can't say enough about how fantastic the service has been. Alicia was once again fantastic, my entire bridal party loved her, and everyone else I have encountered has been so friendly and helpful. I had a great experience at David's Bridal in Dartmouth Crossing. I went in with no idea of the style of dress I was looking for. My consultant, Debbie, evaluated my shape and style and came back with 5 dresses, 2 of which remained at my top 2 throughout my entire dress search! I ended up, after about 40 dresses in many stores, buying the very first dress Debbie had picked for me! The staff was so helpful and the seamstress came out on her lunch break to assure me that any concerns I had at certain areas of the dress could be altered. Most recently, my mother went to pick out her dress and the staff, again, were very helpful and not pushy, as is the case at some other dress stores. Prices of both her dress and my dress were better than expected. They had many sizes to try on and anything else you would need to receive the best fit and shape for your dress. I'm a plus size girl and I was super nervous about dress shopping for my wedding. Feels silly that I felt that way at all now because I had a great experience at this David's Bridal shop. My stylist was Debbie and she was like having another friend shop with me. We were talking and laughing, and I truly felt like she was being completely honest and supportive with me. She was helping other brides at the same time, but when she came back around to me she still took time to help me and I never felt like she was rushing. It did help that I already was shopping early that day at another, smaller, bridal shop so I knew what to expect. I also had a group of ladies (friend/family) so they were there for me too. I found the perfect dress here, only the third try. It was nothing like what I thought I wanted, but she seemed to just know! So my advice would be to go in with an open mind - try on everything and anything because you just never know. :) read more

I bought my wedding dress in December after graduating with my Masters and getting my first big girl job. My stylist, Alicia, was absolutely fantastic!!! She listened to exactly what I was looking for and when I didn't love it, she pulled a few different styles for me to try. I left with the opposite style I thought would suit me and felt stunning. Fast forward to today (August 22): I just picked up my dress from having it taken in. My alternations wizard, Oxsana was phenomenal. I had two fittings with her to ensure the pins were where they should be since I'd been losing weight. She was sweet, blunt, hilarious, and completely reassuring that I would look beautiful. Today I tried my dress on with all of the alterations complete: I was in awe. That woman knows what she is doing and I'm beyond thrilled with how everything turned out. I have nothing but amazing things to say about this store - I dealt specifically with Erika. I live all the way in Labrador, and I had to do everything by phone for my bridesmaids and flower girl. We ordered all the dresses by phone (6 all together) which were amazing all shipped for $15! When the dresses came in early they were shipped to me with a handwritten note. It was an exciting day and the personal touch really added another something. I called with a few other questions about a necklace and a veil, but they weren't at the store. She called around to other stores in Canada and had those items shipped to me as well! I work in customer service and I can say with certainty that this is PHENOMENAL customer service. I stopped in here two nights ago to try on wedding dresses. Despite not having an appointment, these girls managed to find time for me anyway (huge relief!). Alicia was my consultant and she was fantastic! I had very specific requirements for what I wanted the dress to look like and Alicia did not stop until she found the right one. I don't know how many times she ran back and forth between the dress racks and the changing room, bringing me gown after gown after gown, helping me zip and tie them up and then take them all off again. She kept a smile on her face and was so sweet the entire time (we were there for two hours!). She even helped me complete the picture with the perfect veil and jewelry. After my unpleasant experience at a different local bridal shop earlier that day, my time at David's Bridal more than made up for it :) I can't wait to go back for accessories! read more

I recently had my first David's Bridal experience when we were shopping for a wedding dress for my sister. Our consultant, Hannah, was amazing!! Personable, knowledgeable, a great judge of size and style and seemed to know the dresses in the store by heart. She pulled some amazing dresses for my sister and listened to her - and to us - and was able to make recommendations and without hesitation would pull a new dress for her to try, based on our feedback. The most surprising thing about Hannah - she's only 18! David's Bridal will do well by keeping this wonderfully knowledgeable sales associate on staff for as long as possible! My sister did find a dress... and I know that in the future, if I or someone I know is dress hunting, I will be recommending they book at David's Bridal and that they book with Hannah. This was my second place to look at bridal gowns for the big day, and I was blown away by the welcoming atmosphere and open concept and selection! My consultant, Nicole, was phenomenal! I knew exactly what I was looking for, we first picked a few dresses that caught my eye and she chose a few for me. She set me up in a corset to keep the girls inane lifted (you want to try this to get the full effect) and if you're going for a fit and flare style you'll be recommended a crinoline slip. I liked the more natural look so I kept both off. A huge shout out to her and her team for making this such a great experience for me, this day was very emotional. You will know when you find your dress, you might not know it at first but when you're imagining yourself walking down the isle to the love of your life then the emotion overcomes you. read more

I started my journey with David's Bridal in September of 2014. I walked in and was greeted by Debbie , who was my dress consultant, and she was amazing. She helped me pick out a dress that I am so in love with. I then went back in and bought three bridesmaids dresses and the service was amazing. I then went in for my alterations. Oksana knew what she was doing and made sure that every pin was in the right place and if she didn't like it, she would play around some more until she got it just right. Today I went to pick up my dress and I was blown away. I couldn't be happier with how my dress turned out.
