My soon to be daughter-in-law had the worst experiance this Saturday! Back story: After 3 returns with issus ranging from getting the correct dress shipped, the correct size and defect on bodice, we were told by the manager that they would cover the alterations for free because of the inconvenience. "REPEAT... THEY OFFERED!" Come Saturday, time to go for the alterations, and no one was able to go with her, so she went alone. They said it would cost $1,500 for the alterations which consisted of raising the hem and taking in a bit at the top. When she says she told them about it was going to be comped because of all the issues, they said that that person didn't write it down and no longer worked there. They adamantly refused to help in any way and didn't even help her get out of the dress!!!!!! She called from the car whaling in anguish. How could your people do such an awful thing?! Knowing she was alone and not even helping her get out of the dress. Her feeling so emotional from now trying to figure out how to pay for alterations when the money had already been allocated to other things! How would you all feel to be snubbed in such a way or hear your daughter had been treated in such a manner?! This whole experience was a nightmare, when it should have been a fairytale for her, for any bride-to-be. The only amazing customer service received was on the first visit to choose the dress. Once we paid for it, it was all downhill from there. Truly heartbroken over her experiance, and I will re-post this everywhere I have a platform to do so. read more

If I could give this experience zero stars, I absolutely would. I would caution anyone considering purchasing your wedding dress here to please rethink your options. Pay more and go somewhere that will take care of you and keep you from the stress this store has added to an already incredibly difficult time to be getting married. I purchased a dress for 899 added a belt for 199, and a vail for 149. I spent 350 on additional alterations which I was assured were guaranteed, and added on straps. I live an hour away and drove in after my alterations were completed and the dress did not fit. The seamstress assured me it was MY fault because she had not changed anything in the bust area, so I had gained weight. Every brides worst nightmare, no? However, when I removed the straps it fit just as it had before. So I explained (me, the not expert in alterations) that clearly the straps raised it on my bust line and were the problem. A manager was called in so also assured me the straps were not the issue. Calmly, I explained again it fit without them. I was told it could be fixed at my cost. Only once I was brought to tears was I told it would be covered and my body had not changed it was the straps. They would fix it. I go back weeks later to try on the now "finished" dress. ITS RIPPED. TORN. This was KNOWN before I drove another hour in to town but was not important enough to fix or speak to me about. When I pointed it out to the same seamstress I'm told "this sometimes happens". So much for those guaranteed alterations ladies! The fix was decided to glue lace over the tear. Just what I dreamed of for the big day. Another manager called in. She was very apologetic for the situation, agreed this should have never happened. Ordered a new dress in. It arrived one week before the wedding. The thought of having to go through another set of alterations and have my dress back 4 days before I walk down the aisle and just hope nothing else goes wrong was too much for me. I have hated every second of my experience. I took the ripped dress home and was sent on my way with a tiny fraction of what I paid. Please. Please. Stay far away. This was so far off from what I had dreamed of since a little girl. You deserve better than what this store can offer. read more

It was my first time here and I will never refer anyone to this location... Elizabeth was so wonderful and helpful. She helped me find a dress I did want to buy... when I was ready to get my dress the font desk was like .... We thought that the front desk staff would end the wedding service experience great and well, but didn't. They didn't give a straight helpful answer and bothered that I asked for a military discount. Which they normally don't give.....it took like 25mins to just talk about. They didn't share helpful ways I could save on my dress ...cause tomorrow ...Tuesday May, 1st is military appreciation day....they offer 10% off and they (the front desk) failed to mentioned that to me while I heard them telling another guest over the phone. Why couldn't they say "Michelle if you come tomorrow you can save 10%" I don't understand??? I'm bothered that I wasn't treated fairly. Treat others like you would like to be treated. Making an appointment was so easy and even though I was late (I called ahead to let them know) they were still so helpful and accommodating. They were straightforward about the timeline for certain styles and helped my bridesmaids find the best dress for the season based on what I said I was looking for. I worked with Eugene and he is FANTASTIC!!! He was funny and helpful and very knowledgeable about everything. The other associates were also friendly and asked us if we were doing okay multiple times throughout our visit. It's 2019, so probably a lot of different staff from the older reviews. As bridesmaids for a non-local bride and court, David's Bridal was the only option for everyone to get dresses. After picking several dresses the court and bride liked, we were told there were only three options that would arrive by the October date even though we were ordering in June because of the "high demand". Probably the worst shopping experience and customer service I have experienced:( Not only were they pushy about trying to get me to buy a wedding dress, but when I ordered my bridesmaids dresses from them, the follow-up service was horrible! They gave my maid of honor a hard time when she picked up her dyeable shoes and shawl by first telling her they were never ordered, and second, claiming they were not paid for once they found them. I complained to customer service at the corporate headquarters and hopefully they will do something about it because when we went back to finally pick up the maid of honor's dress, they could not find her dress and it ended up in the alterations department. Three words to sum this business; it's a "run around circus!" The ladies working here are clueless when it comes to efficiency and communication skills. For e.g at the beginning, they ordered me the wrong size. I had to wait several weeks before the right size arrived. Once here, I had to make alterations. Fine and dandy. However, incorrect planning with appointments, rescheduling customers and making changes on the books was a total disaster. This unfortunate sequence of events happened to me three times. l came back because they forgot to make changes to the scheduled list. Once here, the alterations were wrong ...too loose. My scheduled time was wrong...again. Next day, my dress was altered too tight. So we're still here hoping for the best because I'm trying to stay positive. The last alteration with seamstress Dolores was very helpful & she was patient. Good things came after much patience and perseverance. The dress came out beautifully. I arrived at my appointment 15 minutes early and they didnt greet me just stared at me. i finally said hello and they let me know it was gonna be a few minutes. There were two employees off to the side sitting on the counter while there was an appointment going on. There were only me and one other bride at the time. I started to look through dresses as instructed and pulled the ones I wanted. All the while 3 employees chit chatted instead of helping me get my appointment going. Then the Bridal consultant Elizabeth told me I couldnt try them on because they didnt have my size, I am a 6, however she didnt show me any others that I could try on. She took me to a dressing room that the last girl had come out of and I asked to switch rooms because they didnt sanitize it. I went into another room on my own, I am not exposing myself to a risk. Then my Bridesmaid helped me in my dress, no one was standing outside of the dressing room when I came out and she had to find the pins to put the whole look together. I tried on another one and the same thing. NO HELP, No assistance, no guidance from ALL FOUR employees. I decided to leave after the second dress. Terrible attitiudes. I chose to schedule an appointment and go in by myself, that was a mistake. I was really hoping to leave with a dress, instead I cried my way home. This event transpired right before Covid took place back in March. Unfortunately I never got around to a review BUT, I went looking with my fiancé for a wedding dress for us BOTH as we are LGBTQ+. From the moment we stated we are getting married and looking for dresses together, the customer service dropped. We were being glared at, attitude, dirty looks. My now, wife, got paired with such a sweet woman who helped her find the perfect dress. Unfortunately, I was paired with someone who half-a**ed pairing me with a dress. We left after my wife tried her dresses on and despite loving it, didn't want to purchase from such rude people. I understand views may not be the same, but that should not mean to treat your customers any differently. A bride should be looking for A dream gown, not worrying about the shop making it miserable to be looking for a gown. I went to a fitting and wedding dress hemming with my sister in law and I was surprised they were still open as they are all closed in California. Well it took about 3 times to get an appointment that stuck since they kept calling to cancel on her. When we came in they greeted us (there was 3 at the counter) and told us to go back. It would've been nice if they actually walked us there since it was like a maze. The seamstress was nice, he was very diligent and got to work right away. He offered us some options and was very good and professional. I used the restroom while I was there and it was very run down and smelly. The changing area was also very old and had pins strewn about and my toddler almost stepped on some so watch out. The fitting took around an hour and as we checked out, the same 3 women hanging around (I don't think they moved) tried to upsell us. Maybe if they actually went with us to help out, it would have been different, but we didn't want what they were selling. I'm hoping that they actually will come through with her dress since it took them so long just to help her get it measured. read more

I've been here a few times, for myself and with friends/family. Each experience has been lackluster. It's always full of people. You have to have an appointment to try on dresses, but the dressing room area is usually very crowded and there's not much privacy. The ladies that help you try on dresses are nice, but they are predominantly Spanish speaking. The dresses and accessories can be quite pricey and they nickel and dime you for every service. For the amount of money spent, I expect a higher level of customer service. This place just doesn't cut it. read more

I was extremely excited to be getting married, and I am not the typical woman who wants over the top extravagant details. I am very simple, and easy to please. Even with that, every time I have been to this store, I have left angry and frustrated. I had first picked out a dress, and I called a few months later to find that they lost my file, they "mis-entered" my wedding date, and they lost my dress. I was two months away from the big day. I was horrified.. I asked to speak to a manager and was hung up on. I called again and after finally getting to the manager, they eventually found it, lost in dresses being prepared for next years dates. I then decided, well I will change my dress. I had extra money, and they hadn't done anything to the original dress anyways. I went in to pick another dress after the manager had told me to go in. I was ignored by one of the associates until I asked her if she could help me. Of course she "didn't have me down for an appointment" so told me I'd have to come back when I had an appointment. I told her I had already spoke with the manager, she rolled her eyes at me and told me "well it's not here". She did not try to fix the situation or help or find anyone else to help. I asked for the manager and she huffed and walked away. I finally got to pick another dress and finally went to pick it up two weeks ago. I went in, was treated so horribly and rudely that I wanted to just give the dress back. It was not worth all the trouble they had put me through. They were not only rude to me, but to my mother. Of course, I have no time to get another dress, and I love the dress; however, I feel like it will always be tainted by the terrible experience I had every time I stepped into this store. Even the manager was rude and unhelpful. I am getting married at the end of this month and I can say that I am extremely glad that my times at David's Bridal are over. I will never go to David's Bridal again and I will never recommend it to anyone. They have an incredibly high turn-over of associates and each different person I dealt with was ruder than the one before. Not one person was properly trained, and absolutely no one cared about their customers. They all looked miserable to be there and were never interested in helping. To be getting married is such a beautiful thing and something everyone dreams of, of course I am still happy to be getting married, but I can honestly say that David's Bridal has left a bad taste in my mouth and made preparing for my wedding into a nightmare that I never wish to relive again. Everyone deserves to have a wonderful wedding experience and I would never want anyone to go through what I did dealing with David's Bridal. I hate to rant on and on, but if I can save someone from experiencing what I did, then it's all worth it. After my experience today, I would give it ZERO stars but YELP will not allow it. I live out of town and was visiting my family so of course, eager to be with my mom, we set and appointment and went in with the hopes of finding a wedding gown - immediately the staff were very dismissive. There were 4 girls at the register and no one was available to help. Eventually a staff member came to help and stereotyped us and treated us poorly. When I asked to try on a few dresses, the staff member said it would take a 5 minutes to set up the dressing room. After 10-15 minutes she took us to the back and left us there, and went back to working with other customers. When I asked someone to help the initial staff member stated she was "looking for us" even though we could clearly see in the mirror she was not. When we were walking out, again she stated she didn't know where we were and was looking for us. Right away another staff member who was chatting with the initial staff said she could help but by that time I had already wasted 45 or so minutes of my time. Apparently the store associate told my mother-in-law that they did not carry her size. My mother-in-law is on the larger size; however, another friend of ours obtained dresses from another store. I originally sent this message to corporate on 12-20 thinking they would strike up a correspondence and address the issue. Today is 12-26. I still haven't received an email or call from corporate. I am appalled and disgusted by the experience I received at David's Bridal. I made an appointment for 12-20 on 12-17. I verified my appointment with a sales associate on 12-18. I am a bride. I made an appointment to look at bridesmaids' dresses. I was also open to looking at my wedding dress at that time. I went into my 10:30 appointment with my mom. I was told that my initial sales associate that was scheduled to be with me would be helping another girl, another bride looking for her wedding dress--apparently I dropped in importance as I was only looking for bridesmaids' dresses. At first, V. was a great help--she helped me find some dresses and took me to a fitting room--so I could try on the dresses for my girls since they have similiar body types--and said she'd be back. Then she disappeared. I had questions on several dresses but no sales associate to be found. In fact, one sales associate made it obvious that I would not be welcome on the dressing stage since there is another bride on it, by saying to my mom she could bring a chair outside my room so I wouldn't have to walk all the way out (and toward the 360 mirror). While I was trying on dresses by myself--no help, no pins, no questions if I would like different samples--the sales associate with the bride was raving about her beautiful body and talking about how her (the sales associate's) breasts changed after breast feeding and she can't fit in certain dresses. I found this tacky and crude. I could also hear that a 3rd sales associate was yelling that she was late to work because she was called in. I had a question on a convertible dress. My mom asked if anyone could help us. The 3rd sales associate came over and told me she could hand me a "pamphlet" to figure out how to style the dress since V. was busy hiring people for the store. I told the 3rd sales associate that I had an appointment and not only had been removed from my initial consultant but V.also let me as well. She didn't seem to care--she went back to doing her hair in front of one of the pillar mirrors. At this point I left--V. who was not hiring, but looking for dresses for the other bride (imagine--a bride that had 2 consultants working for her and me with no one)--asked if I had any questions. I asked how I could get service like the other bride. She apologized, said she's the sale manager and that she was busy today. I reminded her again I had an appointment. Nothing was done to assuage the situation. I will not be treated as an inferior customer. I immediately went to Posh Bridal (an AMAZING experience) and promptly ordered bridesmaids' dresses. I will also be getting my wedding dress there instead of even entertaining the thought of David's Bridal. I hope you rectify this situation for future brides. I can not believe this behavior is tolerated and the professionalism is lacking (also to note--sales manager had numerous deodorant stains on her shirt, most samples were wrinkled and with makeup stains, glitter from dresses fell all over the floor, etc.) read more

I wasn't measured or fitted for my specific sizing, she ordered a general size (I don't know if that's just how they run things.) Then when I told them I wasn't getting married anymore, the person I told was very rude! She gave me that judgy look and told me "we don't take returns." The only problem was when i arrived, i had my appointment at 6 and when i told the lady at the front she just said hold on. WORST BRIDAL STORE in EP! I have been to this bridal store a couple of times since I've been planning my wedding. Hands down this is the worst bridal store in El Paso. If I could give it zero stars I would!!! Every time I go in there I walk out frustrated and pissed off! The staff here has no idea what the meaning of customer service is, and that is a shame. Don't expect to get helped and if you are lucky enough to get acknowledged good luck getting them to help you find what you need! This last time I went in I was looking for flower girl shoes. I stood at the customer service counter and got ignored a bunch of times. Finally a girl came to ask if I needed something. She directed me to where they had shoes. There were only sandals so I asked you don't have closed toe shoes. She was like this is all we have. I was like really you only have sandals? Then she says in a sassy voice well you can order them. I asked her how long does it take them to get here she answered " I don't know"! LMAOL I told her can you show me the styles I can order she said sure hold on. After 10 min of waiting for her I turn around and she is at the register helping someone else find a dress. I literally just walked out, I decided that was a better option than doing what I actually wanted to do. I've been warned many times against going to this location but I needed something asap so I decided to take my chances. I called to get directions and was not told I needed an appointment so I was surprised when the women at the front were inconvienced by my not having one. I apologized and agreed to pick my own dresses and have my husband help me in the fitting rooms. After all that I was very surprised when the assistant manager, Ashley, led me to a dressing room and offered to help with any thing I needed. She also introduced a lady, LaRonda, who was helping someone in a room right next to me. Every time I came out in a dress LaRonda complimented me. Even though I wasn't expecting help Ashley checked in on me and even retrieved dresses in other sizes for me. At this point I was wondering why my friends dislike this place. I went to browse the shoes and I found out why. The workers in that area ignored me. I was fine helping myself but I couldn't help but listen to their discussion. They were complaining about Ashley. In so many words they were complaining about her being too friendly to customers and not understanding how the store worked. They said that the managers had been talking about it to. How horrible! Not just talking trash about a coworker at work but to be doing it because she was being nice to customers? Ashley and LaRonda were the only people smiling and enjoying their job. I went in here for a quick look through, to get an idea of what I wanted in my wedding dress. I was greeted by the front service staff and was treated very nicely. My friend and I looked around for a bit (initially I wasn't going to try on any dresses). I decided to go for it and try on two that caught my eye. Diane was the associate that greeted us second and she was the one that helped me put on the dresses. She took the first one off the rack and set me up with a fitting room with undergarments. I tried on the first one and wasn't happy with the fit. My friend had seen a second one and I decided to try that one on and I loved it! Diane was super patient, super helpful. I didn't feel pressured or anything and she explained how everything worked. I made a second appointment to let my whole bridal party see me in the dress and I can't wait! Diane followed up with a thank you call which I appreciated. I felt so comfortable talking to her about my price range and style and she was very helpful. I would definitely recommend David's bridal. Don't be scared off by the bad reviews. I wasn't expecting much based off of those and have been pleasantly surprised! (I've gone to 3 other bridal shops in El Paso, none with dresses as unique as David's Bridal.) Will update review once I go for my second try-on. read more

I don't know what happened here. when it was on gateway, the staff and service was great and I had bought tons of dresses from them for different occasions from my quincenera to prom. now the staff is inattentive, and act like you are annoying them. the store could be empty and you can't even find someone to help you try on a gown appropriately. both of my visits to this store recently have left me almost in tears from frustration. take your money and business elsewhere. read more

Shady. Just shady. My bridesmaid drove from NM to pick up an two ordered dresses. The one for her was the same color but when she got home she realized it was the wrong dress for another person in a size 0. Hers was size 14. She called the store and as usual they apologized, told her they would send hers to NM, along with an email to ship the wrong dress back. About 4 days later, the shipping label emailed to her for the dress had her address as the sender and return address!! She called the store again, and they told her they would fix it right away. In the meantime they were still holding onto her dress until they received the correct one. After arguing with them they told her she would also have her dress shipped right away and be there no later than Friday, which was 2 days later. I even called them to see what the problem was regarding getting her dress. My bridesmaid sent back their dress as promised. Well Saturday came and still no dress. My bridesmaid contacted them and they apologized stating they didn't have her correct address (all of a sudden) and would receive it on Monday. I had to call them back to make sure her dress was actually being sent. And I told them they should've sent hers the minute they found out they had her dress!! I don't even believe the other recipient knew her dress was given to someone else. I live in California. My bridesmaid will be here this week for the wedding and we were worried she wouldn't have one at all. Plus she may have needed alterations. Don't let this happen to you. They will look out for themselves. read more
