I was not going to do a review but I feel like I need to after my experience at David's Bridal in the Florence location. I did end up finding my dress at David's Bridal, but unfortunately the overall experience was disappointing. During my appointment, I received very little assistance in the dressing room (I believe the consultants name was Alyce but am not entirely sure) and did not feel supported while trying on dresses. I also was not allowed to try on certain dresses I was interested in, and I didn't get the opportunity to try on the styles I originally came to see. I was very rushed even though I made an appointment. What upset me the most was being told I may need to "try somewhere else" to find a plus size dress that would actually fit me. As a bride, that comment was very discouraging and made me feel unwelcome. In addition, when I picked up my dress, no one discussed alterations or offered guidance on next steps. My dress is too long and will need alterations done but I was not asked or helped. I was simply put into a dressing room by myself and was told "there you go" and "just stand on your tippy toes and the dress will be fine". We literally just tried on and walked out of the building (no one said anything to us by the way) because no one was there helping. They were not busy as we showed up 10 minutes after they opened and no one was shopping yet. And there were at least 3 or 4 girls there walking around. While I'm happy I found a dress I love, I truly wish the customer service and inclusivity had matched such an important experience to me. If I could return my dress and go somewhere else, I would. read more

Bennet was my consultant and she made it such a fun experience, lowered my anxiety and helped me narrow down what I was looking for in a wedding dress by asking helpful questions. She really listened to what I wanted, and didn't pull anything above my budget. She wasn't pushy about offering other accessories, and gave me advice on next steps for alterations. read more

I went in to purchase a dress for a formal event I am attending in a beach setting. Once again the David's ladies in the Florence, KY store did not disappoint. They are always so helpful and seem excited to help. Aaron in particular, although I understand she is new, did a delightful job and helped me find the perfect dress. She was able to understand quickly what I liked based on my body type and what I expressed as areas to play up and areas I felt I wanted to play down a bit. She knew right away what to suggest and pull for me. She was pleasant, helpful, understanding and all around wonderful. Olympia at the Florence location worked with me for my bridal dress alterations. Not only was Olympia nice, she was efficient, and extremely knowledgeable of how to take my dress from a 10 to a 20 :) I always felt comfortable when going in for a fitting. Sam was the employee who helped me, and even though I was shopping for dresses for two different weddings with different colors, she was able to keep everything straight! I told her the typical types of dresses I like and she pulled multiple options for me that matched up with what I was looking for! She made this experience that can sometimes be stressful and overwhelming easy and fun! Within an hour, I found my two dresses. I DO NOT RECOMMEND DAVIDS BRIDAL TO ANYONE! I went to David's Bridal in Florence on July 30th as a walk in (because they advertise "Walk Ins Welcome") I was fitted, shopped for my dresses, and then was told I had to meet with a stylist in order to try them on. We waited 2 hours for a stylist to meet with us, no big deal as I was a walk in and I completely understood. Found the dress I loved, met with alterations and was told I would need the dress hemmed (obviously, I'm short!) and the straps taken in a little bit. I was quoted $240, and they scheduled me for two weeks later. Brought the dress in and tried it on, and was told that I was sold a dress that was two sizes too big by their stylist Betty. I was frustrated at this point because I was measured by their stylists, sold a dress they knew was too big and even met with their seamstress the day I bought it. They couldn't return the dress because it was after 7 days, so they gave me a measly $80 off of alterations, which was now $600 because so much had to be cut off the dress! Alterations went from $240 to $600, due to their mistake!! I'm now $1300 in and all they can say is "since we gave you $80 off please leave us a good review on google" Go to pick up the dress and they didn't let me try it on. They instead said I didn't have an appointment, which I did because I received a text reminder. Get home with the dress, try it on, and it was ruined! It doesn't zip, my arms don't fit in the holes, it's literally cutting my circulation off. I call back and they tell me to bring it back (which is super inconvenient considering I live two hours away) so I take the dress back in for a 3rd time, sit for 3 hours waiting for them to "fix it" try it on again and it's even smaller! At this point the dress is butchered! Once you cut material off it cannot be reattached so there's now literally inches of my dress just gone and the dress does not even look the same! The waist is now at my chest, the dress is so tight I can't breathe, and they keep saying they don't know what else to do. Ask me to leave the dress AGAIN so they can "fix it." This is now the 4th time they have "fixed it" but they mutilate it more and more each time. All Olympia (the alterations manager) can say is "I'm not going to argue, we already have our time in to this dress so we can't do anything else. We've put the dress back to the way it was made factory"... which is impossible because they cut literal INCHES out of my dress. The dress has now gone from 2 sizes too big, to 2 sizes too small. I even bought the matching flower girl dress for my daughter which doesn't even matter now because my dress is RUINED. If you can, STAY AWAY FROM DAVIDS BRIDAL IN FLORENCE. They are a literal nightmare and they will ruin your wedding dress!!! All they can "offer me" is 20% back which is $160... for a dress that I will never be able to fit into. read more

If I could give no stars I would. The service was awful. Our sales person was Brooke. The most unfriendly person I may have ever met in a sales position role. Normally I don't complain but there was no way I wanted to spend a dime with her poor attitude. She wasn't helpful at all. She didn't help the bride to put on the dresses. She only spoke to the bride and ignored us the family to the point of being rude. She wore a mask but I'm pretty sure if she smiled it would have cracked her face. I understand the bride is the focus but her treatment of us and the bride was snotty. We left without buying anything. I'm sure David's bridal can find someone. Anyone. We were referred here by another David's bridal location after the Florence location located THE DRESS in my daughter's size. Our 25 minute trip turned into 35 minutes and we ultimately arrived at the Florence location at 8:51 PM, just nine minutes before closing. We entered the store and immediately noticed a difference of selection. This location had more homecoming options than the Kenwood store. A new dress caught my daughters Eye and she wanted to try it on immediately... Even before trying on the dress that she come there for. For the second time in one night her dream dress was too big. She tried on the dress that we'd come for and while the fit was perfect, she couldn't get away from the new dress. The sales rep called the manager and she quickly came over and gave us our options. Since the alteration was minimal, and the store was quite a distance from our home, SHE OFFERED TO DO IT THAT NIGHT!!! We were tired and had been dress shopping for several days and several hours that night alone. The problem was that we went to the wrong places. Save yourself some time and go here first!! I'm sorry that I don't have names but a HUGE thanks to all of the ladies at the Kenwood and Florence stores. You guys provided Rock Star treatment every step of the way!! read more

Just got back from here with my Aunt and it was pretty awful. I'm glad she made an appointment so that no one could help us and we were running around doing everything by ourselves. Pulling dresses ourselves. Also, Their was eight dressing rooms open but the women who were "helping" us only allowed the two of us to use one, and only try on one dress at a time. Then when my Aunt was trying on her wedding dress even tho there were two women already trying on stuff on that side she got stuck between them and we got to sit on the fold out chairs. Even tho there was another side that was completely empty. All the dresses here look cheap and like they bought items from Micheal's and hot glued them onto the dresses. The only thing I can maybe suggest is if you're desperate and looking for cheap brides made dresses. They had a handful that was alright. The last thing I'm going to complain about is the sizes. Do You wear a size eight? Guess what? In David's Bridal world you wear a size 14. (sigh) What I'm trying to say is if you would like a quality wedding dress and quality service, I wouldn't go here. read more

I bought my wedding dress at this David's Bridal location for my December 2007 wedding. I actually bought two wedding dresses. The first dress was an Oscar de la Renta and it was stunning and beautiful. But I ended up having buyer's remorse. David's Bridal will allow you one exchange of equal or greater value so I took advantage of that and traded the dress in for one that was slightly more simple. The second dress needed a few alterations so we used the in-house alteration service. The women there did a great job on the dress - everything came out perfectly. I had heard horror stories of the difficulties with bustling but the bustle was easy to do and held together on my wedding day like a dream. I also used David's Bridal for my bridesmaid and flower girl dresses, as well as shoes and a few accessories for myself (purse, faux fur capelet, veil and hair pin) and the bridesmaids (purses and shawls). The bridesmaid shoes and purses were dyed and they came out great. The bridesmaid dresses all came in on time - for those that had to order in pieces - and the alterations for those that needed them were great. Best of all, I had one bridesmaid who lived out of state and because I chose David's Bridal they were able to keep us connected through their computer system so she always knew exactly what she needed and I knew when she had ordered and received it. Very reassuring. Prices are really reasonable and they also have financing available if you can't pay the full amount. The only reason I'm giving them four stars is the customer service sometimes was not that great and I would end up feeling rushed. Picking your dress is a BIG deal and the last thing a bride wants to feel is rushed. This only happened a couple times though and, overall, I would say I had a pretty good experience there. read more

While I had a great experience purchasing a dress, my experience today with alterations really ruined my David's Bridal experience at the Florence location. A few months ago, I scheduled my alterations appointment. It was shortly after David's Bridal officially announced that they would be re-opening amidst the pandemic. I made an appointment using the text app, AKA Zoey. I had a nice conversation through text and made an appointment which I promptly put on my calendar. The last thing that I expected was to arrive at David's and be turned away because the appointment did not go through. Evidently, they do not schedule alterations using Zoey, which is weird, because I clearly remember typing ALTERATIONS in the app and asking for the Florence location. They also told me the app did not work; which is unfortunate, because the website points you toward the app for scheduling (or, at least, it did at that time). Rather than honoring my appointment, they told me I would need to reschedule, which seemed unfair since I did have an appointment time, even if it wasn't listed, and I had the money and items needed for my fitting with me. Additionally, I was made to feel like the mistake was MY fault - as if I should have known that the app was faulty. When asked if I recieved a confirmation call, I said no, but I hadn't thought it was weird that I didn't get one, because this isn't the first time I've not received a call throughout my experience. Up until this point, I was mainly disappointed. But then another bride and her family, walked up with an employee and the employee said loudly, "Here's your bride that *does* have an appointment." This might have not been her exact words, but she placed emphasis on the fact that I did not have an appointment. It made me feel guilty and embarrassed over something that was not my fault. While David's did reschedule me, I have decided to go to another David's because I do feel so embarrassed about the situation and hurt. I would have appreciated a little more kindness, understanding or a little more effort to make my appointment happen. Instead, I was told I could just come back at five (my original appointment was at 10:30) because they were just too busy and she had back to back appointments. This is, of course, understandable, and I would've been more understanding had David's been more accountable for their mistake, rather than placing the blame on my shoulders. Later, we called the manager, only to be basically told that, once again, this was our fault. So, while I do recommend David's for their dress buying experience, alterations is not worth your time. Find a better David's bridal or a tailor. read more

Great cocktail dress options at reasonable prices and friendly staff. However, my contact information was given to a Mary Kay consultant. I won't be back- very disappointed to see such unprofessional behavior by a reputable brand. I specifically asked not to provide my email at checkout and was told they needed it for my account- never made mention of distributing it. Next time they sell info, please provide dress style so I'm not bombarded with Bridal Package offers when I was buying a cocktail dress. After purchasing 8 bridesmaid dresses,flower girl dress,wedding dress and 9 pairs of dyeable shoes, i told the lady who had been helping me throughout my entire process what my wedding colors were and where i had rented the tux's and the color of the vests the men would be wearing. After driving 2 hours around town to find dye that i was told would match i received an email letting me know my shoes were ready. Long story short my color was pink and my shoes turned out PURPLE! I was devastated, i asked what could be done and was told..."sorry once we dye them we don't re-dye. They did nothing to correct the issue. So, i was left with$500 dollars in shoes that couldn't be fixed or worn. Once they have your sale they do nothing to correct any mistakes. Very unhappy!! read more

It's a chain. Prices are generally reasonable. Sales associates are incentivized by commission. To be honest, I didn't really look at the wedding gowns there as I already knew what I wanted. I went there mostly for bridesmaid dresses and picked out a couple options to show my girls. I sent an email with some links from their website to my bridesmaids. One of them responded: "Come on, David's Bridal? You're better than that." I think that pretty much sums up the overall sentiment towards this place. It's worth checking out any one of their branches just to know what's standard on the market, but don't expect to find anything special. read more
