This is the second time we have rented suits from them and this time is was for my wedding. Rented 8 suits for my wedding party from them and let me just say, it was a mess. The Groom vest was way to big and they said we don't have anything else just different colors. Ones pants were the right size but they looked like skinny jeans as if someone had thrown them through the dryer 5 times. One of the suit bags showed up completely missing the matching shoes to everyone else. Another was missing a button on his pants. A couple of the coats had issues, either the arms were too long or it wasn't a proper right fit suit. Very displeased. Was never offered anything in exchange and the fact that you can only pick up the suits 2 days before the wedding gives them no chance to fix your problem like they should. read more

I may be biased because I found my wedding gown here three years ago! I snagged it off of the rack and was able to have it tailored in store. The staff are patient and helpful and I have been here quite a few times since my own wedding to try on bridesmaids dresses. Aside from reasonable prices, the nice thing about David's Bridal is that you can have your wedding dress steamed for free at any of their locations! We went in on Sunday just to look as our wedding is 18 months away. When we walked in (15 minutes late) they were so accommodating. Robyn was our consultant and she took time to make my entourage feel welcome. She took our ideas and really helped me narrow down my style and inevitably find "My Dress". She was so patient and FUN! Con's: *While picking out my dress, the lady helping me kept pushing me to buy a headband and a little belt. Hated BOTH things and yet I bought them. A few weeks later I returned them *Was left in the dressing room alone to put my own dress on and was FORCED to walk outside the dressing room to look for the help, while the back of my girdle and the bottom skirt, were wide open from the back because I couldn't button them *Flower girls, my mom and my in law, my groom, the groomsmen and maids of honor, all got their clothes there and I couldn't get not one discount on the PRICEY alterations. I have never had a more horrible experience buying a dress in my entire life. It was bad enough to put me off from ever being a bridesmaid in a wedding ever again! The customer service was horrible, they messed up the order of my dress causing me to have to spend over $300 in alterations so it would fit and it still looked atrocious the day of the wedding I had to be in. They had no apologies and refused to fix it even though it was their problem. I am so happy I went to Nordstrom's when I got my bridesmaids their dresses because things like this can cause friendship to end! After having a bad customer service experience with another boutique we stopped in here on a Saturday afternoon. We were a little hesitant being a chain store but boy were we surprised. The customer service was amazing. From the greeter to the manager to the sales representative, everyone was so helpful! Katie was our rep and she answered EVERY question we asked, she brought lots of bridesmaid dresses to try on, helped with color schemes, gave advice on how to accessorize and never once made us feel like we were dumb. If I could give 0 stars I would. Needed a size 4, ironically they ordered a size 6. Now the alterations are going to cost a lot more. Fine. Accidents happen. Paid $444 for alterations because the dress had so many layers and they all needed to be hemmed INDIVIDUALLY. However, they took all the layers TOGETHER and sewed them as one. Daughter will have a big clump of material that slaps against her legs when she walks. Very uncomfortable. Couldn't get that fixed, not enough time. Hem was off 2-3 inches. Obvious, glaring mistake. Tara, the lady who helped us that day was able to fix that same day. Seam down the back of the dress had 3 puckers of clumps of material. Obvious and glaring mistake. Tara was able to fix that same day. The draping of the dress never was corrected. Since they ordered the wrong size and it had to be hemmed several inches, the day of alterations we also talked about correcting the draping so it did not make my daughter look shortened. The pinning was done to correct the draping. NONE OF THOSE ALTERATIONS WERE DONE. Tara even confirmed there were no alterations done. Tara was originally going to pin it up and she played with the draping, but we just didn't have time. Because the original alteration was NOT made, the entire fit of dress was wrong. The material has snagged in several spots. Able to fix most of them. Scared to death of bustle loops. Cheap, one strand. Hope they will stand up, if she chooses to wear the dress. Because they got the wrong size, the top of the dress needed to be altered and the armpits needed to be resized. Again, that was pinned up day of alterations. Again, that alteration was never done or not done correctly. My daughter did not say anything about that until after we left David's Bridal. If she wears the dress, we will have to go to a fabric shop and pin on straps, because the dress will fall down. We even paid extra to have cups put in. They are in, but it looks like a child sewed them in. The inside 1 inch band that fits across the rib band sags. My daughter was near tears so I didn't say much more the day of. As we left, my daughter whispered to me that she wished we did not get this dress. We went to the mall and picked out another dress, it looks like a brides maid dress, but my daughter may decide to wear that instead. I called the store a couple days later. They offered to fix it, AGAIN THERE WAS NO TIME. We live 1.5 hours away and are crazy busy. My daughter works every day before we leave for the wedding and cannot get off of work. They told us to bring the dress in and they would look at it. They do not need to look at it. Tara could vouch for EVERYTHING I am saying, except for the top of the dress because my daughter did not mention it until after we left. Also, both Tara and myself were not looking at the top of the dress really at all because the bottom of the dress was such a hot mess. We spent just shy of $1,500 at David's Bridal. DO NOT GO TO DAVIDS BRIDAL. THEY ARE TERRIBLE. The only good thing, my friend said, "Let her wear it. You do not need to worry about her ruining it. Just toss it after the wedding." I would rate lower if I could. We had a walk-in appointment on a Thursday afternoon and were seen to fairly quickly. My friend was trying on wedding gowns and the stylist handed her a book to look through while we waited for her to be ready. She pulled only two of the dresses we asked for and the rest were nothing like what she wanted. She only got to try on three of the five dresses that the stylist brought over and only accesorized her when we asked her to. The stylist was not knowledgeable about the dresses, accessories, or the services we asked about. The manager called my friend a bridezilla, which I found extremely rude. 2/10 for knowledge and time management, 1/10 for customer service. read more

I had an appointment scheduled for both bridesmaids and bridal. We got there and they were busy which I can understand seeing it was a Friday before a holiday. We had to wait a few minutes. No big deal. I had signed up on their website ahead of time and went through and 'favorited' dresses. They said they would pull them for the appointment so we could try them on right away. I live out of town and was coming up to Appleton for a bridal shower three weeks before the wedding that I'm a bridesmaid for. I decided that I wanted to get my alterations done in Appleton, so I wouldn't have to travel once it was steamed and ready to go. I called and made an appointment with David's Bridal and explained that I was coming from out of town and bringing the dress with. It was when I got to my six pm Saturday appointment that I walked in and they told me they can only alter David's Bridal gowns. At that point, I can't find a tailor in Appleton to get my dress altered, but I'll be back a week before the wedding, so I'm going to have to pay someone in Chicago extra to get it done in time. She made me feel so special and she was very patient (she spent about two hours with me and never complained)! I went to Davids Bridal in Appleton, Wi today and let me tell you I have worked in customer service for many many years and you can tell when people are being fake toward you and just want to make a sale. I want to give a huggggeeee shout out to Amelia, she is the real deal... I was nervous at first because they did not have any of the dresses I saw online. Bummer right? Not at all Ameila helped me get into 4 diff dresses.On my fourth one I seen it in the bag as my mom and friends picked it out! I thought no way in hell. Ameila told me that would be one of her dress choices if she was getting married, So I tried it on and yessss that was the one! I appreciate all Ameila did for me, she made it all about my wants . I told her I did not want a veil as I am doing a vegas wedding and it will be small, so Amelia picked out a head piece, I have envisioned in my mind, since I wear shorter hair. Ameila is an asset to the company because she gets people so well, she is a total fashion Goddess that can make the best creations. I am so thankful for meeting her and getting what can be an overwhelming and stressful time handled perfectly and with everydetail to pull off my wonderful day. I bought my wedding gown, daughter's bridesmaid dress, and other daughter's flower girl dress here. This place stinks! I live an hour and a half away and every time I have been here I have problems. Appointment 1- went to look at wedding gowns for first time. Our associate Carmen was rude and very pushy the whole time. Appointment 2- took my mother and grandmother there on a Saturday to try on the dress I had found for the. The place was so packed my 75 year old grandmother had no where to sit so she had to stand the entire appointment. Appointment 3- went to look at bridesmaids dresses with my maid of honor. One dress she was given to try on had a period blood stain on the back! Eeew! Appointment 4- brought my daughters to get their dresses. They no longer carried the junior bridesmaid dress I wanted for my 11 year old so we had to get the smallest size in the adult bridesmaid dress. They measured my other daughter but did not have any dress in her size to see if it was going to fit. The woman pretty much guessed what size she would need and ordered that. Appointment 5- went to pick up dresses and get a bra. Low and behold the only one that fit was mine! Appointment 6- alterations. My appointment today for my daughter and I was at 5:30(I have the appointment card that says so) we got there 10 minutes early and were treated like crap after they told me they had to rush me through because my appointment was at 5. After all of these headaches every time I go there I can't wait to be done with this place. Yes they have cheap dresses but staff run around like chickens with their heads cut off, are rude, and no one ever knows what's going on. The money I ended up paying for all 3 dresses alterations, I could have went somewhere else. read more

So unorganized and terrible customer service. I had an appointment there a few months ago for bridesmaid dress shopping and I had an account on their website with favorited dresses I wanted the girls to try on. I asked if they could have a few set aside for us, which they agreed to, but they didn't. The attendent spent two minutes with us and then told the girls to go find their own stuff. Not a huge deal since we had an idea of what we wanted anyway, but then when ordering the dress, the attendant told one of my bridesmaids to order two sizes smaller for her hips and waist and they would have about 3 inches of fabric to take out the bust later. When she got the dress, not only did it not fit anywhere , but there was only about 1/4" of fabric to play with-not enough. When she called to order a different dress, they would not let her return it. We called David's Bridal in Green Bay and they said the measurements the Grand Chute facility had down, shouldn't even be humanly possible. She still had to buy a second dress. I wish that was all, but they messed up another girls' shoes. Not only were they two different sizes, but they were for the same feet. Again, they would not let us swap out the shoes unless we brought them that day. Being 2hrs away and the wedding day (our fault for not checking BOTH shoes earlier), we couldn't do it that day. After trying to explain this to them repeatedly for 20+ minutes they informed us that the shoes were discontinued anyways and they didn't have any. I have to say that I am absolutely appalled that such a widespread, well-known bridal shop could be so unhelpful and unwilling to work with. Do NOT go here. I was very laid-back throughout the entire wedding, I can't imagine what stress and panic other brides would be put through having to deal with this. read more
