Wonderful experience. The staff is very knowledgeable and kind. They explained all my options clearly when getting my ring repaired. It was a poorly made ring in the first place (not bought from them), but no job seemed too small or large for them. I had this ring repaired at a different jeweler years ago and it broke again within months. Now, after being repaired here the band on my ring has never looked or felt better. I was also surprised at the selection of rare stone jewelry they had available. Reasonably priced too! Already looking through all my jewelry to see what else I can bring! read more

I don't usually write reviews, but in this thought it was important so others could be aware. I had a horrible experience with this store and in particular the manager, Randy, who was extremely rude and unprofessional. They gave me a written estimate for my work and then when calling me to come pick up my things, explained they made a mistake and wanted to charge me over 40% more than the original quote. When I said I thought they should live up to their written estimate, as any good business operation would, he claimed I was trying to take advantage of the situation so I wouldn't have to pay the extra money. But here's the thing: I know the clerk made an adding mistake. And I realize mistakes are made. But any quality business would stand up to their original pricing, apologize to the customer for the confusion, and eat the price difference. And hey, if that had been offered I would have gladly thanked them for the offer and PAID the new price! But no, this is what I get instead: a phone call from a very angry Randy who is hot under the collar, rudely accusing me of trying to take advantage of their mistake and trying to rip them off. So the conclusion is this: don't expect professionalism, customer care, or courtesy when you go there. Because all you'll get is the opposite. If I could rate this below one star I would. read more

Always do a great job at a reasonable price. Staff has creative ideas on how to modify new or inherited jewelry for use. Quick turnaround, I don't think it's ever taken more than a week or two to do something for us. read more

I am absolutely in love with this business. They are friendly, caring, efficient, and really do want what's best for you. I got recommended this business by several people at my job and all they were saying is true. They have beautiful, previously loved jewelry, fast, repairs, and even new jewelry. I love the owner and the young lady who works out front. They're both so kind and show interest in you as a person. I just got a couple change repaired and an earring turned into a pendant. Not only did they give me a bargain, but they made the process very easy for me. The chains came out perfect they look as if they were never broken the pendant flawless and they all did this in a timely manner. If you're looking good, beautiful jewelry, this is a place to go. The deals are crazy and if you talk to them, they will probably lower it for you. I have nothing but good things to say about this place. I highly recommend this is a shop to go if you don't want any tacky ugly jewelry they have one of a kind pieces and I can honestly say nothing here really looked like the modern day 2010, ugly jewelry trends. I'll start out by saying that the staff, Bajee (sp?), Joe and Erica are wonderful and delightful people and are extremely good people to work with. I had been going there for years to purchase some beautiful jewelry. I will not, however, be returning to this business. I have a watch with a missing stone that I want to be treplaced. I brought it in and Erica cordially accepted my watch and said that they'd call back to let me know if they were able to find a match. I told her that it also needed a battery. She called back a day later and said that they were unable to find a match, and I could come and pick it up. I went in a few days later to pick it up. But, I thought I would attempt finding a replacement stone on MY OWN TIME so that I didn't have to waste anymore of their time on it. So, I asked Bajee (sp?) if she could/would please quickly measure the space to determine what size to look for. That was all I said. And she took out her caliper to measure it. Then the Owner, Randy, turns around and starts accusing me of plans to repair the watch MYSELF! The store was full of customers. I was so taken aback, and told him that I had no plans of doing that! And he insisted that that's what I was doing --which couldn't be further from the truth! He then barked orders to Bajee to make an immediate phone call ... in other words ordering her to stop the measuring she was doing for me. It's just NOT OK to talk to a regular customer / ANYONE that way! It appears as if I'm not the first to get caught in his crosshairs... and am sure I won't be the last! Watch out for Randy's erratic unprofessional behavior. read more

I'm getting married next May and I brought in 4 rings that were passed down from my parents and grandparents (with their approval, of course) and had them melted down to create a one of a kind wedding ring. I was very nervous to have them melted down and turned into something new, as each of them were very special to my family, but the team at Expert Jewelry did an amazing job at walking me through the design process, keeping me informed along the entire process, and ultimately delivered a ring that was more beautiful than I had anticipated. When melting down old gold there is usually flaws in the ring but the gentleman who does the work does an impeccable job at making sure it is as close to perfect as it can be. It looks like it is brand new! and the diamonds in the ring sparkle like I have never seen them sparkle before. I could not possibly be more happy with their customer care and their craftsmanship, and not to mention the price - it was the lowest in the area by far. My first experience with Expert Jewelry was a few years ago. I had two gems and I wanted two matching custom rings created (one for my best friend and one for me). I had a picture of a ring we really liked but we wanted our rings to have a little bit different design but very similar. I went to several jewelry stores and the prices of 2 custom rings was several thousands of dollars each. I went to Expert Jewelry and Kim asked if I could purchase the rings and allow her to finish the custom design for a couple hundred dollars. What a great idea and saved me sooo much money. I dropped of the purchased rings, gems, Kim created the rings we wanted and called me about a week later to pick them up. Since then, I brought several other jewelry (necklace, medial bracelets, earring) to be repaired and purchased a few of their own jewelry also. I was always happy and satisfied leaving the store. read more

Great work, straight forward explanations, creative solutions, and friendly are my words to describe the Expert Jewelry Repair & Design in Appleton. They have repaired my jewelry and have done a great job. There are times they help me understand the cost/benefit of my ask given the quality & value of my jewelry which I appreciate immensely. I have a bracelet that I've been told is unrepairable from a different jeweler. They verified this, but gave me ideas on how I could alter and still use the bracelet. BRILLIANT! It worked like a charm and I have my favorite bracelet back on my wrist. They've also designed jewelry for me and I'm pleased with the results. One big, and pleasant, surprise is that they buy the left over pieces of jewelry (like empty pendants, rings, settings, etc.). This is a cost and clutter savings. They also sell both new and used jewelry. I've purchased jewelry from them and am thrilled with the caliber. I highly recommend this establishment. read more

Ok I guess I could rip these guys a new one but I will refrain a little. I dropped off a watch to be repaired and 4 months later I finally picked it up. I'm so glad to have it back. I myself became very frustrated with these people and there were issues with one of the folks involved in fixing it as the mans mother died and that took weeks to get thru. I'm not a clod miserable bastard but come on 4 months. I myself will never use these folks services again. If u choose to then good luck. But in closing I'm glad to have my watch back and am wearing it now. read more
