I have had a great experience at this location with every visit. I've been in 3 times. Once was just random walk in during the week to figure out different styles. The young woman was super helpful and we narrowed it down to a couple. The second time I brought some people and we narrowed it down some more and the last time we ended up buying the dress. The last two visits I had Laney help me and she was fantastic! Super friendly, helpful and kind. If you sign up for rewards you are constantly getting deals for online and in store. Some of the deals are pretty good discounts that may help you with your purchase. Which is also helpful. I get reminder texts etc. At checkout they offered me a couple things I didn't need and there was zero pressure after I said no. read more

Everything was so unorganized. When I first arrived, they did not have my reservation. The dresses were introduced to me by how much they were discounted. Basically saying that rack is 30% off that rack is 10% off that rack is half off. None of the dresses were organized by style, and my stylist had no knowledge of designers or styles. Most of the dresses are very dated and although I understand that they are just display dresses for trying on, most of the buttons were broken or zippers were broken or very dirty. Nor was there enough room to seat everybody. And after my appointment, I received a text saying I missed my appointment and if I would like to reschedule. We received very little assistance because they overbooked their dress appointments. All the sample dresses were very dirty. I have also been receiving phone calls for over 3 months letting me know that my dress is ready for pick up. I have let THREE different salespeople know that I never ordered anything and they have some other poor bride's dress and have neglected to notify her due to their mistake. My family and I were trying to locate a formal dress for funeral pre planning for a beloved family member. David's bridal is who I turned to for my vow renewal 15 years ago, so I knew they had a great selection of formal dresses. We called to make an appointment and explained to Nicole our unique situation.. she made our same day appointment and when we arrived, she greeted us and quickly took us to an area to view what they had in stock. We ultimately chose something from their website and she could have very easily stopped there, but she helped us get online and order directly from their store computer! I cannot say enough amazing things about the fantastic help we received at David's Bridal of Greenville, NC. Every one from the stylists to the seamstresses were EXCEPTIONAL. I found my perfect dress and it was tailored to me. I'm an older bride so finding that right dress was important. They had so many beautiful dresses to choose from. I ordered my dress back in December and they lost it so much and kept telling me different stories about where it was. I got it very end of March (but barely). I contacted customer service so many times and they refused to do a thing for me. They kept telling me that it was in in store order and that I had to deal with the store. I kept having to go down to the store in person many times and they could not even find my dress. I needed this dress altered and they told me it would be at least another month until they could get to it. Well if I waited that long, I'd have no dress for my wedding. Jokes on me though in the end because I had to take it some place else and pay them another 350 dollars and it still doesn't fit right because they couldn't alter it properly due to the fact they do not have the beads there. I spent over 1k on a dress I can not wear. You literally can not call them or email them since they do not care about you and will not respond. I literally could only recommend this place if the dress fits you and you can walk out with it. I should have went elsewhere when it took them 5x to alter my friends wedding dress since they kept screwing that up too. read more

THEN the next day, they called us and we're so rude saying the dress was no longer available after going through the entire process. Today, 11/17/19, my daughter visited this location at 2:45 pm. To highlight our visit: we were NEVER ACKNOWLEDGED BY ANYONE, the entire 45 min we were there. No "welcome," no "what brings you in today?" NOTHING. Even after making eye contact with a few of the consultants, NOT A WORD. This is NOT ACCEPTABLE in any industry that sells to the public. Small wonder that customers prefer the bridal shop a few miles away with a TON more gowns. My daughter has only been engaged a few days, and I truly hate that THIS RUDENESS is what she encountered her first time out in looking for a gown. This is an exciting time for brides, SHAME ON YOU for your sub par "service." I will NOT recommend this location, quite the contrary, as I will warn others. My mom and I recently visited David's Bridal to look for her mother of the bride dress. It was such an underwhelming experience from the moment we walked through the door. We had scheduled an appointment, but the check-in process seemed overly complicated. They then directed us to a section to look at dresses. We actually thought they had forgotten about us when an assistant finally turned up to show us to a dressing room. There are no mirrors in the dressing room, so you are forced to step out to view the dress. The assistant came over a few times to make general nice comments about different dresses but provided no helpful direction--she thought a long sleeve, navy dress would be perfect for an outdoor late summer wedding. Honestly, she may as well have not even been there. We were still in the dressing room at one point when she knocked and immediately flung open the door without waiting for a response, then said, oh, we thought you guys had left. Fortunately my mom was still dressed. We left shortly after that and found what we needed at a department store--better selection and comparable in price, plus we didn't have to order anything. read more

Per my fiancé: My bridesmaids and I were not greeted at the door, even though there were four consultants sitting around a welcome table. When we introduced ourselves for our appointment, one of them had difficulty finding us, until the one standing pointed to my name on the list. They just pointed us to the area where we would be trying on dresses (didn't walk us over), and we had to ask where we could put our stuff down. A few of the bridal consultants called in sick on the day of my bridal appointment, so my bridal consultant, while amazing, was not able to give me her attention. I waited about 15 minutes between dresses, and was only given one new dress at a time. A manager asked me what I liked about the dress I was currently wearing, but didn't offer to get more dresses or have someone else help. She just stood around with a clipboard. The brides around me tried on three dresses each to my one. We ended the bridal appointment a little early, as we weren't getting any attention, or use of any accessories. When we went to check in for our bridesmaid appointment, we were again just pointed to another section of the store and told "someone will be with you shortly." We looked at the bridesmaid dresses, pulling ones we thought we would like to try on. Then our bridesmaid consultant came up to us, absolutely REEKING of booze. This wasn't the "I had a great night, woke up hungover, and came to work" kind of smell, but a "I am taking shots of vodka out of a water bottle every time I disappear for a few minutes" kind. We looked for a manager, but didn't see one in that area. Our bridesmaid consultant steered us away from whole sections of bridesmaid dresses because they "didn't come in all the colors," even though I hadn't yet picked out our colors, and had a wide range of colors I liked. She couldn't remember my bridesmaids sizes, consistently bringing back a completely different dress or size than we had requested, to the point that we stopped using her, and just got our own dresses ourselves. We selected a bridesmaid dress, which we had tried on about four times, and our bridesmaid consultant wrote down the wrong dress style. (No worries, I took a photo of the style number for my own records.) After we had left, one of the bridesmaids called the store and asked to speak to a manager. When they asked why, she said that she felt uncomfortable as our consultant reeked of booze. When she was told which consultant it was, she wasn't surprised. She also thanked the bridesmaid for the call, and hung up before a manager could be called. All in all, it was a very disappointing experience. I would steer clear if you expect to have any individual attention or a sober consultant. read more

Last year at prom time the ladies here were very helpful. They took measurements so we would know my daughters size. We go here today and they told us they don't Do measurements for prom dresses. My daughter and her friend were clueless on where to start. I guess that's changed in a year. They weren't the friendliest today. Almost like we were an inconvenience. read more

This is the worst bridal store I've ever been to. They almost ruined my wedding back in 2013 when they promised to have my wedding gown steamed and ready the day of but since my consultant wasn't there the day of no was willing to help me. The staff is always so rude and act like it is the biggest inconvenience to help you in anyway. We just recently went there on a Tuesday afternoon for my sister's bridesmaid dresses and no one was willing to help us. I understand we didn't' have an appointment, but there were at least 5 people working on the floor and only one woman trying on dresses in there when we were there. We asked for help and one woman said ok and walked away and proceeded to ignore us. Another woman acted like we were idiots for even being in there. We saw one woman come in to get a bridesmaid dress (without an appointment) and she was helped right away. The woman that I can only assume was the manager for the day kept making rude snide comment to her employees about us while we were standing at the register. I can't believe this is how you would treat people. We will be writing to corporate about this as well. If you can go to ANY other bridal shop I would recommend that, or go out of Greenville if you have to go to a David's Bridal. I thought my wedding might have been a fluke but to receive the same rude and dismissive service years later is just completely unacceptable. read more

In addition to being extremely expensive they really messed up my dress and made me buy a bunch of things to wear underneath it that were unnecessary. I paid $300 to have my alterations done and then had to go somewhere else and pay $200 to fix what they did. read more

I had no issues with the store. I ordered a bridesmaid's dress online over four months before the wedding. I did not receive the dress until the day before the wedding which left me no time to get any alterations done or make any changes to the dress. The dress wasn't even going to make it to me on the day I received it had I not contacted an online agent who then sent a message to the warehouse to let them know that the event date was less than a week away and the dress needed to be shipped out. Had she not done that, I probably wouldn't have received the dress in time for my sister's wedding. I won't be ordering from David's bridal in this format again. read more

Got to David's Bridal at 10:29. Opening hours are 10:30. The manager came to the door to let in an employee, and locked the door back. There was a LINE of customers standing waiting to get in, and she looked at me through the doors and said "we open at 10:30." I replied "It is 10:30", and she looked down at her watch and went "Mmm..:not quite!" This was the rudest most ridiculous situation I've ever been in. Unfortunately it's the only one around and I need to shop here for a wedding I'm in, otherwise someone else would be getting my business. I will never come back if I can help it. Not once. When I finally grabbed my own dresses and asked for a dressing room, I was again told to wait and was laughed at by the employees standing around talking to each other. My experience at Davids was amazing. I went in there to look at what style I wanted for my wedding and although they knew that I wasn't going to purchase today, they still let me look for 2 hours and try on as many dresses as I wanted. I loved the experience and I actually found the dress. I am having my bridesmaids use Davids for their dresses due to the convenience of location for them being in several different states. If I knew the pressing of my dress would hold for a 14 hour drive to my wedding location, I would purchase from this location. Summer was an awesome consultant for the day and I will definitely recommend her for all friends in this area. This Davids Bridal renewed my faith in the chain. read more

Terrible customer service if you're not buying a wedding dress. I bought my wedding gown at a different DB location (David's Bridal in Athens, GA - which was a wonderful experience; the type of experience every soon-to-be bride would hope for when shopping for her wedding dress), and later went to the DB on Haywood Road for bridesmaid dresses and accessories for my dress. Not only were the sales associates unhelpful and apathetic -- they IGNORED me throughout my entire time in the store. I browsed through the bridesmaid dresses, looked through the bridal shoes, tried on sashes to go with my dress - all the while not being offered any assistance. I was told when I arrived that someone would be over to help me, but that person never showed up. I have had this exact same experience on two separate visits, and will absolutely NOT try my luck at this location again! read more

This is a great store! I came here in July '18, I found 6 dresses that I , they were in my size (6-8) no clips needed. I could see what the dress would look like and the entire process was fantastic, sales girls and all! I never dreamed that I would find, let alone buy a David's Bridal dress. None of my friends believe me when I say I found my dress. I live in NJ and assumed that I would easily be able to find these dresses I've been sooo disappointed, not one dress. I ended up having to order it. Not a great loss but the wonderful experience I had at this store was not matched. Horrible experience. We were told even though we were scheduled for an hr and a half that my daughter could only try on 3 dresses. Luckily she knew what she wanted and we bought her dress. The girl helping us was pouring sweat and girls said she smelled. She even told one of the bridesmaids that "tea length" meant a dress that comes only to the knee. I was not impressed with David's Bridal on Haywood road. I got there for my appointment at 10:30 and was not met by my consultant for about 10 minutes, taking time away from my 1 hour limit. I was told I could only get 5 dresses to try on so I didn't get "overwhelmed". I did not get measured so I had to guess what my size was. I tried on the dresses and was not given much time to look at the dress I had on. My consultant kept checking her watch and telling me how long I had left. I felt very rushed. I wanted to try on a dress that I had previously tried on and really liked. I was then told that I only had 5 minutes left and that I couldn't try on the dress again. I left empty handed and went to Jillian's Bridal in Hickory, NC where all dresses are $699 or less! They had beautiful designer dresses and they allowed me as much time as I needed. The consultants gave me a rack and told me to get about 12 dresses to start off with. One of the consultants put all of her time in to lacing up my dress completely and cried when she saw me in it. They were very enthusiastic and attended to me 100%. They were wonderful and I found my dress, however David's was not. Take a drive to Jillian's bridal and find your beautiful dress! read more

So far, so good. We are pleasantly Surprised. We have received the veil, two flower girl dresses and will soon receive a wedding dress they were able to rush to us by the new wedding date! WE were very skeptical of the place just because bigger/Chain doesn't always instill great customer service. My daughter was just heartbroken because the original dress she fell in love with (at a different store) had told her they could order the dress she fell in love with and then told her it had been discontinued and she could not order it. We left the other store with her in tears. After a short talk and passing by Davids I stopped JUST INCASE something caught her eye. I told her to enter with an open mind. She found THE dress! She tried on a Vera Wang Gown and it was practically made for her! We ordered it and found a veil that just made the dress pop even more. We received the veil within a week of ordering it. I was not pleased when we first opened it, it was obviously a store display. We checked it over very carefully and made sure everything was perfect. I called Davids and they offered a discount for the balled up and stuff in bag issue. They also told us to bring it in before the wedding and it will be steamed and cleaned for the shipping persons misstep. They handled it quickly, went above and beyond to make it right. We were very pleased with their service and making things right. After my daughter and her fiancé decided to move the date up. We called to see if we could have the dress rushed to us for the new date. The store was more than accommodating. The dress will be here two months earlier than originally projected. I will update this after we receive the dress. So happy this store was able to make her so happy after the other shop was so upsetting. read more

Scheduled an appointment here to get bridesmaids dresses. When we got there, they said they were "double and triple booked" and that they would need time until rooms became available. They gave us two fitting rooms, I had to pick all the dresses myself, and the staff's attitude made the exciting time miserable. Considering her work environment, I dont blame her. They have a big selection with cheap prices, but overall a terrible experience. read more

We had a great experience picking out my daughter's gown but it was downhill after that. They knew we had a tight turnaround for the fitting to be done in time for the wedding yet they put her off by over a week! When we arrived for the fitting, the seamstress was overbooked and was expected to handle all of the clerical side of the alterations as well. This included walking to the registers in the front of the store to ring them up. My daughter's appointment was over 45 minutes late getting started. We were charged extra for the short-turnaround, by the way. When we came back for the final fitting, the dress hadn't been altered correctly. They didn't taken it in enough and the bustle was an over bustle rather than the agreed upon under bustle. Apparently, our seamstress was out and didn't do the actual work and those who did can follow directions. My daughter doesn't cry easily but this whole mess had her in tears. The manager was somewhat apologetic and did compensate us for the errors. However, when I suggested they needed to change their process to make it easier for the seamstresses to do their jobs, she said her hands were tied. She's the store manager! I would think twice about sending anyone to David's for a gown. I'll definitely tell them about our experience so they can be totally informed. read more

When I asked to be checked out, a very unprofessional female, who found it professional to wear a button up sweatshirt gave me a very large "go to hell look" and walked off. I am very pleased with my experience at Davids Bridal in Greenville. Brandon, Tanitia and Lei, I believe it was, did everything in their power to please me. From taking dresses off manikins to helping me pick bridesmaids dresses and colors. They made me feel special and like a beautiful bride. They all were very easy to get along with and had awesome customer service. I recommend going to any bridal shop on a week day, because its less hectic, and you wont feel pressured into making a decision. It was Brandon's second week with the company, and he made me feel like he had been there for years. My appointment did last for about 2 hours, maybe more, and i never felt rushed or ignored. We stopped at David's Bridal for a wedding dress and the girl that worked with us really didn't know what she was doing. I had to give my daughter info about wedding dresses that I felt the sales associate should have been doing. She also gave us the brush off after we decided to sleep on our decision between 2 dresses. Also, if you are on a low budget this may be ok for you but it looked like my daughter was trying on prom dresses, not wedding dresses. So glad we continued our search at other shops. read more

I had came to David's bridal with hopes of getting an idea of what type of dress I would be purchasing for my big day. As My girlfriends and I entered the store, we stood a few minutes with out being greeted while three employees partook in conversations between themselves. So my friends and I started to head towards a sales rack and then was finally greeted by a girl behind the counter asking if we had an appointment. I told her that I was unaware that we had to have an appointment since the site I used did not specify and my experience before did not require an appointment to look at gowns. The girl was not friendly, in fact she was snobby and unwelcoming. She was nice enough to refer us to another local wedding shop. If I had to base my entire opinion on this experience I would never deal with the David's bridal in Greenville, Sc agian. I feel that she should have took the time to try to set an appointment and if not, invite us in to check out the store, kindly tell us that in order to try on dressed an appointment was necessary however, we were welcome to look and offer us a catalog so when we did set an appointment we could have an idea of their inventory. read more

I have shopped at David's Bridal multiple times and always had mediocre experiences. I think they are great if you need to pick up a dress for a cocktail party or event, but shopping for a wedding dress or bridesmaid dress is a different story. When I went there for wedding dresses the consultant was way too busy, we ended up having to pull a lot of the stuff we needed. Bridesmaid dress shopping was an even worse experience. I went in with a photo of a color from their website, and the consultant said it had been discontinued. She told one of my bridesmaids a dress didn't look good on her (we did not ask for her opinion), and she made us all cram into one dressing room even though there were plenty available. Right as we were about to leave she showed up magically with the color I had asked for originally and said it was actually a new color that hadn't been released yet. I just feel like if something is on their website, even if it's new, they should have in store training to get their employees up to speed. We did end up ordering the dresses from them because we needed them quickly, and they did arrive two weeks before they were scheduled, which was nice. read more

I came all the way to David's Bridal in Greenville SC, from Jacksonville NC, to share my wedding dress experience with my sister. When we arrived, we were greeted at a FILTHY desk by the receptionist. She proceeded to send me on my way with my "stylist". Whose name I was never told. She was crudely dressed and didn't have much to say. Every dress I had picked online she told me they did not have. So I asked her to show me similar styles, she picked 2 dresses for me and put me in the dressing room... My sister had to help me in and out of the dresses which were dirty as well as all of the floors in this shop, and all of the chairs for guests were peeling and split! The two dresses the girl gave me didn't work so we asked for suggestions, and of course the "stylist" had NONE! This was the worst experience I have ever had dealing wits someone is customer service/sales, and that was only the dress portion! All of the shoes we looked at were mixed up, boxes squished etc. I would not waste a DIME purchasing anything from this store or its employees! I will continue my search for the perfect dress and a better experience, ESLEWHERE. read more

I went to David's Bridal back in January to pick out my wedding dress. I found my dress in the Greenville store but ended up ordering my dress online from David's Bridal website. I had no idea that the stores are on a different system than the online orders. I had my dress for about a month when I went in to have alterations done. During my alterations appointment, my dress broke out my chest and back. The staff at David's Bridal were so good to me in trying to help me figure out what I was going to do. They made me an appointment for the next day to come back and try to find another dress. My appointment was at 7PM and I didn't end up leaving until 9:45PM. Sarah was my stylist and she was so nice and very helpful!! Danielle is an awesome manager and handles stressful situations in the best way possible. I was so upset after my first dress didn't work out but I can say Sarah and Danielle made the situation go as smooth as it could have considering the circumstances. I will not give a rating of excellence because honestly I am hurt and very disappointed in my wedding dress!! Let me tell you all about MY experience with them. This is my second marriage and the only wedding I've had so as you can see I'm very excited and I wanted the perfect dress, Well I found it, tried it on and it fit perfect as if it were made for me. Well, we pay for the dress so it can be ordered (won't order until payment is made) and then told no refunds and if alterations have to be made it will cost us more money. Was told when I get the dress back that it would fit snug BUT it would fit. They said they would call or email me when my dress came in.....Nothing, no call or email, I had to call myself to see if it was back yet. I am getting married the beginning of October and do not have a lot of time so you see my frustration thus far. Well I went to pick my dress up all excited and I get there and was NOT asked if I would like to try it on before I left, I HAD to ask them and the lady's response was, well I can put you in a dressing room but do not have anyone to help you, fine I said, I know how to dress and undress with a smile (still excited) well I get into the dressing room, try my dress on and guess what? IT DOES NOT FIT!!!! I then proceed to get the lady in the dressing room and she got the alteration lady and was told it needs alterations. NO!!! I told them this dress should have fit, that the one I tried on fit perfect and this one should have too. I mean I have not gained weight, trust me this dress was 3 or more inches to small and would not zip at ALL. I was told I can pay an additional cost to have dress altered , No, I don't want it altered, I want it to fit like it was promised to. One, they should have measured me before hand, there were no measurements taken at all, not even suggested. I am so very hurt of my experience that I'm in tears. To think I have to lose weight to fit in a dress that fit me in the store is hurtful when you are told this by an employee. I am not spending anymore money (that I don't have in the first place) to have alterations. It's a scam, You should be told up front everything from no refunds, returns and extra cost for something that is GOING to come back to small or to big!! I'm sorry but when someone is getting married to the man of their dreams and you find your ideal, perfect dress, IT SHOULD FIT!!! I love the dress and just want something done to where either I get another dress from the store that day, that fits with NO EXTRA COST or my money back!!! Plain and simple.
