People are nice, but promise things and don't deliver. The alterations department is not helpful and make sure you check what they say they will do and the what they actually do. We were charged for altering sleeve, but the dress doesn't have sleeves. I have a call into corporate and will try to reach management AGAIN tomorrow, and every day until I talk to someone in management. Update: After contacting customer service we were granted a second appointment with the alterations manager who show me all the alterations and admitted some things on the receipt were mislabeled. She did her best to satisfy my daughter, but she did not receive what she was promised by the sales clerk and alterations assistant. I do admit that the alterations manager did do her best to make my daughter happy. It's too bad I had to raise a stink! read more

Attention Custoners if you ever buy a wedding dress on AFFIRM CARD and have to return it make sure the return goes on the virtual card number that you used for purchase. Don't let store talk you into opening another card just to get CVV #! The credit will go on a virtual card without a loan giving you a credit to nowhere. Now my return is on a virtual card that never had a purchase but i have a balance of -$892.93. My original card loan I still have to make payments of $157 a month till paid off. BUNNY introduced herself to me on the most energetic and supportive manner. I'm not a girly girl but I wanted to be a princess. I had ideas, but didnt know really what to do. BUNNY heard all of my ideas (and my family's to) never made us feel rushed even when I was indecisive. BUNNY came up with awesome suggestions and ideas. Trying on dresses was scary. I needed something that was just right, I didnt want to talk size, I just wanted to be a princess. BUNNY and her posse, as she was training others that day as well, listened, were respectful and even pointed out that size is only a point of reference to start from. I didnt even need to know the size. :) BUNNY Met with my family and I to confirm the dress I chose and bridesmaid dresses and again it was magical. I really felt like I was in good hands. She had appointments and walk ins that came in and she did a great job if working with them as she helped me. Incredibly disappointed and frustrated! I showed up to my fitting as a bridesmaid with the other bridesmaids, only to find that the staff member had ordered the wrong dress. We were told that the correct dress will be ordered for each of us and that they will do alterations on a rush without a rush fee, giving us a week before the wedding to allow for any last minute changes. When one bridesmaid goes in for the fitting in the correct dress, she is told that the rushed simple hem will not be done until 2 days before the wedding despite the fact that 2 other bridesmaids don't have their fitting appt until the following weekend which would mean their's would definitely not be done in time. read more

I went to the David's Bridal in Lynnwood (where I actually live) and had 3 appointments there and the dress felt right, but the people didn't. I tried on a different dress in Tacoma (that was the only place that had the other dress I wanted to try) but went back to the original dress that I fell in love with in Lynnwood. Let's just say, the whole team at Tacoma was again nothing but AMAZING!!!! They worked around my needs, they helped schedule alterations, and they offered me so many tips that I need to travel with my dress. Today I went in to this location for my daughters homecomings dress. I'll be honest, this is not my area of expertise, but I figured the staff would certainly help, given they're a store that caters to big moments for people. That said the staff was very unhelpful, when I approached one lady to assist me with certain items she seemed frustrated that I was interrupting her personal conversation with another employee. My daughter ended up finding the dress she wanted, but when we went to pay they didn't have a hanging bag for her dress and suggested I just walk out with it or fold it on a bag. Mind you, she asked me if I wanted a hanging bag, so she had to of thought they had them. But when they weren't there she didn't even offer to look if they had some, anywhere else. Lastly (this is the part that was very unprofessional). After we paid and starting walking out the security buzzer went off, nobody stopped us, so I went back in and said "hey I think the tag might still be on here" At this point the same girl who looked frustrated that I interrupted her conversation looked at me and pointed to the security buzzer but shushed me out. Indicating to me, that I was good to go. Luckily I checked the dress when I got back to my car and sure enough, the security tag was still attached. I walked back in and the frustrated girl was sitting at the table where you walk in. When I walked in I said the tag was still on. Again she said NOTHING and just pointed me to the register. After having the tag removed I walked out, and this same girl said nothing, even I after I brought this to her attention. Honestly just bad customer service. She brought me out 5-6 different dresses she thought best fit the energy I described to her. After I tired on a few she got a better idea of what I liked and picked me out on perfectly and got me a great deal under 1000 for a HUGE dress. First, I would like to say if I can give this place ZERO STARS I would. Oh, and that I'm pregnant . Now for my horrible experience getting a wedding dress- I made an appt, came in and while I was trying on dresses the lady informed me that I only had an hour to try anything on and that it would give me time to try on two dresses. Which they never disclosed before hand. Luckily I found a dress I liked and it was on sale for $600 (what a freakin deal Right?! Wrong keep reading) I get a text stating my dress was ready a week before I was suppose to get it. I come in and I live about an hour and a half away.. IT WAS THE WRONG DRESS. I kept it cool because they promised they would have the correct dress ordered in time for my alterations appt next week AND that I would have my alterations waived. (Should have gotten it in writing but I expected the manager to do her job & not mess up again) Next week comes, I call ahead of time to make sure the correct dress was ordered. I came in and they had the dress IN THE WRONG SIZE.. (what in the actual F) They assured me everything would be ok since they can alter the dress to the correct size. After the alterations were done (after an hour or longer) the lady writes up how much they're going to charge me $700... UMMM WHAT?! I was promised for the alterations to be waived. I spoke with a manager and calmly explained the situation and everything I went through. All she told me is that they were going to waive the size difference of the alterations.. I tried explaining to her that the wrong dress was ordered and that's when the alterations were waived and that the alterations weren't waived because of the size difference of the second time of THEM messing up. She sat there and pretty much said they were changing the price... I then said what if I just get a refund since they've wasted my time. She then proceeded to tell me I'm "outside my window for a refund". Tf?! Outside my window for a refund for a dress I never received in the first place?! I was in shock how they were treating me and the situation. I left - called my fiancé and bawled my eyes out. He then called and told them there stressing me out I'm 5months pregnant and we need our money back. I went back to get my refund.. No kind of apology and the lady looked upset and didn5 say a word to me. I am very disappointed in this place of how they treat woman , don't fix their mistakes and didn't want to give me my money back. I'm also disappointed that they say their dresses are discounted then charge more for their alterations. I had to go to a different store last minute (a month before my wedding) to get a new dress. Thank God I made a second alterations appt at another place so I was able to have a dress for my big day. Although, I didn't choose my wedding dress from here, I had such a great experience coming into try on some dresses. I was worried about coming in because of all the negative reviews but Tyler definitely made it fun. She's so sweet and helpful. I was FaceTiming my best friend since she couldn't be there in person and Tyler basically took the ropes and showed her through my phone of all the details in the dresses that I tried on. Sadly I need to change my previous great review to a horrible one! While Hannah was excellent in helping me get the dress, others in the store are not so great. I have anxiety, and mentioned that when I went to the store to change a color of a bridesmaid dress. The girl at the counter laughed at me. She then said " let's hurry and get you out of here before you have an anxiety attack". Then she said " do you want me to give you the receipt or will that give you anxiety too?" I don't find it funny, necessary, or professional to make fun of clients. If they would accept returns I would return everything I purchased there and start over somewhere else. But I'm stuck now, I just can't wait to pick up my stuff and never deal with them again. read more

My girlfriend ordered a dress three weeks before the event and they told us that they would have it on the 18th. She calls on the 18th and they say "it won't be here until the 23rd", so she calls back on the 23rd and they tell her "it's here but hasn't been taken off the truck yet so please call back tomorrow". She called back today and guess what...they now tell her that the dress won't be delivered until The 2nd of next month, the only problem is that the event is on the 28th of this month. Their solution is that she can get one that is one size smaller and buy Spanx to wear underneath. So let's break this down. 1. They tell her they will have the dress 10 days before the event but don't deliver. 2. I should purchase from them a $60 undergarment because they are incompetent and can't deliver on their promises. 3. There is no refunds on dresses even ones that you don't actually receive. I can't put into words how unprofessional these people are. If I was getting married and they pulled this I would go postal. Buy your dress anywhere other than here. You will be happier getting it from Goodwill at least their employees won't lie to your face. *Update: we went into David's Bridal this evening and the "manager on duty" basically told me it was our fault that we didn't know that their employees don't know how to read notes or to look in the back for the dress. She said they overnighted the dress from another location yesterday and it should be in the back. She disappeared for 10-15 mins and then reappeared to say the dress would be in Monday. Since not one employee ever returned a phone call to my girlfriend I don't know how we were supposed to know that it was ordered or how we are supposed to know what is on their computer screen. I went in today for the first time since I got engaged. And had a BLAST! I found and took home my perfect dress, as well as found the perfect colors and dress styles for my bridesmaids! Shante was my consultant and she was amazingly helpful! I totally loved how willing all of the girls who work there are, and it was all super friendly service! Even though Shante was overbooked, I didn't feel left out. I got time to move around and play in dresses, and I liked being able to hear all of my "entourage's" opinions on each dress. She is very dedicated to her job and I love that I will be able to come in with any questions directly to the same people I talked to today. The below comment is the kind of response I expected from a company such as David Bridal. This was in response to my review of the "Be sure to check the hem line of your dresses when you purchase them at this Tacoma store location. They are selling used dresses as new and you can tell that it is used by the dirty hem line. The dress I purchased had been worn". I was provided a 20% discount even though it was used, with the promise of them cleaning the dress. After a couple of weeks, they said the dress was cleaned & ready for pickup. I picked up the dress and none of the stains were cleaned. I had to tell them that the cleaning job had not been done. That is why I asked for an additional percent off the used dress, but they declined. The treatment I was given was appalling. It's all fine until something goes wrong. I really enjoyed my time at the southcenter store, but...Tacoma, different story. I called the store to ask if they could steam my dress, since it was purchased there. They said yes bring it in ect ect...So I make the trek to Tacoma walk in the door then was hit with NO we won't steam it because it was altered elsewhere. So iam Standing there with a $2000 dress looking dumb trying to explain the part that needs to be steamed was not altered at all. But she continued to tell me no and try a dry cleaners but be careful because it's delicate. No referral nothing. This was never mentioned when I bought the dress they actually told me to bring it in 2 weeks before to have it steamed. I called to double check and get the go ahead then Hit with a road block. I was told I should be expected a phone call and then told them a few days later I never received one and they said "they've been trying to contact me via phone but have not been successful" and I called straight bullish!t and I 100% know they have the right number on file because they have called me before in regards to my dress. If i could give zero starts I would. Horrible experience; the sales people are friendly enough. However do not believe them when they say they are "size inclusive" the sales people will promise that alterations can be made when they really cannot. They have zero knowledge of the plus size body. They also charge for alterations they didn't do. In addition they will shit talk about customers who call in and complain. We heard them talking about and making fun of someone who called to complain about their alterations or lack there of. DO NOT take your dress home and sign the alteration paper work if you are not happy. Do not let them pressure you into just accepting it. Once you walk out the door that make it very difficult to make things right or get your money back. It's a week before we leave for my sister's wedding and we are still fighting for them to get her dress right. If you're a plus size person I highly recommend you looking elsewhere. Maybe a local bridal boutique or even online and find a local seamstress to make alterations. read more

Beware of the Fitting Prices! When I initially bought my bridesmaids dress, I was encouraged to buy a size up and get it fitted perfectly. When I asked how much a fitting like that costs, I was quoted "about $60". I set an appointment for 2 weeks later. After spending an hour getting fitted, they brought out the price sheet: $60 for hem, $55 for fitting the bodice & arm holes, $45 for tapering the bodice into the skirt... in total: $190! After I kindly explained the problem, the manager offered no help except to pull out all the pins (all that time down the drain!) and hand me back my dress. (No discounts or coupons for fittings either.) Call around before you agree to a fitting at David's Bridal, you can get a way better price! read more

First of all the alterations department rocks! However, the consultant, who sold us our daughter's wedding dress over one year ago really screwed us. She ordered the dress in a size 20 and her actual size is 14. But we had no idea. We were going by what the consultant was telling us, which was her breasts were large and that it is best to "go bigger". She said that "you can always make it smaller, but you cannot make it bigger". I asked what alterations run in cost and she said "about $200 - $250". I thought "ok", I can totally afford that. Um no! Not even close. And she knew we were on a budget too. Try about $800!!!! Thank goodness she is no longer working there. I was in absolute shock. My daughter and I were literally crying. I was not sure what we were going to do. But Serene rose to the occasion and found the exact same dress in the correct size. She made sure that it would be delivered in time for her wedding date with time allowed for minor alterations (hem and bustle), which it did. Serene is our hero! Thank goodness for Serene!!! Made an appointment for 3:00 and consultant didnt greet us until 3:30. They gave no direction other than to "look at dresses and pick ones you like" while waiting my group ended up getting yelled at for touching the dresses and told to only take pictures of the tags. Showed the consultant pictures of the tags and she said she would grab some and bring them to the dressing room. Turns out the ones we were looking at were clearance dresses since we were given zero direction as to what was what. When asked about my budget, I told her my father was going to buy my dress (he couldnt be there that day) and she was very insistent about making sure I had a way to pay THAT day. I understand wanting to make a sale, but she was SO pushy even asking if he could "wire me money when I found my dress." She only brought one dress I had picked out and the other two were ones she picked for me. First of all I said no long sleeves and no strapless. Of the two she brought, one was strapless and one was long sleeve. Second, I asked if they had any other dresses and was told there is nothing else she can bring me and these THREE dresses were my only options. C'mon this is David's Bridal, you have much more than just three dresses. While trying on dresses, our consultant left and was helping another group so my friend had to help me get in and out of dresses. The few times the consultant actually came to check on us, she was extremely rude and didn't seem like she wanted to help us. Seems like they overbooked themselves and our group wasnt as important as the other group she was helping. When we were nearing the end, she brought over the "i found the one" sign to hold, when I hadn't even mentioned if I wanted to purchase a dress, which I didnt. Overall it was a terrible experience and I could not recommend this location less. If I could give zero stars I would. I wasnt going to even write a review but I ended up going to another David's Bridal location and got excellent, amazing service and found my dress. I dont want other brides to have to experience what I had to go through. I understand wanting to make a sale but with the way I and the people I brought with me were treated there was no way I was going to walk away with a dress that day. Went dress shopping for my wedding without any intentions on walking out with THE one. Worked with a fantastic stylist named Alexis, who not only listened to what I did and didnt like. But! She also brought me things I hadn't pointed out because I was so unsure of what I did like. She brought out dresses my mom had identified as wanting me to try on, different hues, etc. They were all absolutely lovely dresses, some just not for me. It was a lovely experience and she even cried with me when we finally identified THE one for me. While my experience with Iris was fantastic, I found out that the dress I chose for my bridesmaids at my appointment on October 13 is now being discontinued, I wish I was made aware of this at my appointment before trying to have my other 2 bridesmaids get the dress. While I called yesterday and was made aware of this information by Nicole, it should have been made clear before the 2 dresses were ordered and paid in full the day of our appointment. Worst experience of my life. They overcharge you, are rude and said that I had a tummy due to kids and that a slip was necessary for it. This place sucks. Don't go. When in walked in tonight to pick up my dress I was 20 min early. I asked the front for my dress to try on as I wasn't having alterations on my dress. the front desk lady very rudely said, "you can't wait 10 min for your appointment with alterations?" this already put me in a bad mood and made me feel defensive. Why did I need to wait for a dress I wasn't having altered. I was picking it up. Then....it just gets worse. When I bought my dress I was 5-6 weeks out from my wedding. My dress was being shipped in from Spokane and so it wouldn't be there until the 19th still more than a month out from my wedding. I wasn't getting any alterations on my dress but on my coverlet which I got on the 9th. I needed ribbon put on the bottom but my appointment wasn't set until 3.5 weeks to my wedding. Because of that I needed to have my alterations rushed and they charged me extra. Well, if I would have known that I would have scheduled my alteration earlier. Then, I could have gone down a size but they didn't tell me that, and they charged me for an additional alteration. Yet, they wouldn't let me order the size down because they didn't think it would fit. Not their choice one bit. Finally I called Nordstrom, who knows how to treat their customers. and they were able to get me in for an alteration and charge way less and would have my simple alteration back to me before David's said they could. My advice- go to a cheap store? Get cheap service. I will say however, Hannah was the competent person at the Tacoma store. read more

PLUS SIZE FRIENDLY!!!! My sister and I went in to check out bridesmaid dresses, and I was firm on the fact that I wasn't going to try on any wedding gowns just yet. I am working on losing weight. I didn't want to discourage my progress by trying on gowns and seeing how big I am in dresses that didn't fit anyway. I have lost over 30 pounds but I still have a long way to go to hit my personal goal. ANYWAY, my sister tried on multiple dresses and a gal that worked there kept bringing us options to try that closer met our needs and wants. My sister got bored after about 8 dresses, and we decided to just look at bridal gowns before we left, to see what was there within my budget and maybe pick one to set as a "try-on goal". The place was basically empty at this point, and the gal who has been helping us was basically "one of the girls" now. Her name is Kira and she is tall and thin, so with my anxiety about my weight, I didn't expect to form much of a connection with her but I was completely wrong. Kira was pointing out dresses that she liked while my sister did the same. It was a very low pressure interaction to basically fill some time when, out of no where, Kira pulled a dress off the rack to point out the overlay and how it matched my specifications about having a closed hem and lace. It was GORGEOUS. I made a light hearted, self depricating comment about how pretty things don't come in my size (20). Kira gave me a supportive smile and told me "stop that! We can order this one in other sizes". She walked off and came back with a plus size version of the gown that they had in store and I was surprised, honestly. It didn't look like a bed sheet!! AND IT WAS MY SIZE!!! I broke my rule and tried it on. I had that "cry when you see yourself in the mirror" moment. I fell in absolute love with this gown and Kira accessorized it with a veil and different sashes. I haven't felt that beautiful in a gown since before I had children, and Kira didn't pressure for a sale. In fact, she brought me a couple different dresses in my size with a similar silhouette to try, just to make sure I truly loved the one I was in. Some people may say Kira is a good saleswoman and "tricked" me into a sale, but those people simply don't get it. Kira was a FRIEND to a customer who felt too fat to be beautiful in a wedding gown. Being a plus size bride is HARD. "We don't carry your size" is about the most heartbreaking thing to hear from dress store employees, and I have definitely heard it. Even when they do have your size, it is intimidating to try on a dress to wear for the best day of your life when you know your body is not where you want it to be. Kira it's more than a saleswoman. She is a wonderful person who has compassion, understanding, and finds joy in helping people to see themselves as beautiful, no matter what size they wear. For crying out loud, your significant other is marrying YOU exactly as you are. He or she loves you, and it's not like they will see you in your gown and be surprised that you aren't a size 2. David's bridal was my second choice to a smaller boutique style store in Tacoma. I thought the boutique would have more unique dresses and my experience would be more personalized. I was WRONG! The boutique store only gave me 5-6 dress options and I felt pressured to make a decision. I wasn't able to look through dresses, as they were all kept in back. From the moment I stepped I to David's bridal in Tacoma & met Shante I felt special and like she was there to help me find my perfect dress! I had SO much fun walking around "shopping" and never felt rushed or pressured to purchase. I was able to try on as many dresses as I wanted until the "one" was found. The dress I decided on was half the price of the other place and so much prettier & even a better quality! I was also able to set up a 6 month same as cash option, where at the "other place" wanted 60% down right away! :/ I'm so glad I gave David's bridal a chance... This place is good for affordable wedding dresses. The service however is lacking. You get what you pay for. I accompanied my friend here for her wedding dress shopping. The ladies rushed her through each dress and when my friend had trouble deciding between two dresses, the lady appeared annoyed. There are over 30 fitting rooms here so I think they try to turnover clients as quickly as possible. I do recommend getting the earliest appointment in the morning. By the time noon rolled around, the place was a zoo. If you can, try a local full-service boutique. They will help you in and out of the dress, clip on the dress so you can envision how it fits, and pop champagne when you say yes to the dress. read more

Hello Brides! After a horrible experience at Alfred Angelo, I came here with my family and close friends. Tawnee, bridal consultant extraordinaire pulled some dresses for me and I think I fell in love with the 3rd or 4th one. My bridesmaids and mother purchased their dresses there as well, all turned out fantastic. I was a bit nervous, the first time I was fitted after alterations, my dress mysteriously didn't fit. However, I made another appointment with Linda and she got me into it no problem! The day of the wedding was perfect and my dress turned out better than I would have ever imagined. The down side of this place is definitely the fact that they allow small children as well as large families. Definitely detracts from the experience! read more

I went to find shoes for my wedding since my fitting was coming up. After finding the pair I wanted, the employee went back to grab me a "pair that hadn't been worn before". The shoes were packaged up with bands around the box so I didn't bother to double check and trusted she had grabbed the correct ones. I drove all the way home, opened the box only to find I'd been given the completely wrong pair of shoes. I called back and asked that they put the correct pair and size aside. They said they would. I come back first thing the next morning, and they said they did not have them set aside (they had put aside the wrong size). The employee went with me to look in the shoe area and said my size was still not there. I went back to double check and after some digging found the pair of shoes I had wanted in the correct size. I returned the first pair and bought the second pair for full price. No apologies, discounts, nothing. Not only was I given the wrong pair, but they proceeded to not set aside the right size and to not look very hard to find the correct pair of shoes. Better off going literally anywhere else. Don't waste your time like I did mine. read more
