Great service for all your bike needs. They have plenty of items in stock. I just wish they were open on Monday. Most are.

I called the shop to ask if they could look at the loose head set on my bicycle (handlebars). The woman on the phone specifically told me to wait and bring it on Tuesday when the tech would be there. On Tuesday, I loaded up my bike and drove it down to the shop. After being completely ignored for five minutes by the woman and a man, that seemed to be the tech? I finally asked if the tech was around to look at the bicycle that we brought in. The woman then asked us what brand it was, when she found out it wasn't a Treck. She told us they wouldn't look at it. She didn't say it in a nice way. She was very, very abrasive, and quite frankly seemed annoyed that we were in her shop. I mentioned to her that another woman told me to bring the bike in and mentioned nothing about the Bike having to be the Treck brand. Her response was "that wasn't me ". She could not have cared less. Terrible experience for our first time being in the shop. Needless to say, we will never be back. We're in the market for new bicycles, and will not be purchasing at this shop. Customer service is everything... And this shop lacks! There are other bicycle shops in town. I just can't imagine that this attitude is good for business. Both my husband and I were shocked on how we were treated. read more

I put at least 6 to 8K miles on my bike every year. All I can say is that I have the staff take care of my 22 year old bike and it cycles like new. Wonderful staff and mechanics know what they are doing. Above all, I have found them to be honest andnot try to push services or work on my bike that I didn't need. I highly recommend David's World Cycle. My previous review of this shop was when it was named Suncoast Cycles. read more

I just had a horrific experience at David's World Cycle in Inverness, Florida. I flew in yesterday from Michigan and assemble my bike. It had a front disc rotor problem and I took it to David's World for repair. The technican was unable to solve the problem and suggested I needed a new unit. He told me to come in the next morning at 8:30 and the manager would help me. Today, I came to David's World at 8:30 and the manager told me to come back at 9 and I could leave there for 2-3 weeks before she could take I look at it. I'm down here for 8 days to ride so that will not work for me. I'm sitting in my car when I see the technician leaving the store. I go to speak to him and he says "you just got me fired, please do not talk to me." THIS MANAGER FIRED A TECH BECAUSE HE TRIED TO HELP A PERSON IN NEED. This is so wrong in so many ways. But most of all I am so sorry for the tech who has lost his job. read more

I have been dealing with Ashley and crew for well over a year. My fiance and myself have purchased three bikes total. Two have been Catrike Dumonts and Trek carbon. Outstanding service and extremely accommodating along with being very helpful. Even with fitting and after the sale help, she has always been there to help and suggest. I have an older beach cruiser that I love! I had 3 broken spokes that needed to be replaced. I took it to another UN-named repair shop not even a mile from this shop and was quoted an astronomical price to "replace my entire back wheel" only. We are talking way over the cost at Trek. Happily got a call this morning and low and behold, these folks are HONEST!! For a lot less money, complete service on my bike, 2 new tires, a new chain and 3 spokes. Thank you Trek for being honest. We were on vacation and my bicycle's rear gear cassette came off the axle while riding around Fort Wilderness. This was the closest bike shop, so I called this location. Joe said to bring it in, and that it would be an easy repair. We were in and out within 15 minutes. Joe and the rest of the staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommend. read more

These guys are all super nice and knowledgable -- Jude, Mark, Ashley, and Jack. I've dealt with them all. I bought the Catrike Dumont with a bunch of accessories today. Can't wait to get it next Friday, hopefully. I highly recommend this store. I originally went to the other bike store in town when I hobbled in with a gout attack in my knee. When the lady told me to bring my bicycle into the store for the repairs I was asking about, I left immediately and went to David's World Cycle where I received much better service. read more

This is a nice bike shop not far removed from the Historic Inverness Square. They have a limited showroom, but good inventory to choose from, and apparently, they offer bike rentals too. Next time I'm in town, I'm going to check into the rental situation. They also have a decent repair shop, and that was the purpose for this visit: My father in law has a vintage three speed bike (Raleigh) which needed a new front tire. Without looking at the tire size, I ran down to Wally-World (Walmart) and picked up a 26" tire I thought would fit the rim. Of course, the tire I purchased didn't fit - but I didn't realize it until I got it stuck on the rim (and I mean REALLY STUCK). I couldn't get it back off! I drove the rim and tire down to Suncoast Bicycles. The mechanic dropped what he was doing, cut the wrong sized tire off the rim, replaced the tire with a proper size - which he happened to have in stock, and mounted it, all for little more than $20. Frankly, he saved the day. My father in law wouldn't have let me live it down if he had seen the mess I'd made of the first tire! Thanks Suncoast! read more

My husband and I rented a trike from this shop earlier in the week, and then I bought a Townie bicycle there yesterday. Both experiences were great. The rentals were a blast, but the price tag of the trikes and the face that my husband already had a bike, helped us decide to purchase a bike for me. Maybe later we will splurge on trikes. My husband and I visited the main 3 bicycle shops in Citrus County. They were all very nice, professional and knowledgeable. I would have felt comfortable purchasing a bike from any of them. The Townie just felt the best to me, so we bought one from David's. The man that helped us, Jude, was fantastic. No pressure, and tons of helpful information. He was super patient and worked really hard to get everything on the bike adjusted for me, and I really appreciated that. I would highly recommend them. read more

Ashley was simply amazing! I was staying in Weeki Wachee but no one rented bikes for trail riding there. I called David's World Cycle and Ashley was a delight on the phone and said bike rental was available. I drove 40 minutes to arrive to her cheerful smile and she talked me into renting a recumbent bike. I had always wanted to try one so this was perfect! She spent extra time with me getting the right bike fit then adjusting the one I choose. I had the MOST amazing ride on the Withlacoochee Trail. Both staff members I encountered were great -- very friendly and took the time to make sure I was fitted correctly for my bike rental and also offered advice on where to head on the rail trail. Think twice about taking a bike at this place for service. The prices for service are high and the quality of the work is suspect. I had to take a bike back twice for what should have been easy adjustments. The manager said that she would give me store credit for the inconvenience, but then conveniently forgot about it. I'll look for another shop. read more
