First America Homes builds beautiful homes with really pretty modern touches inside. The kitchens…read moreare spacious and nicely finished. The tray ceilings are a bougie touch. We love the large extra upstairs flex spaces they always put in their homes.

We have made numerous warranty claims and keep getting the runaround with bandaid type fixes attempted. Very disappointing given we were sold that this builder is better than say a D. .ORTON or a L..nar or one of those builders. I owned a Horton home and when we made warranty claims they addressed them promptly and took care of the problem. These guys try to pass the buck off and will not take ownership of the issues. We have lost vacation days, wages, and more due to the times they have come by to "assess" the issue. They have since stopped using this flawed design on their new builds because of the known issues. I have gotten together with my other neighbors and have discovered they have similar issues along with a myriad of other issues. I was told the fiberglass pieces and how they fit are within tolerance which is untrue given the numerous times we have been told by plumbers, glass people, and others they have brought in to assess the issues. I have attached photos and I ask you to judge if this would be within your tolerance as a home buyer. Glass is leaking, water is still coming out of the sides even though they keep attempting to caulk everything as a bandaid solution. Pan and fiberglass is not set right. The easy solution would be for them would be to rip the shower out and tile it like the new builds going up. They have the material on site and the workers already here! Contact me via email and I will be posting on Facebook and other social media platforms if you have questions as a potential buyer and I will let you see the "craftsmanship" for yourself and introduce you to my neighbors as well. Look at the pics and judge for yourself.

Update 3: as of today April 13 2025, i have not been contacted by anyone from the Davidson Homes…read moreTeam. Even though I email their "customer care" email, no one has reached out to settle my issues. To the contraire, they ignored all my communications. The worst experience without a doubt I jave had woth a home developer and we bought a house with no longer existent builder Armadillo Homes ( Now known as View Homes). If you are reading for the forst time and are considering buying from Davidson Homes don't do it. They breached our contract and never gave another to signed, we had multiple delays in construction, the vendor Mes. Cardenas lied about our options, just wanted to sell the house without taking into account our needs. They offered us extra construction and after we paid the earnest money they told us it was error Update 2: As of 1041 , I jave not received any communications from Davidson Homes. I guess they dont care what customer think about them. After all is a multi million dollar bussiness against a Military Disabled Veteran. That said, Im please to anounce I just closed my home with a real builder, one that will go above and beyond to ensure customers get what they pay, Im talking about David Weekeley. From say 1, they took care of us and never left us. More importantly, they did not lie once to sell us the house. Everything they said was going to be it was, from the style deaign center, etc. A true real state behemoth. If you are in the market for a home, look no further than David Weekeley. You will love it. Highly recommended. Look for my review in a couple of days. Update 1: I was contacted by customercare@davidsonhomes.com asking about the review. As of today, I have not received a response to my email. Be aware of doing business with them. If you want to waste your time and money, they are professionals. I will give it no star if I could. This is no way to treat your customers. Buyers be aware, ensure you get everything they "promise" in writing. Especially if the seller tells you "Don't worry, if you cancel we will gave the earnest money back". On July 10th 2024, my wife and I signed a contract to buy a house from Davidson Homes in Castroville Texas. On that day, we put down $5,000 for the earnest money as it was required by the builder. On July 15th 2024, we were contacted by our vendor representative Lauren Cardenas. Mrs. Cardenas stated that an option we requested for the home (media room on second story) cannot be build and that she made a mistake when offered to us for $2,000 upgrade fee. I promptly ask Mrs. Cardenas that we were very disappointed about the issue and she offered a free water softener instead. I also ask her if we needed to sign a new contract to what she said and I quote" No need, we probably be able to sign it after the design center appointment". Fast forward four weeks, we have the first of 2 design center appointments. During that appointment we noticed that many of the features offered by the builder were not available and the ones we were told were part of the deal wasn't. I contacted the builder and told the that we were told a lie for what they say and I quote "No problem Sir, we can work something out". Immediately my wife and I left the design center and halt the home design process until we can figure out the issue. After many conversations, back and forth with the builder we decided that the contract we signed was not been honored and that we will pull out of the deal. I drafted a letter telling the builder that they were not holding their end of the deal and that we were not going to continue with buying. They inform me that it was fine and in order to return my earnest mony, I needed to signed a document. After four months waiting for my money, I received an email from Vincent Rojas (some mid-manager) stating that they have decided not to return our money. Mr. Rojas never stated the why they made that decision, instead he just told me and I quote "Because we can". I just don't want this home builder to take advantage of this 22 year career Military Veteran. Update 4: Merry Christmas San Antonio and near areas. Just a friendly reminder that if you looking to build or buy a new Home in the San Antonio area, please do not consider Davidson Homes. They are the worst builders I ever have to dealt with. They will lie and tell you all you want to hear but when you figures them out they will retaliate lying to your face and taking you hard earned money. Do not consider them, Don't let them steal your money. That's all, just wanted to make you aware of this thieves that took 5000 dollars from me, a 22 year Veteran. Don't do business with them.
