I've been using DaVinci Nails for years and they are by far my favorite place to go for a pedicure. Every two weeks I go for my mani/pedi. The shoulder massage with the pedicure is top notch. Jasmine does a phenomenal job with nails, shaping and doing creative designs. However, since Jasmine has stopped doing my nails (I do not personally request her) the quality of my nails has drastically gone down. I'll leave and find an air bubble or an area where the powder stuck to where my cuticle should be. Nothing major just little things that bring down the quality. I never said anything bc I get my nails done so regularly and truly it's only noticeable to myself because you have to look close at the nail. Once again, I loved the pedicures and it was worth the tiny imperfections. However, I will NEVER go back to this salon, and here's why. Because I go to this salon every two weeks and spend $100+ every two weeks my mom went to this salon before a wedding. She showed a picture of what she wanted, they did it. She asked about the difference between dip and color powder they said they are the same as far as damage (this is not true- neither are good for your nails but the dip is better and this salon had a sign on their door promoting dip as the healthier option) the person proceeds to use color powder. My mom goes back yesterday to get the color changed to a pink because she is going on a trip and the tech does it but you can see the previous color underneath. The tech didn't say anything, didn't consult before starting, never talked to her through the process (me every two weeks, if I try to do something that doesn't work someone tells me- why is it different for my mom? Bc she's not a regular??). Today my mom goes back to see what can be done, she's told they can file down her real nail underneath, or she can pay for a new set, that's what happens with color powder. No apologies, no let me fix this for you, no I'm so sorry. This is unacceptable. You should treat your clients like they are not nail tech experts and check in with them to make sure they are going to be happy with the end result. Light color powder CANNOT go on top of dark powder... that never works nails 101- but for a client that doesn't get their nails done they do not know, it is your job as the business to explain things. To the salon owner: their is no need to reply to this message with the same cookie cutter message you've put on your other complaints. You should be sorry to see me go ($100+ pre tip every two weeks you do the math) I was loyal to you and you did not take care of my family. If you were actually sorry you would have fixed my moms nails at no cost today when she went in. Katy has 101 nail salons and how you treat your customers matter- you can't brush a complaint off because they aren't a regular client. read more

have been going for a few years now and they have the best prices for the work they do. i always leave here happy with how my dip nails and polished toes look. anytime i've gone anywhere else i'm super disappointed because i got so used to the prices being lower than most and the work being done so well. read more

If you're looking for the cheapest nail salon in Katy, this isn't it. However, I'd been to a lot of them prior to finding this place, and in my opinion, it is the best. I go every few weeks for a mani, pedi and eyebrow wax. The decor is top notch and the staff is very nice. Their honey lemon pedicure is awesome. The place is very clean. This was the worst experience I've ever had. I went for a birthday spa day and never made it beyond the rude woman at the front desk. I told her I saw a coupon but didn't want to go home to get it would she honor a picture showing the address on my ID. She agreed and then walked away in the back sending another lady up there. I finally got the picture and she wouldn't accept it because I didn't have it. She yelled and walked in the back as if I was not there. I wouldn't spend a dime in this place! I liked this place. All the girls were friendly. It definitely is your typical Asian nail salon as far as the conversation goes. In agreeing with a previous review, and Tham was very nice, very conversational. I didn't have her though, the lady next to me did. Tina did my shellac mani, and did well. And Q, (yes, that's her name) did my pedi. Nothing uber special but this place does not deserve a 1 and 2 star reviews. My 2 cents: treat people how you wanna be treated. I absolutely love this place! The location is conveniently right off of the highway next to the Whole Foods market. The interior design of the shop is very luxurious and clean. All of the pedicure spa chairs are brand new, and they always use a fresh liner in the tub area for your feet, so you don't have to worry about contamination. The ladies are always very polite and courteous, and as soon as you are seated they offer a complimentary beverage of water, soda, or even wine for those that really need some TLC. I got the Ultimate Manicure and Ultimate Spa Pedicure from Kelly and Leanne. Both did a fantastic job, never hurt me, and the upper body and shoulder massage from Kelly was amazing! There are so many nail salons along Grand Parkway now and I've tried them all, but I really, really like this one the best. The salon is so clean and relaxing and the ladies who work there are extremely accommodating and do an excellent job. My shellac manicure still looks perfect almost two weeks later. read more

I wanted to make this place my go to nail salon but I was disappointed each time I went. This last time I went, I took my 4 year old daughter with me for some mommy and me time. They got to work on us but completely rushed through my daughter's service and half assed their service on me. My paint had bubbles in it and my nail shape came out all crooked dispite me telling the tech multiple times to fix it. I don't mind paying good money if they take their time and provide good service but this salon didn't give a crap about their customer service. If you choose to come here, expect to pay a whole lot of money for a rushed half ass job. read more

Just echoing what everyone else has said - this is a beautiful spa with horrendous and over-priced service. I was charged $90 for a leg wax - most expensive leg wax I have ever had (I come from London, England so that is really saying something!) and not to mention THE absolute worst leg I have ever had (big patches of hair left and terribly slow). Also, my nails all chipped within 2 days despite having asked for gels that don't ever chip. Staff shouted round the place in Vietnamese and were generally disgruntled and rude. I never have to wait and I primarily go on Fridays and Saturdays. I've been coming here for over a year and the pedicures are consistent every time. This is my new nail place! I love this salon. My mom and I get our nails done twice a month and we wanted to try this place because we heard they are really clean. They did not disappoint. The pedicures were very clean, with protective covering. The manicure was the most precise manicure I have ever received. The decor is warm and relaxed. Not like a typical nail salon. The facility itself was beautiful with a relaxing atmosphere. Like other reviewers mentioned, I liked the fact that there were no TVs blaring. However, the staff was rude and unwelcoming. No drinks offered, when they clearly had wine etc available. Pedicure was overpriced, painful (she was incessantly digging around my toenails), and brief (very short, weak massage). Finally, when paying the person at the desk gave my a hard time about paying with American Express. Said that they took it but would prefer if I used something else. Really? How unprofessional. The quality of the paint job on my toes was disappointing, too. I stayed for enough time after the pedicure and left on the little foam flip flops for an hour, yet my nails smudged when I put flats on HOURS later. I will NOT be going back. read more

Well I had a gift certificate here, and I read all the reviews prior to going, so I was a little apprehensive. I personally had a good experience. The spa is very very pretty inside and a chairs even massage your bum, that was new :) They serve wine and there is no blaring reality tv on ( sorry ladies, I know sometimes that's part of the fun, but it was so calm and nice). I did however sit down next to a girl who was very unhappy because she couldn't use her coupon on her already discounted rate...I didn't get it, but man she was mad. My toes look lovely and I enjoyed myself. I rarely get pedicures, so maybe if you get them all the time you start to get über picky about these kinds of places, but in my opinion it was good and I liked it. Oh! I've been here several times and have loved each experience.....so has my daughter. Staff was very courteous and polite and the work was perfect. We love it. Offering us a drink was very special and so relaxing. We've both been to many mani/pedi places in the Katy area and this is the BEST. And they use a plastic, disposable liner in the soaking tub so there is no contamination from other users. I've always had a concern that the tub wasn't properly cleaned so now that worry is gone. First time here and only because my first two places were busy. I know realize I should've just waited. I'm all about first impressions and I feel like the manager..Jasmine Le..was very rude and I didn't care too much for Cindy either. Cindy did my pedi and was also very rude as well. They never offered me anything to drink and it was like you had to ask for everything. I also saw a friend I knew there & she said the exact same thing. I can't explain everything in detail but they just weren't nice at all. No tips and I will not be back! Don't believe the hype! I'm sitting here writing my first Yelp review on their wifi as we speak. I did leave a tip for the manager..be nice to ALL your customers. I stopped in for the first time yesterday on my way to a dental appointment for a quick manicure. The lady at the front desk seemed to be in a rush and when I asked how long a manicure would take she didn't seem to know the answer. Then, quickly walked out of the front door when I signed in. I decided to stay because to be frank I wasn't looking forward to going to the dentist anyway. When the manicurist came and got me she was very sweet and soft spoken. (I want to say her name was Tam, or sounded like Tam). I loved the inside, it was very classy for a girl in sweats (I probably looked out of place). I liked how the colors were brought to me instead of having to pick up the polish myself, it was actually easier to compare them. I really enjoyed my manicure, Tam talked to me and didn't engage in gossip with coworkers while I was there, I know the women reading this know what I'm talking about. During, my manicure I felt she made me her priority. There was only classical music playing, at the time of my manicure it was Bach which is very relaxing even if it at times reminds people of "The Silence of the Lambs." I sort of missed the gossip magazines but not TVs. However, Tam was so fun to talk to it didn't really matter until my nails were drying. The pricing is fair and competitive with the other nail places in the area. I would go back. read more

Awful experience, Did nothing they advertised, used reused equipment on my pedi, a hand held cheese grater and they rinsed it in my spa water I was soaking my feet in, dried it and put it back in her bag. They advertised sanitary and individual disposable kits for each customer, and that did not happen. Owner could care less as I sent him an email and has not gotten back even with an apology. Techs were not personable AT ALL. Spoke to each other the whole time and laughed and had no idea what they were saying. A pretty place does not a good nail place make and this is a very poor Nail place. Oh and the worse, I spent a hundred dollars on eye lash extensions and they all fell out in two days and they would do nothing about it. read more

It's difficult for me to trust a nail salon as a few of the many do not follow a great hygiene system. I was more than pleased when I first stepped into this location 1.5yrs ago. As you come in you are immediately welcomed by Jasmine by name or by many of the other wonderful girls. For the large number of customer that they receive daily, that makes you feel like family. They have a great amount of aestheticians/nail technicians always so wait time it's always kept to the minimum. They are all very polite and professional. They maintain their work area very clean and nail tools seem to be always clean/disinfected and in small bags as if they have been steam clean. They always put a bag over their pedicure station which lowers the risk of coming out with more then a pedicure. I have not had the pleasure to be serviced by all the ladies as I tend to stick with the ones I'm first assigned to. So, for recommendations my fav's so far are Jasmine for mani, Phoebe for mani and now Kelly for both. But any of the girls will leave you feeling more relax and more beautiful then as you came in. Went here with a friend during lunch time and they were really busy so we made an appointment to come back later that day and told the lady at the front desk we wanted the deal for the shellac and pedicure which was supposed up be $40. The lady wrote this down on our appointment time slot next to our names. When we came back, they were expecting us so I had assumed they looked at the appt book. We sat down and they did our pedicures first then out manicures. Mine turned out ok.The lady brought me my ticket and it said $62 so I told her about the deal and she told me that they couldn't honor it bc I didn't tell her before she started working in my toes. I let her know that we in fact did tell someone and that it was stated clearly in the appt book. After going back and forth, they told us they would only charge us $50. In the meantime, my friend was having her manicure finished up, and her nail lady was a part of the whole price debacle as well. So once her lackluster shellac was completed, her nail tech said oh wait I forgot to put a clear coat on your toes. About 2 hours later her toes nails were sticky and smudged. you could scrape of the nail polish. If that is not enough, the lady who waxed my eyebrows told me all of the nail lady's were mad at her bc they were going to accept other appointments during our allotted time and the eyebrow lady told them no, that we were coming in and we had already been in once and that it was not good customer service. Overall this was a pretty bad experience.They were completely unorganized. With so many nail places around, I do not see any reason to go back to this place. read more

I have been to all the royals retreats.. My favorite is the one next to wholefood on Fry rd. They made me feel so welcome right when I walk in. I never have any problem. A few time I brought my lunch in there, they were kind enough to let me eat first before they do my nails. That show that they were thinking for me and not rushing to do my nails to get me out of the way for the next person. They never hassle me to pay for more then what I ask for. They are not loud like other salon I've been too. I will tell every body I know about them. read more
