We used to enjoy the service, atmosphere and food from DaVinci's but since COVID things have gone downhill. Being closed on Monday people are used to many restaurants close on Mondays but now closing on Tuesdays makes customers concerned about operations within the restaurant. My last visit in the restaurant was with my brother and I ordered Fettuccine Alfredo. Very disappointing hardly any sauce which made it extremely dry and didn't have flavor. The server brought me a regular spaghetti and meat sauce which was very, very runny. Recently, we had DaVinci's cater the luncheon for my mother's funeral. I requested salad, assortment of salad dressings and garlic bread. For the main dishes we requested Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken I believe. Again no flavor nor enough sauce. The penne pasta with regular sauce was very dry and pasty. I know no other way to explain it. The Mona Lisa spaghetti was good, it had the flavor and consistency that it should have. However, the garlic bread wrapped in foil was soggy and cold. I didn't think I would have to request Parmesan cheese for the pasta dishes but I should have. There was none!!! I truly hope DaVinci's isn't in problems because the people of the Mid-Ohio Valley would hate to loose a restaurant that has been a part of the area for a long time. read more

I have ordered DaVinci's take out multiple times but this was my first time dining in. The restaurant has a lot of space and it looks like they have covered deck/ outdoor seating. Our server was extremely nice. I always enjoy the chicken cacciatore - the sauce is kind of running but I like all the fresh vegetables and the chicken is good perfectly and not dry for what i expect from a typical chicken breast entree. This time I tried the cheese tortellini- nothing too exciting and I was not a huge fan of the marinara sauce. My fiance got the chicken alfredo and it was delicious! Something I would want to try the next time we return. Our food was a little slow to come out but we were there during the usual dinner crowd on a Saturday night so can't be too surprised with the slower service. We had a wonderful New Years Eve Eve luncheon with eight of our out of state relatives. I booked a private room so we didn't interfere with other patrons dining. The room was above the bar. It was a perfect place for us to enjoy our families being together. Emma was our server. She had the room prepared when we arrived. Allowed us to determine the speed which we wanted food delivered. She was excellent at her job. We never needed to request a refill. She gave excellent suggestions when asked and was very pleasant. We said that we would find a different restaurant to try on their next visit. They said no, we want to return to da Vinci's and Emma was a big part of that decision. read more

A gem! Our party of 10 we called for reservations, a change of plans made us need to change to a later time. No problem! When we arrived we needed to add another person, again no problem! We all went with the Italian fair! Wonderful! Pork snitzel with hot German potato salad, sweet base it wasbtendervand yummy. Alfredo was given rave reviews, Mona Lisa spaghetti was deemed wonderful. Deep pizza was hot and filling was deep, again rave on flavor and actually enough for 3 people. Cheese tortellini thumbs up from our pickie eater. Anti pasta salad was huge and flavorful. Loaded calzone was mine! OMG the crust was perfect. Filling went from end to end, no skimping. The chili calamari was coked to perfection and was more than enough to share. The shrimp cocktail had 5 colosal shrimp. I could have eaten them all, but offered to share with my husband. Would have liked some of the traditional shreded lettus in the bottom but not many places do that anymore. Other menu items we didn't try were steak, fish, and about 8 salads. We finished our meal with lemon jello cake. Can't tell you how it tastes, we took it to go but we're so full we have not eaten it yet. Wait staff were knowledgeable and very accommodating. Very professional! If we visit Marietta again we will eat here again. We had carry-out while passing through town on our way home. The presentation of my dinner wasn't great, but everything tasted much better than it looked. It was flavorful, and a delight to the tastebuds. Everything I eat has to be gluten free. They had a nice selection of gluten free items (including pasta), and my dinner also included a piece of gluten free garlic toast. I was quite pleased with what I ordered. My bf got a Stromboli, and that looked delicious. He was happy with what he ordered. It was quite sizable, and he wasn't able to eat the entire thing. My business trip host took me to lunch here last week. da Vinci's is huge and maze-like and can handle individual diners to small groups, banquets, and probably wedding receptions. It's like other halls that I remember on the East Coast and reminds me a bit of Spengers in Berkeley in terms of space, kitchiness, and down home comfort. I was particularly impressed with the German Pizza, which was a savory combination of corned beef and sauerkraut and with the right touch or horseradish. A popular spot in the MOV, no doubt, but have mostly found the food to be underwhelming. Definitely not a place to find unique or interesting flavors-pretty standard middle America restaurant. The bone-in ribeye is good, and the Seafood Mornay special they have occasionally is very good. However to call this place an "Italian" restaurant would be inaccurate, as that portion of the menu is of the quality of the frozen lasagna you can buy at the grocery store. Located in the charming small town of Williamstown, WV right across the river from Marietta, Ohio is this gem of an Italian restaurant. The restaurant itself looks small from the outside but when you get in, you will see it goes on and on. It features a beer garden, an outside patio, a lounge, and more. But the thing that makes this place rock is the food! My favorite meal? The Mona Lisa- Spaghetti with green peppers and pepperoni served with garlic bread with cheese. There is not a bad meal here! Only tip I can give you is to make reservations or get there early because there is always a line out the door. The prices are very reasonable. Can't wait to make it back again! read more

We've eaten here weekly for the last 30 years. Lately, the upstairs booths have been closed, yet people wait for tables. The servers are excellent and we've noticed new people have been hired. We're not sure why the best dining room has been closed. The smaller room is loud and the booths in both downstairs rooms too small for four people. It is discouraging. other changes that are puzzling: no crackers are served with soup or salads. Surely, a ten cent uptick would take care of the cost. Previously, banquets or large groups could order from the menu. Now they are limited to 3 items. I'm sure it is difficult to get kitchen help, but it may be counter-intuitive to restrict customers from service they are used to. read more

This is possibly the only Italian restaurant that I've asked for a wine list and was told "we only have 1 type of each wine but it's not bad wine". I had a glass of "house" pinot grigio to accompany my parmesan and tomato olive oil pasta that I requested shrimp as my protein. My husband had the tortellini with pesto sauce and added meatballs which were very good. I really never write a negative review but.. the food is ok and not worth its price at all. It's kinda has a generic Italian taste. The Hot Italian Sub was descent and was $10.00 for a 12" sub. The sub was kinda flat throughout and empty at the ends. It was $60.00 (that's including a $10.00 tip) for 4 of us and that was with 2 kids menu orders. Unacceptable in my opinion. Our waitress was wonderful but the owner which was on site was extremely rude. It was Mother's Day, but we had a 12:30 reservation and wasn't seated until 1:30. Had to wait an extremely long time for our order (which it was Mother's Day and extremely busy) so we didn't get to leave until 3:00. Also, they refuse to seat a table unless the entire party is present. Not worth the price or the hassle. The town isn't very inviting to people outside of their own community. read more

Thought we would try this agin. Last year my family and I went to have dinner. The restaurant was not busy at all. It took 25 minutes to be seated and there was one other party waiting and they said they had been waiting for 30 minutes. There was a group of employees standing at the entrance of the kitchen chatting for several minutes, laughing and one was eating crackers. When we finally were seated it took another 30 minutes for a waiter to even take our drink order, we went ahead and ordered our food when he came to take our drink order. Over 45 minutes we waited on our food and drinks. We were a party of 3 in a very empty and over staffed restaurant. Food was cold when we finally got it. Over 2 1/2 hours of terrible service and subpar food and over $170 spent. The waiter was also rude. Keep in mind we had the exact same experience the year before, almost to the date. I had sent a complaint in to the manager the year before and never got a response. Unfortunately I made the mistake of thinking that the first time was a fluke and we gave them a second chance. Use to be my absolute favorite restaurant. We will never go back there. read more

The menu had a huge variety of entrees from pasta. pizza, steaks and your typical italian dishes. They do serve a "German PIzza" which has corned beef and sauerkraut on it. It is apparently a favorite of locals here. The beef toasted ravioli's were yummy. The steak I ordered did not come out at the proper temperature. They do offer free wi-fi. We go here at least once a week. We love the food and the restaurant and we have not once had to wait to be seated. So far we have had wonderful servers who are very attentive to their customers. Whether you come here for lunch or dinner or even the specials which are great on Sundays you should not be disappointed. I myself love Italian food so anything is good to me. The only thing I have to say that is not good is the same old music that plays and it keeps rolling. PLEASE update even if it is just instrumental or classical. Well the food is OK reasonably priced place. Unfortunately we had a surly waiter who acted like we were radioactive from the get go. Just had the impression that we were a bother to him to be in his section just three older people two men and one lady. He would always walk away while we were still talking to him or ordering we ordered an appetizer the German pizza and he brought our salads right away he said it would be 20 minutes for the German pizza, I mentioned that he should've mentioned that when we ordered so we would know maybe to select something quicker. We finally got a third menu for the third person, I was a few minutes late joining the other two he never asked me if I wanted a drink or cocktail even though the other two had already ordered a couple of drinks. We felt rushed to order our entrées he kept coming back and leaving coming back and leaving while we were still eating our salads and had just received our appetizer. Listen, I may be a little biased on food taste. Lived here all my life, my father (early 60s) has lived here most his life here too and so has a good bit of his family. We've eaten here for celebrations, an occasional family gathering, and for the most part, ordered in once in a while. So for the most part we've enjoyed the food here. However, between the rumors of recipe theft and a mean owner (they say jump you better be asking how high), coupled with our last experience of ordering to go make going back difficult. I don't claim to know anything about the recipe theft, just got that from other yelp reviews to be honest. The mean/angry owner thing we've been seeing proof of that for last few years (they've been having staffing problems for years, its not a recent COVID thing). This ties in with my last experience. Family orders for pickup and I drive down to get it. Walked in and waited five minutes to be acknowledged, not served mind you just seen, by the three servers who are standing there talking. So when I finally get someone to take my money and go get the food, she comes back with no change! She assumed the small amount was her tip (we've never tipped when we order pickup-should we?). Tipping aside, I'm a little miffed that she just assumed the change was hers. In case you are wondering, yes I do have relatives that tell me the food quality has gone down over the years. The food is a little less then ok. We had the Ravioli its wasn't very good, really not good st all to be truthful. I asked if it was home made and the answer was NO. What kind of Italian don't even have homemade Ravioli? I couldn't even finish it. How about not microwaving it. I paid 12.50 plus tax for something that was bad but, I guess the brown side salad was the warning I should have listened to.
