Had a very good corned beef Reuben sandwich. The corned beef was much corned beefier than most I've had in a long time. Yum. The sauerkraut was the American vinegary type, which I prefer on a Reuben over the milder German original kind. Makes for a louder, more interesting and tasty lunch. Get that. Soup of the day was a very good mushroom creamy variety with very mushroomy mushrooms. Get that if they have it. Also yum. They have a small deli with different meats and a moderate variety of homemade salad-y stuff. Coke products on tap and soda bottles in a cooler. A win. Bathroom was clean. Store was very clean. This is a great small town, locally owned restaurant. The staff are all very inviting and friendly. It is very well taken care of and clean. They have a great menu selection that's all made to order. You order at the counter and then pick out anywhere in the restaurant you would like to sit. They give you a number and bring it out to you. Everyone really enjoyed what we ordered. I ordered the "Bistro" burger. It came with spinach, grilled onions, tomato, cheese, bistro sauce, on a toasted bun, an order of fries, and an Arnold Palmer. My server Cassie R. Informed me that I had made a great choice. I noticed that they had a deli. They also sold art and candles. The bathroom was very clean as if it's well maintained. The tortellini bar is absolutely amazing.! my wife got the smothered chicken and was delighted in the serving sizes! All the employees are very friendly and polite, portion sizes are good, and they offer a variety of different foods. Also, when we went, it was priced lower than other local cafés here in Belpree. Our first visit to this charming place. You place your order at the counter and find your table and sit down. You hot food is served to you as soon as it is prepared. We all ordered the fried cod sandwich (served on a soft brioche bun with tartar sauce). Our dinner was served with vole slaw and golden brown French fries. Nice place, Yelp directions failed but then I decided to keep trying. Belair's has a huge selection of food for a little place. Everything is cooked fresh and excellent. I got the Corn Beef Reuben and the wife got the chicken salad croissant with macaroni salad and I got fresh-cut fries. Wow-what a hidden gem. Oh, we had a tuxedo cake for dessert. I have eaten at Belaire's a handful of times. My better half took me there because he thought he could take me to somewhere I have never eaten. Wrong!!! It was so cute of him. I ordered the baked steak and he got the triple decker club sandwich and fries. First, I will say that those were the best French fries I have ever eaten. I had never eaten there for lunch and was pleased at how busy they were with eat in diners and take out orders. We are in and I saw people I know but haven't seen in ages. Just had to try Belair's after they were voted best overall restaurant and best burger in the MOV. The restaurant looks small but has plenty of seating. Everyone is incredibly friendly and they have the best fries. I loved my burger, it was cooked perfectly and I've also tried their fish sandwich and they have never disappointed. The restaurant was unbearably sweat dripping hot. Due to the limited seating and heat, we changed our order from dine in to go. The "chef" made several snarky comments about this request and was overheard saying "fine. They can leave". I was polite as I could be prior to this and had already apologized for the trouble. This location has had different owners and names and I had never frequented any of the establishments until last month. My husband works at MMH Belpre ER and Belair's had catered at the ER, and he said the food was really good. And, of course, he was right. I ordered a chicken sandwich, which one in particular I can't remember, but when it came I was astonished, 2 big pieces of chicken on my bun. It was juicy and cooked just right. I also had their fries, they actually cut their own fries, none of the frozen bag stuff. You go up to the counter and order your food, because I thought maybe you sit and someone takes your order, so you order at the counter, they give your cup and a number, dinner a seat ABDC they bring you your order once it's done. You as a customer can see the chef staff slicing fresh fruits and vegetables and making everything from fresh ingredients! I have tried multiple specials and regular menu items and they have been absolutely delicious and I have never been disappointed! Recommend this place to anyone I speak to daily whether it's family or co-workers because it's the Best food I've had in a long time!
