When we visit Parkersburg, we always eat at The Pizza Place locations there. This was my first time visiting Marietta, and I was skeptical if this pizza would be the same because I consider the other to be my absolute favorite of all the places we've traveled to over the years. There was no reason to be skeptical. The Sicilian pizza here was excellent! Like the other place, the crust was crunchy and perfect, it was very cheesy, and the little pepperonis provide just enough grease to make it perfect. We were traveling with my Corgis, so it was nice that they had several tables outside. I can add this to the top of my favorites list because the pizza is great and Marietta is an adorable little town.

Almost $30 for a hand tossed Pep...it's good, but is it THAT good?

Love it. Pizzas were delicious. We brought a group of about 25 in and they handled it like champs! The workers did a great job as well and were very knowledgeable about the menu items. The pizza is VERY GOOD but the pricing is a bit out of budget for a family of 5 who are looking to get good pizza. Either your prices are high and it's the best pizza you've ever had OR it's really good pizza at a really good price. (Another very small thing was how messy the dining room and tables were in the restaurant. I was surprised at paying almost $30 for a pepperoni pizza that the interior was as basic and messy as it was.) Prices vary of course, but a veggie at the time this is written is $32 for an 18-inch veggie and $39 for a full Sicilian pizza.

not to be cheesy but ..... we love it here.

Growing up in Williamstown, Pizza Place was a go-to my whole childhood. When Courtney & I moved to Kansas City, we craved it! Every trip home we made it a point to stop by. Fast forward to July 6, 2024 we decided to have our wedding in our hometown and celebrated in Marietta, OH. Planning a wedding came with a lot of tough decisions, but the easiest one was knowing we wanted The Original Pizza Place to cater the wedding. And they did NOT disappoint! Mike & Bianca did an awesome job with preparation (even from a distance) and made sure we had enough for all of our friends & family to enjoy. (We think some of our guests raved more about the cucumber/ tomato salad than the wedding itself!) They handled everything on the day of, from preparation to delivery & set up. All we had to do was show up & enjoy. Another shoutout to Richie. Every time we come in, he makes an effort to say hi to us and even congratulated us as we came into town! That type of customer service is something that was so special and made us feel so welcome. (Even from a Raiders fan) No better way to end the wedding day, than with a pizza & salad to enjoy as husband and wife after a busy day of celebrating. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Can't wait to come back.

They will give you what you ask for pleasantly. They combined the cucumber salad and caprese salad in one bowl and it was so tasty.

Now this is good pizza! I will say that I do have a preference for the Pizza Place in the mall (it just tastes better in my opinion, but might be my imagination), nevertheless, this is still pretty great! I love the sicilian. It might be thick, but it has a nice airy crust. The sauce is flavorful with a sweet tangy flair to it. The cheese is the best! I mean, they do not hold back. Lots of cheesy, gooey goodness! It stretches nicely with each bite. The thin pizza is excellent as well, but a little more greasy than the sicilian. The pepperoni's form little cups during the bake, that fill with the oils emanated from the pepperoni. I love the way the flavors mesh. Pizza is available by the slice and both the thick and thin slices are quite large and filling. They sell gelato as well. There is a nice variety of flavors and it's equally delicious. There is nothing romantic about the dining experience here. The place is bright and basic. This place could be so much more if they lowered the lighting, put in a jukebox and changed up the aura. That's why people enjoy places like AppleBees, The Olive Garden and Logan's and stay long; ultimately order more food...the atmosphere can make a lot of difference. Dine in, take out and delivery is available. If you do dine in, you can watch them throwing up the dough and making the pizza right in front of you. Either way, this is the best pizza in Marietta and definitely in my top 5 best pizza of all time. Keep up the good work Pizza Place.

While in Marietta, Noel, Tony and I opted to try some of their pizza. They are located on 2nd street and very easy to find. We ordered their N.Y. style crust deluxe and some bread sticks. Very pleased with the breadsticks. Pizza was good and ample toppings but a little burnt. It was a little expensive. One beer, 2 sodas, breadsticks and a large deluxe pizza pie $33..ugh!!!! It was good, not the best, but good!!!

Visiting the area and we wanted pizza before the game. We ordered a thick medium pizza extra cheese 1/2 chicken other 1/2 mushrooms & wings -bbq. We ordered over the Internet, but when we got there they said, the order never showed up. We decided to reorder & eat there. Boy, I wish we would of just left. I love thick pizza, but this just didn't taste good. The sauce was odd tasting and the crust was only good on the edges. I tried to like it, but I only ate 1/2 a piece, because I just didn't like the taste. Their wings come fried with sauce to dip. I was ok with that except the wings were so salty I could only eat 1. I left there thinking I got some bad advice by Google. "Imaging that" ‍ I searched for best pizza in the area. If that's the best I think you should buy Digiorno frozen pizza and save yourself the time & money. The workers were good and courteous it was just not good food.

Gluten free pizza is really good...not as good as the original pizza place pizza. Crust is about 9 inches, thin, and crispy. It is pricy.

Very good pizza. A little over priced. They do sell beer and other items such as salads and gelato. Perfect if you just want a quick lunch.

When we arrived, no one greeted us or sat us down. A staff that was cooking addressed us and told…read moreus to sit down. Once we sat, the waitress came over to us and asked us what we were going to drink. We got up and went to the Buffett area. Some pizzas were kind of old. The cheese had hard ended up on some. But, the pizza of the month, chicken queso pizza, was really good. The taco pizza was super good too. Pepperoni and cheese were normal. The had a decent salad section. You could also order from their menu and get subs and stuff. But, we didn't. Since I had gotten there with my family at about 1PM (it's 1:47PM), no one had entered or even gone to check on the cleanliness of the bathrooms. I had to wipe down the toilet with soap and water because I just couldn't hold it anymore. If you zoom in there's soap on the floor right underneath the dispenser bit isn't leaking but, the staff could clean it up. There's toilet paper all over the floor. The food tasted good but, I don't know if I should've eaten it because there were so many house flies flying around... I had to keep swatting them away. The tables were a little dirty and my side of the table we sat at was greasy or oily. As if it was only wiped down with a wet rag and no cleaning solution. I bring this up because I've worked in the restaurant industry and I had a very high standard for cleanliness and customer service. And even with just holding minimum expectations,... this was not ok. The place could use a touch up but, that's more of a preference and has nothing to do with the food or service. I suggest just try it for yourself. Might not come back honestly. I'd rather go to The Pizza Station right across the bridge in West Virginia in St. Marys.
