This is a place that my family would go to on special occasions when I younger. I was in the area and I nostalgically had to stop in. Not much has changed and it was a great meal. I didn't eat from the children's menu this time. I ordered the Tour of Italy. It's a trio sampler of meat lasagna, fettuccine Alfredo and penne pasta. (Full disclosure- I am not a fan of pasta with just red sauce so I asked my server to leave it off of my plate). It was quite tasty. Each entree comes with a salad. I also inhaled a couple of piece of old school garlic toast. I was offered another serving of the bread and because I wanted to fit into the pants I packed for the trip, I said no. Thanks for the full belly and a stroll down memory lane!

We had an overall good experience. Table Service was lacking with refills and attentiveness. Often had empty glasses throughout the party. Food was wonderful. Ordered the fettuccine with meatballs and cheese sauces. Fried ravioli was cooked perfectly. The restaurant falls in the classic Italian vibe which is a big benefit. I wish the service was alittle better but I will return.

Do yourself a favor and skip the "chain restaurants", this is the place to go for your love of Italian food! They also have some of the best staff you will ever encounter. The local owners are always on site and are just wonderful people. There is plenty of space for very large parties if necessary as well as some more private settings as well. Just a great opportunity and atmosphere for family gatherings or a nice date night. Can't say enough good about this place!

We had an excellent dinner our first night in town--great service, clean facility, a real local gem. I had the shrimp dinner which came w both a salad and potatoes. The shrimp was fried perfectly, juicy and great breading; the cocktail sauce was fantastic. Loved the meal so much that I had it to nights in a row. Loved the shrimp so much I had it the next time too, but switched the fries to a baked potato. YUM!

Tony and I had to go to the Doctors office in Parkersburg so we decided to try a new to us restaurant in the area. I immediately jumped on Yelp for some suggestions and we were directed by review status to try out Jimmy's, so we did and we were pleasantly surprised. Immediately we were greeted and seated. On our way to the table, there were loads of photographs along the way. This is a time when I wish that I had to wait!! Ever since childhood, I've been fascinated with photos from the past and everything with a history. Found out that this Family Owned and Operated Dining Establishment has been in Parkersburg since 1954. 68 yrs so they must be doing something right or I should say Everything Right!!! Our waitress was very pleasant, took our drink orders, Budweiser for Tony and Unsweetened Iced Tea with Lemon for me!! She told us about the daily specials and made some suggestions. She brought us a basket of Toasted Garlic Bread, oh so delicious!!! Tony went with a Toasted Garlic Bread Meatball sandwich slathered with rich marinara sauce and meatballs with melted Ooey Gooey Cheese and tons of crispy french fries! I opted for the Tour of Italy Entree which included Fettuccine Alfred, Penne with Marinara Sauce with a huge Meatball and a thick slice of layered Lasagna with a meaty sauce!!! Oh the food was so delicious!!! I would have preferred some fresh basil & oil dipping sauce and some fresh ricotta options but it was still superb!! Highly recommend and definitely a do over eat again immediately if in the area. I want to try their homemade pizza next time!!!

We started with oysters, delicious. My husband had steak which was cooked perfectly and amazing. I chose the crab cakes and added truffle fries. The crab cakes were so good!!! First impression of the inside of the restaurant was great...kind of like speakeasy vibes, cool decor, dark. We were greeted by the water waiter who offered us three types of water to choose from. Waitress came over and took our orders. First thing to come out was the Waygu Beef Carpaccio. I took a pic of it but it didn't save to my phone for some reason but it was a solid 10/10. That garlic horseradish aioli was amazing. Secondly, my dad's meal came with a salad, he chose ceasar which might have had the best croutons on it that I've ever had. Bread was also served which was a sourdough, I believe, with 2 butter options (regular and garlic) and an olive oil. Very good. Dad's meal was the 14 oz bone in ribeye with a one pound loaded potato. He said all was very good. For my meal, I got the Cajun cream pasta with steak. It was perfection. There is nothing bad I can say about this dish other than I didn't think it was spicy at all. Didn't matter though because the flavor was great. With the Father's Day special, dads got a dessert and an old fashioned with their meal as well. For dessert, he got the lemon blueberry cheesecake. I took a bite of it and it was so good. The reason I didn't give this experience 5/5 stars is because the service was lacking. Typically, I factor in if the restaurant is busy. I'll start by saying, they were not busy. Out of the 13 or so tables, 6 were occupied including us. Our waitress maybe had us and another table she was waiting on. The waitress was very nice but I had to ask for items a couple times. Bread, drink refills, etc. The water waiter filled our drinks many times and then he stopped coming around. I asked the waitress for refills on our drinks and ended up having to remind her. I know technically it was the water waiters job so I'm not faulting her entirely because she did end up being the one to fill our glasses. At the end, she did tell us it was one of her first nights there so then we understood some of the hiccups. Again, very nice and certainly not a horrible waitress. She did great for the most part. We will definitely be back to try more menu items. Highly recommend- go try it out. Enjoy some food pics I took.

Lots of selection, whether hot dogs or burgers, so be ready if the line is rushing through on a lunch break. Apparently the special here is a root beer slush, which my buddy got and was happy with. I ended up getting a burger and hot dog, both were on a toasted bread, which is a little bit unique. Loved that the menu is pretty pickle-forward. Flavors were on-point, the bread could have been a little less-firm, but maybe it's because I took a couple minutes to step to my burger and it firmed up like drier toast. Kind of wished I got the chili dog, but was completely stuffed before the end of the meal, so wasn't able to further gorge. Will be stopping here again when we make a dedicated trip to Parkersburg later in the summer.

Unfortunately, that wasn't the case this time. It wasn't very busy, especially for a Friday night, but service still felt like an afterthought. Our bartender/server seemed much more focused on pouring herself beers and chatting than paying attention to customers. There were two people behind the bar who were also serving tables, but most of the time it felt like they were more interested in hanging out with their regulars than checking on guests. They were out of traditional wings, which was disappointing. My husband said the boneless wings weren't very good. The homemade salsa and beer cheese were actually the highlights and were both really good. The rest of the food missed the mark. My chicken Caesar wrap came with soggy chicken and tasted like it had been drenched in Italian dressing instead of Caesar. The fries were limp and soggy. We spent what felt like forever trying to get someone's attention just to ask for ranch so we could add some flavor. The beer itself was decent, and I'd probably come back for that. But based on this visit, I wouldn't come back for the food, and I definitely wouldn't go in expecting good service.

Along with Garlic Cheesecurds. Then as I had teased Gabby our severer I would follow coffee with donuts. I had the Donut Stout and my spouse had the Mexican Lager. So of course we had to have the Bavarian Petrels to go with it. Of course by this time the creative ideas start to flow so our next choice was a beer we shared a 1/4 of coffee stout and 3/4 of donut stout. Oh my! Good thing I am retired or this would my coffee choice each morning! We both loved the mix and then I talked to Zach about how I hoped both will be available in January when I am back in the area. He liked my input or talked like he did. I am so glad that we have a local brewery for when family come in but that we can stop by and say Hi. So when it comes to service it was excellent, thank you Gabby. When it it comes to the food it was awesome and the decor. I still want the lights in my home or at least may she shed if my spouse won't rewire the house.
