I stopped by the Davis Cannabis Collective on my way home and had a great experience. Parking was easy, there was no line, check-in was quick, and a helpful budtender assisted me right away. I picked up an UpNorth Acapulco Gold pre-roll with a fresh June 19 batch date, and it was outstanding. The flower was flavorful, smooth, and loaded with that classic terpene-rich, heady character that reminded me why I enjoy old-school genetics so much. My go to dispensary in the Davis area. The building is very spacious and clean and staff are always very welcoming. There's a great variety of product as well as staff that are knowledgeable. Pricing is pretty fair and I enjoy the fact that they hand out punchcards so that you can redeem a free item at some point. read more

On one hand, the staff is mostly kind and hooks it up with a few dollars off sometimes. But on the other the fact that all items are PRE TAX and there's still insane tax is absolutely ridiculous. At least be honest and either show items post tax or lower the ridiculously high and UNCHANGING prices. They don't do many deals or holiday deals (was looking forward to Black Friday this year) and the selection and price point options stay the same. If it was actually more top shelf and not high mids for ridiculous prices, it would maybe constitute the pricing and shitty selection. read more

I stopped in to stock up before a major surgery in Feb. which I did! I spent hundreds and even tipped big. I would need to medicate without smoking, and am used to smoking fairly fresh premium flowers to manage my suffering. The guy that helped me was super friendly and seemed to really know his job well. He definitely knows cannabis. Once he gained my confidence that he understood my high tolerance and needs, I trusted his advice implicitly. Unfortunately, his integrity faltered in the end. Booooo! One product that appealed to me was a fruity flavored tincture, which they had only 3 pkgs on the shelf. I looked at the pkg labeling and saw I could custom dose, and checked the dates on it. I was so excited to be there, that I read the dates wrong and got confused about what year it was (or maybe I am just a Loadie, lol)You see, it was still early 2023, and the label said it was made early 2022. Thinking it was just made, I then commented that it must be popular with only 3 pkgs left when it was so new/fresh. He exclaimed, yes! Very fresh! He elaborated on his lie to me by adding that they had recently delivered it, and it goes really fast. I grabbed all 3 pkgs- then suddenly felt like I shouldn't take the last, because people love it... so I put one back. I explained why, but he didn't get it. Surely that was the right thing to do. Right?! Some are called Budmaster- not him, as he lost my respect and trust due to this: He then suggested I grab all 3 while I could, since it was just delivered and was going so fast. I still left one bottle. But, I was unimpressed at his lack of consideration for the next person looking for that particular product. Yet, felt he was knowledgeable and did me right. Fast forward: unpacking at home I notice the date again and realize both bottles are not only over a year old, but expiring very soon. D'oh! OVER a year old. Epiphany! That guy was a SALESMAN. He wanted to move an old product off the shelf more than he wanted to be honest with me. That tincture had not just been delivered. Not even close! It was old and in the way, and about to expire. Shame on him. I gave 2 stars for the clean and well stocked dispensary, and the nice & efficient gal up front, that checked me in. The other 3 stars I docked thanks to Mr Cool Salesman dude. If you cannot trust your Budmaster, why bother? He should be selling cars, not advising dispensary clients. read more

Life changing. I had never used it before. I have had a lifetime of insomnia and anxiety. I took someone's advice was and went in. I had sooo much help. These amazing workers are truly their to help! I felt silly with questions and did not understand. But wow these people walked me through everything. They truly care. They take time with you and treat you so well. Will forever be my go to place in the area. Very clean place. I like that it's tucked away. The staff are always super nice and knowledgeable and take their time answering my questions, even ones I am embarrassed to ask. They don't push you to buy or try anything. Amazing customer service and all around experience from Davis collective! Coming from vegas was looking for some bubbles hash which vegas never has. So thats what initially brought me here. I love how they have smell jars and how the staff and girls up front are very knowledgeable! First timers here receive 10 percent off. Kana up the street does not. Okay I know it was a delivery but I paid $60 for one and a half grams of cartridge, and paid $30 more for delivery and taxes. I paid $90 for only one and a half grams . That is absolutely crazy, I will never do that again. I can't recommend this Co at all. ps it's not even that good. read more

One of the better dispensary collectives I've shopped over the years. No hardcore security live some others. No overselling of their products either. Never setting foot in here again. I came in The evening of March 7, 2020. I was seeking topical CBD. The attendant kept asking me what it was for. Finally, after being asked the same question four times, I told him it was irrelevant, I'm asking for CBD. During this time I asked 4 questions of my own. The attendant did not answer even one of my questions, he gave answers that sounded like I was asking a completely different question. The fifth and Final question I asked: "what are the percentages?" He answered with a ratio. Then some other employee decided that she could just invite herself into the conversation. Quite unprofessional, and ignored her. I looked at the attendant and said "I think I need to go somewhere else, you and I aren't communicating." He replied "well it just helps if I know what it's for." Get a clue. It's none of your fucking business, and it's nobody else's business that happens to be standing within earshot. It's not your place to put my info out there simply because you think you need it. Fuck you. This guys insistence on knowing this and his inability to let it go and answer my questions made it clear that this is not a place where I want to spend my money. This attendant needs to learn where the boundaries are. The HIPAA laws were put in place to empower individuals to have complete control over health care records, information, and 100% privacy. An attendant at a dispensary has no business being pushy with customers regarding what the product will be medically used for. If you think you need that info, you need to ask kindly, not demand, and behave with some sense of sensitivity toward the customer. Being pushy about it and asking repeatedly may be a violation of HIPAA laws, and if it's not it should be. My health care records cannot be accessed by anyone, including doctors, unless I give permission. It's pretty damn heady of a dispensary attendant to think that it is appropriate to be pushy about such a private subject, one that is protected by stringent laws for good reason. LISTEN UP: There is no reason why any dispensary attendant should drive a customer away by being too nosy and repeatedly asking about specific health issues. AS A DISPENSARY ATTENDANT, IT IS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS HOW I USE THE PRODUCT IM INQUIRING ABOUT. IT IS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS WHAT I AM SEEKING TO TREAT WITH THE PRODUCT. Your staff are either violating or coming dangerously close to violating the HIPAA laws, it may be time to get some training for them. As an attendant, if you can't give a straight answer to questions and you repeatedly ask for personal, private information that is none of your business, you will run a high percentage of your customers away. It worked with me, it's probably happened to many others if they met this attendant. It's for sure he needs full training on the do's and don'ts of retail. You don't make sales by frustrating your customers, being demanding of their personal health information, and answering their questions with a non sequitur. Suggestion: If I owned this business I'd get rid of that attendant, he is not well mannered enough to be in retail. He demanded information of me I wasn't comfortable sharing because he is not a doctor, and this is not a private setting. It appeared that this attendant believes his need to know personal health information supersedes the privacy rights of the buyers health care information. This man will eventually bring a lawsuit down on this place because some people don't take kindly to others violating their personal and private health information. On the way out I told the security guy "Worst experience at a dispensary ever. You know, your staff here need some training, they are not doctors." This looked like a nice place and I wish I had a better attendant, my experience may have been different. I guess we'll never know. As I said in the beginning, I will never set foot in this place again. This was a very unpleasant experience, and it could have been completely avoided if I had just been assigned to a different attendant, or if the attendant I had would have pulled his head out of his ass. Went in here twice, first time I asked to smell a sample, I was told "uh, yea we aren't gonna put out 60 bucks on a g know what I'm sayin?" Ok I'll try one, tasted and smelled exactly like product I didn't want, no returns so it's on me. It sucked. Went back cause I never learn, again same guy same attitude, but now his boy just bought it and swears by it, fruity pebbles sauce diamonds this time tasted like plastic garbage, my least favorite flavor, in fact why I smell wax to make sure I don't get this crap.
