Looked at the 'job', he emailed estimate that evening a very accurate, cost of everything going line by line. We had requested a start date for the job, no problem. He told us how much tile would be needed. We ordered from Home Depot. Rob had it picked up . On start day a crew showed up, as some of them started ripping bathroom apart. they also put down a 4' wide paper walk way so they weren't making a mess from bathroom to door. Super nice crew if I bothered them with a question they actually explained what they were doing. WOW I liked that. When the last guy left everything was cleaned up by them. I went in to pay the balance & asked for any carpet info in writing, I did not get it, but I did receive a bottle of carpet cleaner for this type of carpet. Travis stated if there were any installation problems in the year to call them. As a long-time established family local business I shall rely on his word. Although some of their fees are higher, I would definitely use Hasty's again.

This is a great opportunity to seek out a new place and add Hester's to Yelp. As we walked into the business, we were greeted by Maurice and his trusty companion . We inquired about real wood flooring and Maurice took us to another showroom. The samples on hand was overwhelming. They have samples from every company. Armstong, Luxwood, Mohawk and Parkay Floors. Talking to Maurice, Hester's is a small family owned business. They have some flooring in stock but they can order anything in the showroom. The one we liked was $5.50 sf. This was a little out of our price range. I simply love that they also support other businesses. As you'll see in the picture of the entrance way. After just a week or two I had some back to fix the trims that were cracking due to not being leveled properly. Over a short time the floor has become complete garbage. Holes under the flooring led to dips and cracking throughout my entire house. They did offer to redo part of my floor but that meant altering the original way the floor looked by adding trim in random places. I only found out about the plan when the installer called to arrange a time to come. He realize the sales person did not tell me when they originally came to look at the floor and only whispered it to the installer after leaving. When I called to speak with DAVID to discuss possible other options he treated HORRIBLY. He attitude was disgusting and unprofessional from the moment he answered the phone. When I tried to address his hostile attitude he became more irate. I strongly believe I was treated this way because I'm a young woman who can be easily taken advantage of by a misogynist. I am truly sicken by DAVID and the company as a whole. Almost 10,000 wasted because I used this business

We had a great experience with Mike and his company installing a new floor in our sunroom. We got…read morea few different quotes for the work, including from Mike who came out to look at the space on a Saturday afternoon. Mike's wasn't the lowest bid, but it was the only one without contingencies, and the only one which stated up front that his crew would remove the old tile floor, repair any underlying issues with the subfloor, and level it before installing the new luxury vinyl planks. Plus we felt comfortable after meeting him about the plan and the quality of the materials/work. It took about two weeks after signing up to get the planks ordered/delivered, and then set a time to do the installation. A two-man crew showed up around 8:30 a.m., gave me some updates along the way to show what was happening (and ask some important questions I hadn't considered, like which way the new planks should run), and they finished installing the flooring and the quarterround by about 11:30 a.m. Everything looks great, and we are very happy.

I think it is high praise to get a thumbs up from a fellow contractor. Dan is smart, design savvy, patient, and calm. I respect and appreciate his opinion and advice. If I could give him ZERO stars, I would. From his other reviews, looks like RJ can do some good…read morework. But he is totally unprofessional and a pathetically bad communicator. Initially contacted in late March about refinishing our front doors. Saw on his website that he'd done several doors very similar to ours and they seemed to turn out nicely. He initially said he was booked out about 6 weeks - no problem. When he arrived to start working on the doors in mid-May, was here for about an hour, and did some initial prep on the door casing (which was the section LEAST in need of refinishing). Evidently, did about 15 mins of work on the actual doors, and decided he needed to use a different chemical stripper, which he didn't have with him. Said he would order it and be back when it came in. Ok, no problem. A week goes by - no word. Ten days - no word. I reached out to him and he said he was having trouble sourcing that particular chemical. I then did a 30-second Google search and immediately found two sources for it. Sent him a text with the links to both sites. Silence. Another two days go by - nothing. Texted him and asked if it he received my texts. Also asked if it would be helpful if we ordered the stripper and let him know when it came in. The next day, got a snarky, curt reply - this is a quote - "No, I haven't looked. I'm on vacation right now. Don't order." I hate bothering people on vacation and would not have done so, IF he'd had the decency & common courtesy to let us know he'd be gone for a week and would circle back when he returned. But never heard anything about it. Fast forward another 4 weeks (texted another couple of times and tried calling) - zilch. No return call, no texts. Then today, knowing that, for whatever reason, he was never going to complete our doors, called him (thinking I'd leave a message) to simply ask if he could recommend someone else who could take over the project. Surprisingly, he actually picked up the phone - couldn't believe it. At first, he didn't remember me or our project. Then, the lightbulb clicked on and he just hung up. No explanation, no 'sorry it didn't work out, won't be able to finish your doors' - nothing. Tried calling back thinking maybe was just a bad cell connection - nope. He's just a disgustingly rude, unprofessional jerk. If you think of hiring him, just know he may well leave you hanging.
