Everyone at the store was sympathetic to my situation and followed up quickly with any questions or concerns o had. My final install was with Ryan G. He worked late just to make sure my install was right and that I could finally walk on floors again! Ryan is very serious about getting the job done in a way that will leave his costumers satisfied. I had purchased a floral from you and had it installed at 118 Anchorage dr Flagle Beach Florida by John. I know you don't guarantee the installation, but I called him several times. He made two appointments and never showed and finally didn't answer my calls. I went ahead and put a new floor in the bathroom and thought what that was it. However, the rest of the floor began to peel and separate. It's so bad now that people catch their feet on the pieces that are peeling up. I have to put throw rugs over the pieces. Yesterday, I finished the installation that these guys said they'd do. As others have said, it's a risk doing business with this outfit. I can't recommend doing business with these guys in any capacity. The details of my story are different than the others, but the themes are common. The summary is below, if you're interested. Summary: 1 - Salesman calculated the amount of flooring needed (he had the right numbers, but multiplied wrong 2 - Salesman failed to ask whether I needed thresholds to transition to adjoining rooms 3 - Be wary of the separation of relationships between Floor Factory Outlet (FFO) and the installer. The installer is independent, thus FFO takes no responsibility for the installers work. 4 - Salesman sent wrong thresholds with installer (purposely because they didn't have what I needed). The installer told me that he was told to "see if I would take these" instead of what was actually needed. I'm no flooring guy, but what was sent was not right. The installer said, he wouldn't recommend using what was sent. 5 - I explicitly told the installer that I wanted to keep the unpainted shoe mold in one of the rooms so that I could paint it and put it back down again. As he finished the install, I asked him where the shoe mold was, and found out that his crew had broken it up as they removed it. He apologized and promised to bring me shoe mold (for which I'd reimburse him) when he returned with the thresholds. As you can imagine, that never happened. That was the work I completed yesterday to finally finish the flooring installation. 6 - If, for some reason, you decide to use these guys, follow the basic rule that you don't pay (the full amount anyway) until the job is complete. I made the mistake of paying the installer the full amount before the thresholds were down. He then refused to return my call. After 3 visits to FFO, always being assured the installer would be here, I finally took the materials myself and arranged for the installer to return. He didn't show the first time, prompting another trip to FFO. When he finally did show up, he again told me that the materials I had were not exactly what we needed (endcaps not T-molding, and barely big enough to cover the openings). I told him that this had to come to an end, that I'd take my chances, and to glue them down. If it hadn't been for the service in the store being slightly better than average I would have given them 1 star. The salesman was helpful, informative and patient during the initial visit to purchase the materials. And he did continue to assist me in re-engaging the installer when things went unfinished (albeit very slowly, requiring constant prodding). read more

Our experience with Floor Factory Outlet was very favorable and pleasant. On the Sales-side, we visited two other stores in addition to FFO. We found that the FFO staff was more knowledgeable and collaborative than the other folks. The selection of laminates was excellent, and we never felt pressured at all to make a purchase. The staff was also very prompt about following up with an estimate. We were concerned about the fact that the flooring installers are independent of FFO, as some of the other reviews accurately note. FFO provided the contact information for two or three of their recommended installers. We called Brian Ferrell first. After the telephone conversation and his follow-on visit to measure and provide a price quote for the installation, we felt confident in Brian and felt no need to contact other installers. Brian, along with his brother Aaron, were top-notch. They did exactly what they said they would do - and did it when they said they would. They are honest, professional, and nice gentlemen, and neighbors who have seen our new floors were very complimentary about the skill that was reflected by the installation. As a bonus, Brian and Aaron were very considerate about house-keeping at the end of each day of the 3-day process...they left us with no mess to clean-up at all. So based on our experience with Floor Factory Outlet, we would highly recommend them for their product knowledge, selection, pricing, and quality. Avoid this place at all costs. As Chelsea mentions, they won't help you on the service end, only charging you for the product which is almost always hidden with "shipping charges" and they say everything is "custom" so no returns or refunds even if they recommend wall tile for floors! Use AMEX so you can get your money back, even though they will immediately say that their "corporate Lawyer", Esposito, who has a pretty limited and sad career lawyer, out of Palm Coast will try to intimidate you. The customer is always wrong here, and don't ask questions or we will get litigious, and then they'll send you emails of lawsuits, etc. which is just more smoke and mirrors. .Fortunately you eventually get to talk to Tom Marino the owner of the Cabinet Factor and the Floor Factory and he is reasonable, but out of touch with his staff. Love the top of the line floors we purchased until they were installed. We were told to use their installer we would get a year warranty with installer. I ask for the best installer and was referred to Tony. I'm so disappointed in the installation. You can see were they are not hooked together. Too late once it is installed to really correct it. If you buy their flooring be sure to find your own installer that will not slam it into your house in one day. I would never deal with these people again! read more

We have spent over 30k on tile and kitchen cabinets from Floor Factory Outlet.We have tried for 2 months to get the contractor back to complete the job.There are tiles to grout in 4 rooms,cabinet doors to install,4 roll-out trays to install,trashcan tray to install, island to finish, backsplash not finished or grouted. I have invited the manager twice to observe the lack of quality being done but so far, he is a no show.. We have 2 broken ceiling fans, steel bathtub with chips in it from dropping old tile on it, missing dropcord, 4 wheel dolly gone and a pile of garbage tile and mortar in the driveway The store and contractor have taught me a valuable lesson.We should have gone somewhere else.You get NO STARS. read more

Had tile flooring in the kitchen and one tile has a toe kick. Its not a little bump either. The installer said it's not a big deal and if he has to try to fix it, it will probably cause others to break trying to remove it. The next excuse was my subfloor probably why it happened. Its not acceptable. They didn't order the correct amount of backsplash, so they got half way done and I had to wait again for more tile. The countertop installer put me off 2 weeks. If you say one word you are moved to the bottom of the list. Not one time did they show up when I was promised. I will give them credit for extremely creative excuses of which not one did I believe. It was ups fault, a pallet fell over and crushed my order, must reorder.... Ohh sorry they haven't deliverd it yet, and another favorite was " he forgot ". We sat home many days being told they were coming but no show and most importantly not even a call. Very unprofessional ! The manager became verbally aggressive the reason being I questioned the amount they charged me for flooring. When I purchased the first batch and asked if they could get more the sales person said. "No problem" We decided to put flooring in another bedroom and went to buy it. They only had 4 boxes on the floor and they said they could order the boxes needed. I was not told that I would be charged a delivery fee when it arrived at the store. I question the manager about their dishonesty and he said it was a special purchase. Haha what a laugh. After visiting several floor stores in the area, my wife and I found the laminate that we both liked and we considered purchasing about 1000 sq. ft. plus underlay and edge molding. However we were hesitant because of the previous negative reports posted on Yelp. I was reluctant to proceed with the purchase. I discussed this with both the Area Manager Todd who happened to be in the store at that time, and Brian the Store Manager. They both assured me This problem was caused by previous employees who are no longer with the company. As a result of the conversation, we decided to go ahead with the purchase on the under standing that any unopened boxes, underlay or molding could be returned for refund. I decided to finish the Sunroom myself and took enough material to cover about 200sq ft. The rest was stored for several weeks until we decided to re-floor the living area and kitchen. Last week Ryan the subcontractor and crew picked up the material from the store at no charge and spent 4 days completing the job. I must admit that there were a couple of glitches that is understandable with any custom job but we discussed the problems and they were corrected immediately. If the job went as smooth as "This Old House " projects I would have given them a star rating. At the end of the project, Ryan returned the unused material and as promised I received a full refund. I did however at his suggestion retain a couple of boxes of laminate in case any repaired or replacements are needed in the future. I found the personnel and contractors honest and easy to deal with. DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR PROJECT. THERE'S NO WAY FOR US TO GIVE THEM LESS THAN 1 STAR. We purchased 65 boxes of laminate flooring for our main living space in August. One week later, in September we added tile for the small foyer.The same salesman that sold us our laminate, sold us the tile and arbitrarily reduced the amount of laminate by 11 boxes without discussing it with us, even before the house was measured. We had told him numerous times on both visits that we wanted to purchase extra, incase of future damage or remodeling. In the weeks to come we anxiously contacted them numerous times to have the square footage measured, which they had scheduled for November. We finally got the installer to come and measure in late October, he didn't show, he sent his son. Neither the installer, nor the Store Manger admitted that there wasn't enough box before the start of the job. THEY HAD TO DRIVE 6 HOURS TO GET 2 BOXES, JUST TO HAVE ENOUGH, OR TEAR IT ALL OUT.. I now have no extra flooring incase of damage and cannot complete any future remodeling project. They are supposed to be finding me more boxes and do not return my calls. We don't expect we'll ever hear from them. WE ARE BITTERLY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE ST. AUGUSTINE STORE. read more

This is a long story, but the bottom line is, I paid $2k for 2 small rooms and I could have installed them better myself! (I have pictures of the crappy product and install.) The installer says it the product "straight out of the box" and the store says it's the installer. The installer, Dan Alcock, agreed to give me a partial refund because he knew his work was crap and then after 5 days of no communication and me repairing the floor MYSELF he went back on his word on the day he was supposed to drop the refund off and said no refund, he wanted to fix the floors. Also, they neglected to tape the AC return vent in one of the rooms and it spread a thick layer of dust throughout my entire house! No plastic on the floors. No cleaning crew. No shoe covers. They made such a mess that I had to hire professional cleaners to clean my house. Don't do it people. Don't do it! You get what you pay for! read more

Beware of their installers!!!! Bought some product here and was given a list of their "highly skilled, highly recommended" installers that they use "all the time". The job they did was so incompetent that I had to call them the next day to tell them the grout was coming up all over the place and the tiles were moving under my feet. Called them back the next day and they came out to take a look. Gave me some B.S. about making it right and promised to call me the following week to let me know how they will correct the issue. When he did not call me I called him and he sounded irritated that I bothered him. More B.S. about making it right but waiting for a special epoxy that will fix it blah, blah, blah! That was two months ago and I am now unable to reach their "highly recommended" installer. I am now out over $1000.00 as a direct result of doing business with this company. When I went to talk to them to see if they could help, I was told the installers did not work for them so there was nothing they could (or would) do to help me. The main thing that made me feel comfortable about buying with them was the amazing customer service i received. I also used their installers to put my flooring down as well. On Saturday 08/15/2015, I came to look at laminate flooring for a 12 x 11 room. The sales person Billy had mentioned that all they had available was 3 out of the 6 that was needed to cover the room. He said that I could take what they had in stock and pick-up the rest when it had arrived; which they stated that they had to restock from one of their other stores. I declined, and said I will wait to pick-up everything, when it arrived. He said, it Most likely be arriving on the following Thursday 08/20/2015. He said that I was required to pay now, in order to process the order, which I did. I paid $369.83 on my credit card. Come Thursday, I called to check on the status, they said that it still wasn't in stock, and that it should be ready in a couple of days, because it needed to be picked up from another store; which apparently was never done. I was told that Tom was scheduled to go to another store to pick-up some inventory and that he would pick-up my order as well, and that it would be ready either Friday 08/21 or Saturday 08/22. I ended up calling on Friday 08/21/2015, and was told that my order was in their truck, but wasn't in the store for pickup. I called up again on Saturday 08/22/2015; where I was informed that they still didn't have it and that it was Tom's day off... I came in later that day around 5 PM to request a refund. They gave me the usual comments about being sorry that it didn't work out, and that they hope that we could do business with them in the future; while also going on about how they do about 8 million in sales. The employee that processed my request, asked for my credit card and swiped it through their machine. I mentioned that no one called to update me at all, which I had to go out of my way to contact them about the status of my order, which I was given the reply that they only had 3 people working, and that they get busy sometimes; this would be a fine excuse, but when I arrived at the store these three employees were just hanging out by the payment counter, not doing a thing, with the exception of one guy ringing a customer up. The employee that was processing my refund also asked me, if I could wait an extra day on Sunday 08/23/2015. I declined, a second later the employee that was ringing up a different customer had noticed that there the order was actually in stock, and asked if I wanted to continue. I said, no; explaining that now it was a matter of principle now. I got my receipt for my refund and waited. Normally, it would take 7-10 days to process if a physical check was sent, for credit cards it would take 3 business days to be credited back. I regularly checked on my card statement for the next 11 days, and called them up on the morning of Tuesday 09/01/2015; where I was told that credit cards needed 3 business days to process, which it has been already far beyond that, and requested that I come by the store to swipe my card again. I arrived at 11 AM and an employee process the same refund again. I asked out of curiosity, how could something like this happened; where the employee from the previous week that mentioned about my order actually being at the store, said that he didn't know. I also asked if refunds could be cancelled, without me being present, which he replied that it was not possible. He said that, at the end of the day he pulls the batch, and it gets processed. Though, I clearly still had my receipt from my first refund, which shows that it is possible... Now I have a second receipt for the same refund. I will be waiting another 3 business days, but I feel that this kind of practice is unacceptable. I am already awaiting the next round of excuses...which I will most likely have to encounter in the next couple of days. Update: Finally got my refund, which I think was only because of the Better Business Bureau's involvement; where the Floor Factory Outlet still haven't formally responded to the complaint, not surprised there... this little game of theirs would most definitely be still be going, if I had not included a third party. Though this was a horrible experience, I will be sure to NEVER do business with them, nor recommend them to others. It's a real shame, I was pretty much testing the waters, with a small room, but my ultimate goal was to install flooring in 4 much larger rooms; rest assured, it will definitely not be done with this company. read more

I have no issue with the Floor Factory Outlet, the price was fair for the quality of laminate we selected. I do however have a major issue with the sub contractor who installed the flooring. Floor Pro's. They rushed to get the work done in one day, when it was about 8PM they were in a rush to do the quarter round and the transition pieces. I could have done a better job. In addition there was not one wall in my house that did not need touch up paint, there were several marks on all my walls. There was dust all over everything as they did not give me the opportunity to cover my furniture. When I called to schedule a date for them to come back and repair the shoddy work I was blown off with every excuse known to man. Five times I was told that they would call back with a date. The install was done on March 20 I called and asked Letha for a day the first week in April again I was told she would call me back. Finally I called the manager of Floor Factory Outlet and was given the date of April 5th. I had spoken with Letha the owner of Floor Pro's several times, nd her husband had been there for the install. They were aware that the quarter round and transition had to be repaired or replaced and that the 24 square foot wall was to have laminate put on it. When the workers arrived on April 5th they had no quarter round, transition piece or trim pieces for the wall. When I contacted Letha she advised me that I should have the common sense to know I need to purchase this material. When I told her that I should not have to buy quarter round or the transition pieces that her crew damaged she hung up on me. She hung her workers out to dry and left them to deal with me, instead of speaking with me to rectify the situation. Her worker Raymond offered to return and fix the mess on the following Sunday. I still have not heard for her and she is the owner of the business. The manager of Floor Factory Outlet was busy with another customer so he did not get on the phone to speak with me. When I stopped there he said he would address the situation with his sub contractor Floor Pro, but I doubt anything will be done. Next call is to the Better Business Bureau! read more

Not impressed at all. The prices were very reasonable for the material and install so we went ahead and purchased tile for our kitchen and bathrooms. The company subs out the install work to guys with minimal skill. They totally over estimated the sq footage of the tile (we measured twice and provided diagrams for them) and made us purchase their estimated amount. We were told we could return whatever material was left over. Several boxes of tile were broken or broke by the installers. The install company didn't pattern the tile correctly. It was a wood grain style tile which required staggering. The pattern they attempted to complete wasn't even aligned properly. The grouting was terrible, my husband had to redo it. They made a terrible mess in our house, trash and food containers everywhere each day, not a way to leave a customers house. In the end, pretty sure the installers stole some of the left over grout and tile as we did not get much money back. Really disappointed. Not professional at all. If you can install yourself, go for it. Otherwise, stay far away. read more

Picked out tile Friday, Nov 25. Salesman offered 10% flood victim discount, then said 15% because he's a good guy. (Saw on Facebook later that the store had posted 10/8/16 a 20% discount offer to any flood victim.) Salesman said could not give estimate without installer measuring floors and needed deposit - fully refundable. I OKd $500 on my credit card. Salesman ran full amount of materials sale - more than $3500 on my credit card. Then said could not refund without manager ok. Manager came over and said IF he did credit then the inventory might get sold to someone else, and also gave me a song & dance about how I would get my money back but the store wouldn't for several days. I agreed to leave it as is, but worried about it. It felt real sleazy. I went back on Sunday, Nov 27, and tried to cancel. Now another manager - Andy - told me they couldn't issue a credit because the owner had to approve all refunds over $1,000 due to some "thievery". That couldn't happen until Monday. Promised I would receive a refund Monday morning before I could even call. Monday, 10:30am, I called and, after spending 10 minutes holding on the phone, yet another manager - Robert - issued the credit and emailed it to me. I liked the tile and probably would have purchased my kitchen cabinets there, too, but the "sleight of hand" and varied stories angered me and destroyed any possible trust I could have in these people. read more
