Once you buy forget about them responding. They brought the wrong color couch. They did ask if I'd be ok with grey and I said yes. However when I asked what color grey they haven't answered. Putting the couch together it a mess and you really get what you pay for. Decent price, hard to put together and not the best quality. Turns out there is NO WARRANTY on their furniture (hence the prices being low). Some of their furniture might be good, but it's just like buying something used - you get what you pay for. If you are on tough times or just need something cheap/temporary (quality & cost) this is the place for you. IMO - FB might be a better source (unless they bought it from here LOL) For the rest of you, go to somewhere and spend a little more to avoid this headache of a place. My very honest review. The first time I went here it was great! Fast, easy, great service. Didn't feel cheated. I got a couch, lamp, mattress and they came in on time. It was a great experience I decided to go there a second time. This second time I got a bigger couch, a bigger mattress, and dining table set. Mattress and table came on time. We customized our couch so he said it would be a little more expensive and we ordered from his book so the couch wasn't actually on display in store. We customized our couch down to the inches so it fits in our living room. This is what we thought we got charged for. He said it would take anywhere from 6-8 weeks for the couch. We waited 3 months. We went to the furniture store to see what was going on and we found out he didn't even make the damn order!!! Also, the receipt that he wrote is complete shit. Can't understand it, he doesn't take good notes (didn't write down that we wanted a double chaise couch), and ITS NOT AN ITEMIZED RECIPT (we actually don't know how much we got charged for our customized couch - each section to the couch had a price). After going back and forth with him he offered us a TOTALLY DIFFERENT COUCH since the one we wanted was out of stock. We still got our double chaise but we waited a little over 2 months for the other chaise to come in. Until now I have no idea what we paid for since he doesn't do itemized receipts, not to mention we ended up with a totally different customize couch which means different prices. He did throw in a "free" area rug but I truly don't know if it was actually free. In the end, it took almost 6 months to get everything we "paid" for. However, we do like this totally different couch that we ended up with. He did mention he was not trying to cheat us but I totally feel cheated. Omar is a good salesman, but the customer service ends when he makes a sale. Like many other members here, I had an issue with delivery time and also had to deal with terrible communication skills. After they make a sale, their professionalism goes out the window. I purchased a couch here and basically got ghosted by the business. I had to drive down to the store to even get an update. I asked for a refund, since he couldn't give me a reason for delay or new delivery time, but Omar became enraged and lied about what he had said for delivery day and time. Ultimately, had to get my bank involved to do a charge back. I realized this was an expensive process for the business, so I tried to resolve the issue with Omar ( so he didn't get hit with the fees) . I gave him a call, but he just yelled at me over the phone. As a result, I almost had to file a police report to get my money back, but the business finally decided to refund me. Reached out today and I am told late Aug-early Sept. My sister purchased couches a day after us and received their wiithin DAYS! Their excuse "all this that is going on", I get it there are things that we can't control, but once you have a business you can't just leave your customer hanging and not communicate. I wouldn't recommend going here! Super high pressure sales rep Omar told us that if we didn't purchase it the day we went he would not honor the price quoted to us. We needed the couches as soon as possible and we decided to go with him because we were able to customize our sectional and mainly because he said they had them in stock and it would only take 7-10 business days at the latest to receive our couches. We paid extra for delivery and set up and followed up with him every week just to get updates as they didn't communicate with us. After 2 week's of follow ups he told us that he had the couches but one of the additional parts We ordered for our sectional said was now on back order And wouldn't arrive until the end of March. At this point we asked him to bring what he had received and we would wait on the other part. He then switched up the story and said they were not in stock and offered to pick up the sectional that he had in the show room. (Which wasn't what we wanted, not the color we requested) He then offered a 5x7 rug for the inconvenience. He knew we were in a time crunch and offered us a refund. When we got to the location it was still closed We were told to arrive at 11am for our refund, it was 11:20 and still no one was at the store. When we called he said he was 15 minutes away due to traffic. We noticed there was another couple there with a truck load of furniture and they started conversation with us and told us that they were also there for a refund and what they received was not what they ordered, the customer said they received damage furniture. I had a great experience all around. I started off sending a message late at night inquiring and Omar responded quickly so nice answering all my questions. I went in the next day and he greeted me right away and was so very helpful with me choosing my my sectional and dining room table. Gave me a great deal too. He called Ashley furniture right there and ordered my items and assured me the items were in stock. I did all of this on Thursday 12/5/19, my items were delivered on 12/10/19. Just as Omar said they would. I paid delivery AND set up, so the delivery guy spent a lot of time putting together my table and chairs, we then realized my table was made for 6 chairs, so Omar returned two of the chairs and gave my money back. The couch was easy to do myself, so I did that while the guy did my table and chairs. He did take all the packaging. DO NOT trust all these 5 star reviews! This place gives people a discount in exchange for good reviews but the truth is that Omar and his brother are extremely rude, unprofessional, and do not care about their customers. During the initial visit they were very friendly and helpful. The nightmare begins AFTER you pay. We were told we would receive our couch within a month of purchase. A month goes by and when I called Omar for an update he says "oh no worries, it'll be here next week." We heard the same update for 3 weeks after that. Eventually we get a call on a Friday letting us to know it had arrived and they would deliver it that upcoming Sunday between 11am-2pm. On Sunday at 11:15am we get a text telling us that they won't deliver it because they didn't have our couch. A TEXT not even a call. At this point I'm frustrated with their last minute notice and unprofessionalism so go in person to ask what happened. First, he does not even apologize and says "oh we received the wrong color so that's why we can't deliver. We couldn't tell you earlier because the delivery driver was the one that noticed." So I ask "why would you call and confirm if you didn't have the right couch? Don't you guys check what you receive before loading it into your delivery truck or before confirming with the customer?" At that point Omar got extremely agitated and started almost yelling, telling me I don't need to tell him how to run his business. We had a lengthy back and forth and eventually I left. There's more to it but I don't want to make this post any longer so my point is, save your self the headache and DO NOT come to this place. I understand delays happen outside of their control. Firstly, it is important to note that most of the 5 STAR reviews for this place are NOT to be trusted, as the salesmen of Davis Furniture Outlet give a discount if you write such a review. While this store is certainly not the worst place to by furniture, it does not deserve anywhere close to a 5 star review. With that shadiness out of the way, I will start with the quality of delivery service. The product I ordered took more than a week longer than what I was promised. While I understand that the company orders their products from a 3rd party distributor, and that the delay was entirely the fault of said distributor, I purchased the products with the promise that they would be delivered on time. The subsequent delay meant that I did not have a desk, bed, nor dresser for a week longer than I was told, which is an issue when moving into a new apartment and starting school. When I called the Davis Furniture Outlet to try and find out where my purchases were, I was consistently greeted with only a voice message. After leaving my name and information several times with the voicemail and never being called back, I was only able to finally reach them after personally driving back to the store. When I asked them if I could cancel my order so that I could stop living out of a suitcase on the floor of my furniture-less apartment, I was told there would be a cancelation fee that amounted to more than half of the initial order. Not wanted to pay such an outrageous amount for nothing, I decided to wait. When I finally received my furniture, I was greeted products that were of much worse quality than what I was expecting. The man who worked there promised me that not only would the quality of their inventory be better than that of Ikea, but that it would be made with better materials (ie, real wood). What's funny is that the desk that I payed way to much for was made not only of the worst composite wood I have ever seen, but all the drawers were lined with CARDBOARD. The CARDBOARD lined drawers on my expensive desk made it so that as soon as I placed anything heavier than a single notebook in them, they folded and caused the entire drawer to fall apart. Interesting design choice for a product that I was told was of the highest quality. So, in summary, I would like to state again that this place comes across as a SCAM. We've been in twice in the past month. First for a reclining loveseat. We walked in, Omar asked a few questions, we said we we liked and disliked, and he actually listened. We went in too the Davis furniture outlet and found everything we needed. Very nice hospitality and attentive help with the household goods we were looking for. The only issue we had was the furniture came on the 12th day at 5 pm, no one helped assemble the furniture and we were stuck with the boxes. What we were promised was delivery in 7-10 business days, help with assembly and box removal. The pieces are very heavy and solid so we have had to drill holes hoping it's right due to very vague directions. On Saturday, June 19 I had a delivery and assembly set up which I had paid for. After Omar's brother and his two kids/nephews assembled my dining table they walked out and I inspected it and I noticed a bunch of scratches underneath as they were building the table on top of the flat. I made this aware to Omas brother (the one who made the delivery) and he started to color in the damage with an incorrect color. He then said my only two options were a $25 refund as compensation or them giving me a marker to color it in. I told him I was going to call his brother (Omar) and he did as well. This is when they said they were going to give me about $500 back when I told them that that's not how much I had paid. I told them I needed to look for my receipt when they said they had a receipt and never brought it down to show me proof. With this I was over the disrespect and I told them to keep the entire money and that I would take care of it myself and at this point Omar's brother who did the delivery got aggressive and hostile and decided it would be OK trying enter my home without consent. I told him he was not allowed to come into my home and at that point he had taken the money for all the furniture delivered. I told him to leave when he started to try and push through my door. Shortly after the two kids that were with him, either his nephew or sons, started to help him push through my door and thankfully I was able to keep it closed and closed it in their faces. I made it very clear that I was going to call 911 due to the injuries I have received and a forced entry. I had dispatch on the phone as he was still trying to push through my door and eventually he stopped and he waited outside my house for about 30 minutes. My experience with this company can be summed up with one gigantic eye roll. I'm appreciative. I really am. They finally delivered our dresser 10 days following my order and 5 days later than the expected delivery date. It's great that the furniture is decent quality and a extremely reasonable price. The hidden cost is that I had kept my schedule open for hours this week in anticipation of delivery and therefore lost money in work time. I had gotten so stressed from this whole ordeal (3 times they changed the delivery date on me) I have literally fallen ill. I had to reschedule numerous times with my professional organizer because we were waiting on this dresser to move forward with our project, and she therefore lost time and expected wages for this week. It's been frustrating. Finally, I had to tell her, "I just don't know what's going to happen." And now, I have my dresser. It weighs close to 250 pounds. I am 5 ft tall and 110lbs. I am swimming in a sea of cardboard and styrofoam because unboxing and helping you move your heavy ass furniture into its final location was apparently not part of the available services. Lol. The furniture is great. The delivery issues may have been a fluke for this family company (note that there is one guy delivering, and he drives a hatchback). I gave Omar a hard time. Don't waste your time or money. We ordered a dining table and couches from here one week before our move in date. He told us it would be delivered in a week which was perfect since that's when we were moving in. We did not get our dining table until 1 MONTH later. And that's because we were constantly calling and texting him. He never once called us to update us and let us know what was happening. So many times he never responded to texts or phone calls. Our couch we got in two weeks instead of one. AND on top of it all, we were being told that we weren't understanding. The owner has obviously no respect for his paying customers because the way he spoke (almost a yell) to us, is not professional.
