Convenience store had tons of drink options - coffee, sodas, beer, slushy coffee, etc! There's fountain and bottled selections. They have a ton of snacks to pick from. You can even get nachos, popcorn, candied nuts in a cone, hot dogs, and Little Caesars pizza. People very friendly who were restocking shelves and at the cashier. This is an easy off, easy on location right off of I-95. A one stop shop, you've got gas, food, drinks, and a small dog area to walk your furry friends. It is a busy location (due to the location), so finding an empty pump can be difficult at first. Low on gas or time for a break and we always seem to find our way to the Davis Travel Center in Stony Creek Virginia. The location is located just far enough from home that when we get close its usually time for a break. We don't usually plan it that way but this fuel stop is in just the right place for travelers from Maryland heading south and or returning from the Carolina beaches. Seems like its always crowded which is usually a good sign, the restrooms are above average and there is ton of convenience items in the store to keep busy travelers satisfied. Drinks, snacks, auto stuff is well stocked. The fuel price at the pump was also lower than most other we saw and that might have had something to do with the popularity. If youre in need a break, this place has cheap fuel, restrooms and snacks. Just right for quick stop off the highway. read more

The cleanest, freshest smelling stop off of 95 o have been to. Well stocked with a variety of goods and consumables. Has a Starbucks and Subway in same building. My only complaint (no fault of Davis's) is the jerks that pump their gas and leave their car sit at the pumps while they go inside. There are plenty of parking spots to pull into after you pump your gas. read more

Lots of gas pumps and parking. Area for dogs to rest as well. Only reason for the 4 star rather than 5 star review -- either my Starbucks coffee isn't really Starbucks, or it is watered down. It has a wide variety of items to choose from and it's very spacious though someone decided to invade my personal space (customer) but thanks to Kenia for saving me from having to Kung Fu punch someone (just kidding). Stop here for gas (Exxon) and to use restroom on a weekday nights. This is probably one of the best "travel center" I have stopped on the east coast. The restroom is clean. The food bar and the drink brew area are also clean. The cashiers are very friendly and nice. I feel very welcome here. The place literary have almost everything. From large foods/snacks to drinks to road supplies to different device car charger to some car replacement parts (ie: windshield wipers, anti freeze fluids, etc) to souvenirs. They have 24/7 Starbucks and I think the Subway is also 24/7. If I travel down south again, I would definitely try to make this one of my stop. read more

If I could give this location 0 stars I would! We have been coming to this location for the past years. Today our AC went out I pulled into a fuel lane. No I wasn't going to fuel. And it wasn't busy. I only wanted to stay there and change drivers. A guy approached me and said if not fueling I had to back out. Mind you I am a female and this big biker looking type guy approached me. I was going inside to purchase something while my husband change drivers. So I proceeded to get out of the truck and this gentleman Bill came barreling at me screaming telling me that I better move my truck right now. Again at that point I'm shaking. He could've approached this differently. I then told him as he was screaming that my husband was moving the truck. It's a holiday week they weren't busy. I normally park out of the way when I stop here. (sometimes twice a day) and I'm a very loyal customer.If your general manager has nothing better to do than to monitor the fuel line. Well then he's not managing very well, he should have employees out there doing it. I think I'm going to have to reconsider stopping here if this is the way you treat loyal customers . A loyal customer should not be treated this way. And furthermore female should not be approached by a man this way. First time in the 2 years I've stopped here that I saw this guy. High at signs need updating. Highway sign says Starbucks 24 hrs and subway 24hrs but they are not. Here at 0418 and they are both closed. Was looking forward to a good coffee and a sandwich but not today. Got a coffee from the gas station and mediocre at best. Am tired and was needing to refuel some energy to finish my trip. I travel between Richmond and the Triangle a lot and Davis Center is a nice place to stop by since they have clean bathrooms and a big mini-mart (kinda contradictory, but it's not a grocery store and not a mini-mart =P). They're open 24/7 and that includes the Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks and if you can give me sugar and caffeine during my long drive, you're good in my book! They've also got a cute little dog park (use at your own risk) for dogs to want to run around a bit to stretch their legs. It's also great for dogs that won't go about their business on a leash. I'll rotate between taking I-85 and I-95, but you can hit a Davis Center from either highway. There's one off of exit 39 off of I-85 and this particular one is off exit 33 off of I-95. I don't usually stop here for gas (unless I'm feeling lazy and don't want to stop a second time during my trip) because gas is pricier here--the cost of convenience! If you're on I-95, I'd stop at exit 45 for gas. read more

We stop here regularly. It has it all...We get gas, take a bathroom break for us and grab a snack or food (drink), but we really love it for our dogs to do their business in a dedicated area just for pets! It is very clean, inside and out...especially the modern bathrooms. It has good lighting at night, plenty of covered gas pumps and it is very easy on/off access. The dog park is fenced and has a double gate system. They provide "pickup bags" and a disposal center for easy cleanup. It is located to the left of Subway (and Starbucks). It is mowed regularly, and there are two long benches for humans, a tree and even a fake fire hydrant, well done! Popeyes is next door (always check your order prior to driving off, trust me!!) and there is also a Deny's too. read more

Great little place to stop for a few. This is the only gas station I have seen that has a dog park! My dog was so happy and so was I. The restrooms are cleaner than most places. That was a pleasant surprise. The attendants are friendly enough and there are a few choices if you are hungry (Starbucks, subway, and then the gas station). The last star is missing because they hike up the price of gas here due to being right off 95. I really despise that! Just don't use shady practices and charge a fair amount for gas! However the other things we love about this place more than make up for the lack of great gas prices! read more

Davis is a decent highway stop along 95. But here is a dirty little secret. Gas is often about 20 cents cheaper about 20 minutes ahead if you are staying on 95 straight through Richmond heading north. I stopped here because I was pretty much running on fumes and might not have made that 20 minutes. So it was out of necessity. I was pleasantly surprised, though. This place is very clean. Everyone is friendly. The convenience store portion is like most. My favorite part of this stop was that they had a Starbucks. Let me tell you, it was one of the high points of my trip as I am addicted to Iced Caramel Machiatos. But, I will review them separately. It was a decent stop. Clean. Friendly. Decent place with nice options other than convenience store. Misses a 4 star because of the gas price. read more

This was an awesome place to stop. They have different types of food, fuel, coffee, drinks and even games. The best part about it was the little dog park they have out front. This is rare to see that you have an actual enclosed area for dogs to play in instead of staying on the leash the whole time. Not only were the bathrooms clean but they have a DOG PARK. I'm traveling with a small dog who needs to stretch her legs. Normally, I take her out on a leash and she can walk around on whatever grassy areas I can find. But Davis has an actual dog park. I can't even stress how helpful this is! Stopped here on our way back from the Myrtle Beach area en route to Baltimore. Desperately needed a coffee and bathroom break and this fit the bill perfectly. Clean with ample space for everyone. Starbucks was Starbucks which is PM always amazing. Also stopped in the market for some snacks and had one of the weirdest experiences ever. Basically I guess the two sides of the stop have differing gas stations, and you can pay inside the market but have to pay on the side you're getting gas at (?). As someone unfamiliar with the location this would have been news to me, as it was the guest in front of me. He tried to pay for his gas and the cashier said she couldn't help him as she only could help with the stations on her side. The guy was confused, but became unnecessarily rude and accused her of being racist for not helping him. After he finally walked away her distaste for him was clear. She then proceeded to tell my friend and I how she would very much like to "kick him in the nuts". We laughed bc, well, it was funny. Then she went on to tell us about how she would also like to kick her step-son in the nuts until he couldn't procreate, quite possibly 'doing the world a favor' in the process. At this point we were like "Um can we pay for our snacks?" and I couldn't resist trying to sneak in "...also we parked over there and need gas..." but my friend started hitting me and the woman, still enraged, didn't even hear/comprehend my joke. This was months ago and my friend and I still talk about this woman almost daily. Go pay her a visit, but please park on the correct side if getting gas. read more
