When I called, the phone was answered promptly, and I was able to make an appointment for a few days later. (I left messages for another local salon, and they never returned my calls. So kudos to Davis White!) They texted reminders which is always appreciated. The salon is very clean and inviting with comfy chairs and a sofa. They also have a tea/coffee beverage center and mints. Our stylist, Irena, was pleasant and very polite. We never felt rushed. We had never been here before, and I was nervous - women and their hair ya know! However, Irena listened carefully to how I wanted my hair cut. She is meticulous and really concentrates on what she is doing. I was very happy with my cut and the way she styled it. Usually, I get home and redo my hair but I didn't have to do anything. She also cut my husband's hair, and he was very satisfied. It's amazing how many stylists can't cut a man's hair correctly. Had SUCH an amazing experience with Kelsey!! Poor thing had food poisoning the day before but still kept my appointment the next day. I was in from out of town visiting my parents who had just moved here and was referred by one of their friends - they fit me in for a cut and balayage and it was exactly what I wanted. Salon was extremely clean, staff was very professional and friendly. Irena cut my hair and she was amazing! I have never had someone take so much time and put so much care into cutting and styling my hair. She paid such attention to making sure that everything was even and cut properly. After a horrible experience at a different salon a previous year while snowbirding from Wisconsin, a friend recommended Davis White Salon. What a wonderful experience. I called on Friday and got an appointment on Monday. I was greeted immediately upon entering. I was 10 minutes early, but my stylist, Kim Humphrey, was ready for me. She was pleasant and not only listened to what I wanted but HEARD me. She was gentle and methodical and I felt like I was the only one in the room with her. Kim's focus was on me and my hair; not distracted by others in the salon. I felt like a queen. The cut was perfect. The style was perfect. No water in the ears. No blow dryer burning my ears. I just moved here from Atlanta and someone referred me to Kim Humphrey at Davis White salon in Foley. I must say my hair has NEVER looked this good. Of all the fancy and overpriced salons I went to in Atlanta; none of them compared to the cut and color I received from Kim. I do low lights and highlights and it's always hard to get the correct balance on that coloring (not too light or too dark)- but Kim did a perfect job!! Called here to make an appt on a Tuesday to get an appt on Wed. I requested an updo for my wedding later that day. I told them I had some clip in extensions I would like the stylist to put in my hair, prior tithe updo. Receptionist that took my call asked what kind of extensions they were( I asked what difference it made) she informed me the stylist only worked with one type of brand extensions. So there was a little back and forth on my part as to why she would not use my clips, considering I was paying her for the updo. I was staying at my mother's condo in Orange Beach for a few days, working remotely, so I was inside most of the day and there is a wall of mirrors near the dining room table where my "office" was set up so I had a pretty much unrestricted view of my hair all the time. By the third day I could no longer stand looking at my straggly hair, so I went to Yelp to find a salon with good reviews. I saw several for Davis White so I called and got an appointment that very day with Kris. The salon was easy to find in an attractive plaza on the Parkway, and very clean on the inside. Kris sat me in a chair to discuss the look I wanted and I told her to just give me a low maintenance style that would fit my face. She ended up deciding a bob would be good and I agreed, so she shaped and styled my hair and I love it! Kris was professional and friendly and she really made sure the look suited me and fit my maintenance abilities! She told my how to style it with the tools I currently own, so I am able to maintain the look on my own. I really recommend this salon, and Kris is a wonderful stylist!! read more

Went today after reading reviews, with almost medium length, frizzy, bushy hair that I had been growing for about 9 months to see how it would be. Had been styling with short hair for 20 + years, and since entering my 60's felt I needed a change to longer(what was I thinking?). Kris took great care of me, asking me what I would like for a style. I showed her a former picture of me and simply said, just no shorter than this, use your ideas. Mind you, I have very thick hair so if it isn't quite right, I don't worry as I can crunch and comb differently and usually have no problem. She colored my gray roots and the rest of my hair a gentle golden brown(my hair was bleached from the sun to a golden blonde) which looked fabulous! Then she cut.....to a beautiful fun, sassy, cut, giving me a great feeling that I could easily handle my hair and look great! There were many comments as I left the salon as to how super it looked, how much hair there was on the floor and what a great job she did! I agree! Thank you, Kris! Keep up,the great work! I am new to the area, and found myself in severe need of a color and cut. My hair stylist in Kentucky has done my hair for the past 21 years, and up until now he was the ONLY stylist I had ever visited. I looked online and found Davis White Salon, and was encouraged by the reviews. I called and was very excited to be able to see Kris the next day. I needed highlights and had a very specific request as to the cut and style, since I am still trying to work with my hair after having lost it all to chemo last year. Kris did EXACTLY what I asked, and I am thrilled with the results. She is very focused on her clients, writing down notes regarding the products she used and what she did.
