My dad went into hospital at such a high frequency because of this clinic . Nurse Josephine…read morecancelled a dialysis appointment and he ended up in hospital the next day. His driver even put in a complaint against the clinic. A transfer out of the clinic was requested. The hospital asked that the clinic document how much fluid was being pulled. This request was like pulling teeth. They were obstructive and gave all kinds of excuses before they finally started documenting. My dad's arm started swelling up during one session and dialysis was ended in 2 hours. No callback to complete dialysis was done. Fluid remained in body. He went into hospital again 2 days later for confusion. The hospital asked if he'd missed dialysis because so much fluid had built up in him. The hospital nephrologist recommended slow dialysis ie longer time . They did not follow any recommendations or respond to emails about this. My mum passed away on the day he was discharged from rehab. He was grief-stricken . He was unable to left his own body weight on what turned out to be his final day at the clinic. The driver asked for assistance. The nurse sent a message saying 'we don't do that' . I was called by the distressed driver who didn't know he was going to get dialysis . I had to drive there to assist. When I got there , I saw that my dad had his eyes closed . I went into the clinic and firmly asked the nurse to look at my dad . Only then did the nurse step outside to look . She then called 911. This is an unsafe clinic. My dad had no issues with either of the two clinics he was treated at previously. His high rate of hospitalisations due to issues at dialysis had a huge hand in his rapid decline . He ultimately passed away. It is so sad. If only he'd been transferred back in January.

Our loved one was transferred to the Kindred Northwest location over a week ago and is currently in…read moreICU. We arrived here with known lung issues, expecting the Doctors to continue treatment while also communicating some kind of current status and plan for care. Unfortunately, not the case. After discussing the issue with several different leaders and asking for a plan, they had none. We then requested CT scans, the Lung Doctor saw the results and recommended antibiotics. However, the Infectious Control Doctor reviewed the scan and noticed mucous plugs. Why didn't the lung expert notice the plugs? Why did we have to advocate so hard to get an updated status of her lungs and request tests? Why were they not continuing her care based off the discharge paperwork from the previous hospital? This is disappointing considering we are talking about someone health who can't speak for themselves. Where did the transition communication breakdown from one facility to another? I feel bad for those that don't have anyone to speak up on their behalf. It wasn't like we didn't do our research before choosing this facility, Not the experience we were expecting.
