Great staff (ie cast), fun drinks and full bar and underrated Disney drinking locale. Whether you're at Animal Kingdom on vacation visiting the park, or looking to change up the bar crawl experience; a stop at Dawa is amust. Try the Ngumu Jungle Juice!

Very very pleasant bar. Great if you can snag a bar seat - equally as good to sit at the high tables. It's the perfect place to take a some time to relax amidst the hustle and bustle of the park.

Dawson bar in Animal Kingdom is small and service spotty especially when they are short staffed with only one bar tender. The bar stools on the far side are often closed off and the front of the bar no longer have stools to make room for to go orders. It's more like a quick service bar rather than one you can actually sit at and have a drink. And they also stopped carrying beers from Africa absent one brand which just separates the experience from a bar in Africa to a kiosk window for drinks. If a seat is open I'll stay and have a drink or two, if not I'll pass.

I was hyped to try their Lion's Fury since we were there during the Earth day celebrations last month. It's supposed to be jungle juice and Red Stag with a Fireball float. Pictures made it look like a beautiful sunset with a cherry. I watched the bartender spray something on tap into a cup. No cherry. He told me they didn't have cherries. Took a sip. Tasted the "jungle juice" (mostly just pineapple as it turns out) and Red Stag, no hint of Fireball. Looked bad, tasted bad. Bartender's attitude was kind of bad, too. Especially for WDW. Apparently it's best to stick to lounges like the Nomad Lounge at Animal Kingdom or the Brown Derby Lounge at Hollywood studios for a decent cocktail and good service.

This is a must-stop bar on a visit to Animal Kingdom. They have a full bar and make great drinks.

This bar that's located inside Animal Kingdom is the best spot to hit up for adults who like a good drink. Drinks - Great selection of signature drinks, alchohol selection, beer selection and pours are good too. Prices - Fair prices for an amusement park. Staff - People here are friendly but can step up the game compared to the rest of the park. Maybe cause of the bar tenders but not sure. Seating - They have plenty of room to accommodate a decent amount of people. Restroom - They have some available right across from the bar. Overall great place and a must if you go here.

So this is one of our favorite spots in Animal Kingdom to have a drink. It can be hard to actually get a seat at the bar and drink but it is pretty cool to take a break here. It is in a good spot to people watch as well as watch the shows that go on every so often. Service can be a little slow as the bartenders are covering the bar and walk ups and I don't think I have ever seen more than 2 working. Some interesting options for drinks and beers to be had.

Best walk-up bar in Animal Kingdom! Skip the other one in Asia and go here instead for better quality (stronger) drinks. The Lost of Safari drink is amazing!

Near the entrance to Africa in the Animal Kingdom is Dawa Bar. Nice place to stop and get a refreshing beverage and take a break in the shade. Not a lot of seating, but they do have tall tables for standing. My favorite here is the Sugar Cane Mojito. Great Mojito served with a stick of sugar cane. We've not had any other drinks other than the Mojito, so can't speak to them, but they do have a full bar and are always busy.

This is my favorite beer on Disney property. It is Safari Amber Ale made by Anheuser Busch for Disney.

This is a definite stop for me anytime I am visiting Animal Kingdom. Great bartenders and such a relaxing spot to sit and enjoy a nice cold beer. So glad they are open during Covid. You can remove your mask only while actively eating or drinking and stationary!

This is a wonderful bar near the entrance to the Africa side of the Animal Kingdom. Whenever we're at this park we always stop by to have a drink at the bar and relax for a bit. I love ordering their bloody Mary's because they're so refreshing, a bit spicy, and strong. The Sugar Cane Mojito is great and the Tusker beer was really good too. There's plenty of shade and it's a nice place to stop by and relax while you listen or watch the performers. There's a lot of seating everywhere you shouldn't have trouble finding a place to relax for a bit and it's perfect place on a hot day. There's rarely ever a line here. I've usually walked right up to the counter and the longest I've waited was less than 5 minutes. Bartenders are very gays and efficient when making your drinks and there's usually always 2 people behind the counter.

Not a whole lot to say about this great bar located next to yet part of Tusker House. They're an outdoor bar, but it's completely shaded there. There are plenty of seats either up at the actual bar or one of the tables. They feature lots of different types and qualities of liquor, but also beer, wine, and mixed drinks. This is a great place to sit, socialize, and pass the time while you are either waiting to dine at Tusker House or maybe provide a nice respite from the crowds! This place is also great for people watching or a great place to relax, imbibe, and also watch either the parade or perhaps the Harambe Dancers!....shhhhhhh!!!!

I know there are a few locations but we planned to stop at this location specifically during a last min birthday staycation (but not *on* my brthday) If you look online this routinly is on lists of date night and good group dining spots and there will inevitably be a ton of people in the comments complaining about it being "mid" or "basic" but that wasn't our experience at all. We had a great experience here. We initially booked for the first time of our staycation but called last min to push back a few days as I wasn't feeling very well. It was no issue at all and they changed our reservation without issue or complaints & wished me well. The space is really cool. MCM in design with a touch of California beach bungalow. We were seated in a back room with a view of the lake behind. It was a bit loud but most places are these days. I am deaf in one of my ears so one I told our server & she spoke up over the noise and it was a non-issue. Appreciated because that's not always the case. We ordered a glass of wine and the "Shirley After Dark" cocktail (I know it's a wine bar but I just felt like a cocktail) loved it. Would absolutely order it again. We ordered the house salad which was far from basic and delicious and fresh. Very light and decent size. My husband also aired the Cauliflower app which was massive. The hummus was delicious. I'm not a fan of cauliflower but he raved about it. We also split the Butchers Pizza and had them out the hot honey on the side. I can't do spice after destroying my stomach in college so they brought me a side of normal honey so I could hector full flavor profile within my dietary needs. We got to speaking with our server whose name I unfortunately can't remember (light blonde shoulder length hair if management reads this) & she was very knowledgeable about the wine selection. We're not white wine drinkers but the FL heat is a little too much for a glass of red most days so we're trying to get into it. She had 3 recommendations and brought me all three to taste. Unfortunatly I enjoyed was sold out by the time we ordered it (which at the height of tourist summer isn't beyond the realm of reasonability) We then ordered the affogato and olive oil cake. Both were delicious. It was my husband's first time trying an affogato and it has since become a favorite of his. It was mentioned in passing while chatting that we were in a last min staycation as it was my birthday week and we didn't plan anything in advance and made it clear it was not my birthday but she still comped my cocktail and the olive oil cake and wrote a lighthearted "sorry we were out of the wine" on our receipt. Which was a genuinely nice & unexpected gesture. The entire meal was quite affordable even before anything got comped compared with other options of the same caliber in the area. Portons are quite large as well. While I don't love communal tables typically, almost no one was seated at the same table and if they were it was quite far apart (see photos). I can see that being bothersome on a busy night but we were there on a summer night (busy enough to run out of a wine) so I can't imagine it being typically worse than that So I say again, I don't understand what people don't like about this place. We'll be back.

When I opened it, I found a shirt that read, "I'd Rather Be at Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar," along with flyers for the Halloween and Christmas events. That discovery led me to this wonderfully themed bar. This is a double review covering both the Halloween and Christmas events. These events used to be relatively easy to attend, but thanks to social media influencers, they have become extremely popular. The lines can get enormous, especially from Friday through Sunday. My advice is to visit Tuesday through Thursday and arrive early. The food was great, and the presentation--especially for the Halloween offerings--was fantastic and definitely Instagram-worthy. The specialty drinks were delicious and surprisingly strong for a Disney restaurant, although they do come with the expected Disney price tag. I've also visited when the bar wasn't decorated for a holiday, and it was still a great time. The regular food offerings are just as good, and the portions are fairly generous. The standard drinks are also perfectly enjoyable. If the weather isn't too hot, I recommend sitting outside by the lake. You'll have a beautiful view of the boats passing by, and the scenery around sunset is incredible. A fantastic spot for food, drinks, atmosphere, and the occasional archaeological revelation.
