Review Draft: Day and Night Plumbing Rating: (1/5) I strongly advise looking elsewhere if you have a time-sensitive or urgent repair. We scheduled Day and Night Plumbing two weeks in advance to handle an urgent repair at our hall rental facility. On the day of the appointment, they called to confirm they were on their way. However, 30 minutes later, they called back to cancel entirely. The reason? They claimed they "just realized" it was too cold and the ground might be frozen. As a professional plumbing company, the weather and ground conditions should have been factored into their schedule long before the actual arrival time. To cancel an urgent job after already being "en route" is unprofessional and left our facility in a difficult position. Very disappointed in their lack of reliability and foresight. read more

I would never recommend this company my land had them come out for a furnace issue and they were called back out numerous times for a gas leak because they didn't make sure the pipes were sealed prior to leaving. Then when they were called we were told they would be out next day, totally unprofessional and unsafe. read more

I had water that keeps backing up into my basement every time it rains it the snow melts. They were recommended by my neighbor. They came out within a 2 1/2 hours of calling and after a few hours they were able to clear all drainage lines. They charge extra for after hours which on Fridays is 2, but they were reliable and got the job done, friendly and efficient. read more

I agree with the other review, they do not know a thing about plumbing. I paid $170 for a diagnosis that was completely wrong. The owner was the one who came out. My master bathroom had a leak somewhere. He said my tub was leaking and separate shower stall was not leaking. I had 2 other estimates from other companies and they said he was 100% wrong. I literally use the tub every day and it's not leaking. Also, he turned my shower on full blast and the water was leaking in the pipes above my living room. The water had nowhere to go so it soaked my drywall and created more damage (because he didn't open up ceiling). Secretary who answers phone is super nice until you say something she doesn't agree with. When I told her their diagnosis is wrong i was yelled at and laughed at. Also, he was commenting on pictures I have in my bedroom of myself - I find super creepy he was looking at my bedroom that closely. He noticed my pictures, but didn't notice the 2nd bathroom that he had to walk by a bunch of times. I would steer clear of this company, they are not nice people to deal with and their knowledge of plumbing is poor. Plus, they created more damage to my drywall by turning water on full blast without opening ceiling. The other companies needed to see into the ceiling to properly diagnose. That's too bad because I need a plumber quite often with my rental properties. I feel I got ripped off!!! My $170 idown the drain (no pun intended). read more

I got that call every landlord dreads from a tenant on Saturday morning - "there's a sewer smell coming up from the basement". Sure enough there was a blockage somewhere and some sewer water in the basement. Long story short, Day and Night was there within two hours and solved the problem quickly, then snaked the whole drain to clean out roots that were slowing the flow. I am very impressed with this company. We are relatively new to the Buffalo area and we found ourselves in a situation that needed a plumber. The first place I called couldn't get anyone out to us for an estimate until 4 days after the initial call. I called Day & Night and spoke with Tracy, who was professional, knowledgeable and on top of her game. She told me she would have someone there that day, called (as promised) right at 3 PM to let me know the status and told me John, the owner was on his way. John assessed and fixed the problem. This is going to be another review with a weird commentary. My star rating is based solely on personality of the plumber. There are two that generally visit and they both have personalities of, well, an opinionated weasel. The work is good. I have never had an issue with anything that Day/Night has done other than the stuff that comes out of the plumber mouths! One had difficulty working in my basement because my cat's litters boxes are there! HELLO!!! What do you deal in?? Raw sewage coming up from my drain is a tad more ripe that scented kitty litter hiding a few gems! I've had attitude and instructions - lose the cats!!! - and I don't call them anymore. I don't. If you can deal with critique and attitude, this is the place to call. read more

This is the second time I've used Day & Night Plumbing and the second time I've been impressed. Needed a new hot water tank installed. Called when they said they would, arrived when they said they would. Barron was the service man and was very polite, very efficient and left the work area very clean. He was a good representative for the company. The price was what John told me over the phone. I didn't bother calling any others as I knew the service I was getting would be better than most and though the jobs are not inexpensive, I think the price was fair and let's face it- if you want cheap, buy cheap. We needed some serious help with the plumbing as neither of us are adept in this department. Micheal, the gentleman who arrived on time was very pleasant from the inception of his visit to the very end. His work ethics were above par and he was very accommodating with answering our inquiries as well as explaining what he was doing. Prior to his visit we also had a wonderful time setting up the appointment with Tracy. My friend talked her ear off with so many stories of how the old days used to be. However, she genuinely became involved with the conversation. It was so pleasant to talk to someone who is not trained to be robotic and more human than ever. You did a splendid job of hiring both Michael and Tracy. Well, he spent most of the afternoon into the evening focusing on resolving our issues with the sinks, a new toilet to be installed, a leaky tub, a dripping kitchen faucet, and two bathroom sinks which were not draining properly. The price was right and very reasonable. We even recommended Day and Night Plumbing to our next door neighbors. They already have an appointment for next week. This company is true to its description on its website. We look forward to having usage of their services again possibly in the very near future. Although I have done business in the past with this company, this last transaction has left me totally outraged. I called for a person to clear out a bathtub drain. The person came on time at 4PM on a weekday. ( I know this is considered evening hours. ) He was there one-half hour. THE TOTAL BILL CAME TO $277.31 SNAKE OUT A TUB AND BATHROOM SINK. I had a great experience with this company. I can't say much about price because my landlord dealt with that. However, the plumber that came was very nice, not unprofessional at all. He brought the piece I needed ahead of time, but unfortunately the one I needed was uncommon. He made some calls,left to get it, came back after 20 mins. This is a top flight, professional company with superb service, knowledgeable, honest workers and great prices. I have used them twice now and each time I've had terrific guys doing efficient work.
