I rate this place a 3 because there is some work to be done to get this market ramped up and really stocked with goodies. I visited during the weekly Saturday 9 am to 1 pm hours to find a small handful of vendors. There were several arts and crafts stands, a masseuse, and a couple of jelly/preserves sellers. There were a few produce vendors, but selection was pretty limited. I did get some nice locally grown squash. I'm not sure how much the limited selection had to do with the horrific summer we've had or if it was the newness of the market. My favorite vendor was Richardson Farms. They were offering free range eggs, chicken, pork products (including fresh uncured bacon), and grass fed beef. The eggs and pork we bought were reasonably priced and freaking delicious. This isn't yet a major farmer's market, so some visitors might be a bit disappointed with the selection. It is my hope that this one will pick up momentum and draw more shoppers and vendors.

There was only about 9 vendors there but there was enough stuff to make a few meals all around. Fresh baked breads and organic pastas, fresh veggies such as squash, maters, taters, and onions, jellies, salsas, farm raised meats, and even cupcakes for dessert! Not to mention some jewelry, honey and pralines. Living out in the hinterlands of Cedar Park, I was super stoked to find out about this (thanks Chris S!). I haven't found any CSA's to deliver to my house, but I can now order from some of these folks online and then pick up on Saturdays here. And it beats the hell outta getting up early Saturdays and driving all the way to San Antonio (aka Sunset Valley). Richardson Farms provides grass fed beef and pork and chicken, and another stall had what's called "design your dine" with pre-frozen fresh organic dinners that you just thaw out and cook and they say each one is only about 500 calories. Came home with some zukes, some pasta, a coupla pork chops and some fanfreakintasticly fresh pico de gallo from Kala's Kuisine, which apparently has won 2 years in a row now at the Hot Sauce Festival (and I can see why). I would encourage all my fellow Northerners to check this out.....but I still wanna keep it my own private farmers market. Enigma.

There's a nice playground a couple of great food options. I went with the Chinese food today and had this amazing Chinese pancake feel like it was served to me by a father and son duo very nice service and it was really good! I came here looking for something good for lunch that was different and that's exactly what I found . I also bought some gluten-free bread and cauliflower tortillas. I can't wait to try them! And a lemon bar for later!

This small farmers market kicks off every Tuesday at 3 PM and goes until 7 PM. It used to be in the…read moreparking lot of Heritage Park, but now it is located behind the swimming pool in a large red barn. Inside you'll find about 20 vendors, with a variety of many different offerings from jerky, jewelry, honey, breads, woodworking, and meats to name a few. It's definitely a good farmers market to visit, although it lacks the wow factorof some of the larger farmer markets that I've been to. Plenty of informative photos to get you here.

On top of that you're paying for what is probably better in terms of ingredients used as well as time put into making whatever food/item you're purchasing. Definitely worth checking out! They have such a great selection…read moreof everything from fresh vegetables and fruit, seafood, meats, gourmet popcorn, art, coffee, dog food, CBD, plants and flowers...you walk in for one thing and will walk out with everything. We purchased wild salmon fillets and they were delicious. The popcorn, bread and skittles didn't even last 5 days in my house. The prices are reasonable and every vendor is friendly and willing to answer any questions and some even give you taste tests!! Check them out!

In the chance that anything isn't exactly right they go over and above to make it right. They even worked with us when we took a two-week vacation! Superb customer service! I also like that it takes the guesswork out of our weekly meals and that we get a good variety of produce each week. We also enjoy their eggs and ground beef! Can't wait to see what the fall crops bring us!

Trying Bar 3 Ranch meat had been on our family's bucket list for years, and finally, this past…read moreOctober, we managed to snag a half cow for this spring. When our date got closer, Jeff sent over the final weight for our share, and it caught me off guard because it was so much bigger than the past shares we've gotten through other local farms. As it turns out, there's a reason. When we picked up our meat, we found Jeff excited to share how he raises and feeds his cows and why, ultimately, his meat is far superior. (He didn't say as much, but as you can see by the photo, it's incredibly clear that there's no comparison.) We learned more about the care and feeding of cows that afternoon than we thought possible but we loved every minute. He was also great with our kids, taking them to see and pet his horses. Afterwards, he even called me to share his favorite recipe for flanken ribs. But how does it TASTE, you ask? As a reformed 25+ year vegetarian, I can't stand the smell of most grassfed beef that has come into this house. (We've done multiple cow shares before through other ranches, all the same - the smell is nauseating.) Bar 3 Ranch, though... totally different. There is NO gamey smell, no gamey taste and my husband gives me the side eye now because he has to share his steaks with me. It's GOOD. Like, REALLY GOOD. Words are probably not going to do this justice, so I'm attaching a photo of the difference between Jeff's meat and our last half cow from another/local ranch. There is just no comparison.

He explained all the unique things he learned in Argentina on how to properly raise cows. I could have listened to him talk about it for hours. The meat looks incredible and the marbling is amazing. I can't wait to cook something up this evening! I would highly recommend getting your beef from Bar 3 Ranch!!
