Richardson Farms produces only open pasture grass fed cattle and free range pork, chicken and eggs to local Farmers Markets and restaurants. I have been purchasing their eggs at the Sunset Valley Farmers Market for the past couple years. These eggs have made me an egg snob - I just can not eat store bought eggs anymore unless they are being mixed into something else. I can boil their eggs and they taste so fresh it would be a sin to salt them - 4.00 a dozen and totally worth the splurge! This past Saturday I purchased a whole chicken at 3.50 per LB. I fed the organs and most of the dark meat to my dogs raw and boiled the rest to make a broth to store for a future soup and used the meat in chicken lettuce wraps. 14.00 worth of chicken that will make many separate meals. I poured some of the broth in a coffee cup and sipped on it straight no seasoning and so rich - yum! They also sell Pork Belly by the slab or LB at 5.00 per LB.

So, for me I want to know my farmer and I'd highly recommend Mike Richardson and his family.

Opted for the mashed potatoes and green beans, gravy on the steak, and it was like I was a kid again, eating at relative's houses way back when. Nothing super fancy, just good honest food! Tip: if you go to pay on the cafe side, and they're too busy, you can go over to the store side and pay there.

On the other side is the restaurant with a lot of good atmosphere to go along with it. I had the breakfast plate with Over Medium eggs, sausage and potatoes. Potatoes were over cooked on one side, sausage was not hot as it just came off the grill, eggs were perfect. Wife had Sausage and Gravy with biscuits, this was nothing memorable to here did not jump out to here. Our friend had the omelette, which was very large and it seemed to be alright from here stand point. Service was great waitress was Johnny on the spot for anything we may have needed. thank you.

This is the best honey in Texas, if not the entire US. We finally made it to visit the official farm this weekend for the summer trivia night - it was a blast! Our family had so much fun. The staff and other trivia attendees were incredible, good sports, and by the end of trivia we felt like we were part of the Walker honey family. It was fun to visit the shop - we loved seeing the live bees making honey, we got to sample all different honey flavors, and the shop had many unique things that we ended up bringing some home with us - honey soaps, honey sticks, praline candy, books on wildflowers, kitchen gear, etc. The food and all of the drinks we tried were also very good. We tried the honey sodas - butterbeer and honey root beer - both great. The meadarita also excellent. If you get a charcuterie tray - definitely add the honeycomb for $3!! It's a must try. You might end up bringing a whole extra one home after trying it. The spinach and garlic dip with tortilla chips - also great. We have no complaints - what an awesome experience! Definitely hoping they host more Saturday trivia nights in the future.
