We're visiting HH and working remotely, so when my Apple MacBook Pro wouldn't charge, I was in a panic. Called several places. Most assumed it was a dead battery and said it would be into the next week before it could be fixed. Steve ordered a battery that would arrive 2 days later just in case that WAS the issue, to get me up and running asap. He then took a close look and discovered that other cleanup would solve the problem. Checked the battery and said it was ok. If I could give 10 stars, I would. For my new MacBook Air, I used Day Web to set it up an transfer everything from my old MacBook Pro. It was great to find someone local that I could work with one on one. Steve was easy to communicate with and really knows the Apple products as well as windows machines. He quickly and efficiently set up the new machine, imported all my data and even installed the new version of MS office for me. We took my daughters computer to Steve and Phoebe because of a keyboard issue. Though they were not able to work on the computer they helped my daughter navigate Apples tech division. December 1, 2018 Called DAYWEB TECHSUPPORT on Hilton Head and spoke with Steve (owner). Explained 2012 MACBOOK Pro had urine damage, won't turn on. Steve said "I charge $80 an hour, shouldn't take long to open it and dry it out, maybe a few hours." Laptop owner met Steve and gave him laptop for repairs, data recovery. Steve was given permission to update the OS. Dec 3, 2018 3:10pm Steve texted me: "Amazing news ..... Macbook is working fine .... rebooted it to confirm ... discounted $100 to reduce repair down to $299. Dec 3, 2018 4:54pm Steve texted me: "There was no way we could know how much damage there was until we opened up. Removed SSD to recover the data (as requested) ... separately the drying, cleaning and corrosion process was started immediately .... Then more components were disassembled and the corrosion removed. ..... We were fortunately we did all the right things in a very timely and professional manner. ..... It was obvious additional effort was needed.... to remove the corrosion which would have shorted the circuit boards. Our fastidious work was fruitful .... it was done imediately, professionally and very fairly price for the amount of additional work required and successful outcome, which was never taken for granted. Dec 5, 2018 I notify TECHSUPPORT Wi-Fi/Blue Tooth does not work, nor does right side USB port. Dec 10, 2018 2:25pm Steve texts me: .... most likely it's the WiFi card which is one of the components that was corroded. .... It's either that or the mother board. ... you provide part and I'll install and test for no charge. " Dec 18, 2015 I return MACBOOK to TECHSUPPORT, Steve is sick at home. Assistant Phoebe installs Wi-Fi card (after I have to instruct her the bottom panel screws are special pentalobe screws which she didn't know about and can't find the tool for). She tells me I must leave the computer, I can't watch the repair. Two hours later, WiFi card is installed, still no right side USB port. I'll have to leave the computer again to have Steve look at that, for additional money. As she explained several times to me, TECHSUPPORT is a service business and must charge for repairs. Bottom line: TECHSUPPORT (Steve) knew the problem was urine contamination when he made the quote of "shouldn't take long, maybe several hours". Steve knew he had to disassemble the computer to wash it out. Steve knew components had to be cleaned to prevent corrosion. Steve knew (should have known) how long it takes to clean out the innards of a MD212ll/a when he made the repair quote. Original but now non-operating WiFi card was green with corrosion, (after only 10 days after being completely and fastidiously cleaned ?). Cooling fans run on super fast immediately upon bootup for some odd reason. Right side USB still doesn't work. Computer now boots extremely slowly (probably from a wonky OS update) as witnessed by Phoebe (who said an excessive amount of pictures on the 512ssd was slowing the system down. Really, Phoebe ?). Consensus: TECHSUPPORT probably put more time and energy into writing their boastful texts espousing their fastidious and fruitful work, then they did repairing and double checking all functions of my MACBOOK for proper operation. TECHSUPPORT talks a good talk, but judging from my unfortunate and expensive experience (computer is probably trashed now), they certainly don't walk the walk. My computer is definitely NOT "working fine" and at this point, is probably not cost effective to have repaired AGAIN. Future and potential DAYWEB TECHSUPPORT clients, learn from my abysmal experience with this company. I have all documents to support the above statements. read more

Steve has been the savior to our tech nightmares on numerous occasions. He is easy to reach, prompt to get started, thorough, and worth significantly more than he charges. In one instance when the Internet went down, he went through the whole diagnostic before we discovered we needed to get a new wireless router. He told us what we needed, hooked it up, installed and set up the new network configurations and had us back up and running in a day. His level of service will beat any of the competition. Steve (owner) goes out of his way---every time, to make it happen. That includes working insanely long, middle-of-the night "tech geek" (but he's not a geek) hours, to finding a "loaner" computer for you when yours crashes and a graduate school paper is due the next day. It's stuff like that that makes you feel he's not some impersonal business but a family friend--or at least a damn good source to reliably help you out! His technical capabilities alone are why I would recommend going to Tech Support as a FIRST THOUGHT.
