I went into the store because Apple told me they are an Apple authorized service provider. I made the appointment, met Faith who explained the whole process to me start to finish. She told me the best case scenario to the worse case scenario for my daughter's MacBook Pro. It ended up being the higher of the deductible due to my daughter spilling her Tea on it. It was fixed in a week. I explained I was on a time crunch since college was starting soon and needed it back. I feel like they went over and beyond to get it back to me. It is running like new. If you enjoy being made a fool and having someone take advantage of you, by all means, go to L2 Technologies. I paid $300 for a hard drive repair on my 13-inch MacBook Pro in May. In July the problem returned. I took it back and was told I now needed a battery. Brought the laptop home and arranged direct service with Apple because I was feeling uneasy. The verdict on said MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2017, Two Thunderbolt 3 ports? "There is damage from a missing hard drive that is not covered by Apple's Limited Warranty, an AppleCare plan, consumer law, or the original quoted cost of the repair." L2 charged me for an Apple SSD but installed a third-party product which has damaged the battery and the slot in which the hard drive is seated. Repair estimate: In excess of $1,000. L2 is disreputable and incompetent. DO NOT GIVE IT YOUR BUSINESS. read more

I came here because the hard drive on my Macbook Pro died. Right off the bat- it's $90 to do a diagnostic test, but that can be applied toward services if you get something fixed. (That's how they keep commit you to getting work done. Who really wants to lose $90?) They estimated it would take 3-5 business days to fix. I was not happy about that, since I need my laptop for work, but what could I do. I left it there that morning and the next morning they called and told me that several things on my laptop failed diagnostic tests- totaling $880- and that it was not worth repairing. I knew about some issues with my laptop already (e.g. half-working trackpad thanks to coffee spill) and those issues I could deal with. I just wanted a functional computer, not one like-new. So in the end, I whittled the cost down to $350. The parts are definitely overpriced. I brought in my own larger, hard drive and paid less than half than I would have paid there. They wanted to charge me $80 to install the OS. I declined that service because I had a disk and it took 20 min for me to do it myself. Just popped in the disk, hit a few keys, let it run, done. The labor charge is too much too. $50 to put in a battery? Pleassse, I should have done it myself. I think this store is the only Apple authorized sales and services store in Columbia. If your hardware is covered under Apple Care still, go for it. Otherwise, I'd check other repair shops first. Customer service was good, but I am still floored by the prices. read more

First time in years I have needed iMac problem addressed. Initial contact with the "check in woman" was excellent. She has superior customer service skills and outlined an estimate of the problem. She also listened very well to the issues at hand before making an estimate. After a one day delay of estimated time to have iMac returned(due to additional downloads from Apple needed) item returned on time. Text messages kept me up to date. I went back in for a different issue, and this time they replaced the charger. They blamed the previous inability to replace the charger on Apple management policies, which were apparently recently loosened. However, the staff aren't very nice and are rough around the edges. read more

Wow! Stephanie and L2 Tech just saved me almost $900 and I'm not paying them anything! I bought a used Mac from Gainsaver.com (NEVER DO THAT!!!). And everything worked well on the Mac, except for the logic board; which is a HUGE problem to replace, an $800 dollar problem. Now, Gainsaver has a 30 day money back guarantee on their products, but the only thing I would get back from them is store credit...useless. Thankfully Stephanie at L2 Tech noticed that this specific logic board installed in my comp has a factory warranty that allows for a free replacement, including parts and labor. The only reason I didn't jump on this at first is that taking the computer apart voids Gainsaver's warranty and thus the 30 day money back guarantee. And if they open up the Mac and see that the logic board has water damage (which Gainsaver might have caused; I haven't used the Mac yet), then I have to pay for the logic board myself!! Which would absolutely blow! Anyway, much metaphorical nail biting and heart palpitating later, we decided to go for the risk and open the Mac. Lo and behold! No water damage!!!! Yes! I wouldn't have even known this was an option without L2 Tech. New logic board and gratis installation on the way! L2 didn't charge me ANYTHING for this awesome service.
