I contacted them with a single preference that I preferred no seafood and they did the rest. I couldn't be happier. I left the previous birthday donut review and this just solidifies how amazing Sandy's is. They planned the menu and prepared everything before we arrived, with no help from me at all. They went the extra mile on decorations and setup. The display was beautiful and perfect. Every single person that came commented on how great the food was and how everything looked. There was a wonderful charcuterie board for starters, amazing pork sliders, mini croissant chicken salad sandwiches, corn salad dip and chips, unbelievable desserts -donuts (because they knew my son loved them based on the bday donut), Mexican cheesecakes in perfectly portioned sizes and awesome brownies. This whole endeavor was completely effortless on my part, they did everything and it turned out so perfect thanks to Sandy's. However, before the employee could put the donut in the bag, I noticed a large horsefly flying around inside the display case, landing and flying around the donuts. It didn't seem to faze her, even as another customer who had already ordered coffee was also watching what was happening. I understand that bakeries and donut shops with open display cases can occasionally have issues with insects, and I'm not saying people shouldn't visit this business. Everyone can make their own decision. But personally, once I saw a horsefly flying around food that was about to be served to me, I couldn't bring myself to knowingly eat it. What surprised me even more was that after seeing my reaction, the employee still asked if I wanted the kolache. At that point, I had completely lost my appetite and simply walked out.
