Doctors weren't able to find any cause and wanted to do exploratory surgery, but I was not comfortable with that. When I saw MBI on my way to a nearby business, I called and scheduled an appointment with one of the students. I wasn't expecting much but for $35 for an hour massage, I knew at minimum SOME of my tension would be worked out at a great price. I walked in and Tammy was there waiting for me. We went over my intake form, which you can complete online to save some time, and she took me back to my room. It, honestly, is not a far cry from spas I've been to once you get in your room. The room was dim, smelled of aromatherapy oils, and soft music was playing. The massage was AMAZING and Tammy let me know where my spots with the most tension were and suggested some stretches (that's never happened at the $100 spas). The only complaint was that it was cold in my room and the heated table that she excited me about wasn't working. I will definitely be back!

It wasn't debilitating but it was enough to keep me out of the gym and pursuing my normal tennis schedule as it seemed to exasperate the pain. When I realized the pain wasn't letting up I finally booked my first session with Rebekah. My only regret was not booking with her sooner. I was sore for 24 hours after the massage, but as soon as the initial soreness I realized that I was completely pain free. It's been about two weeks since I've been in and haven't had any lower back problems since. I lived in Asia for over five years and I have had hundreds of massages, no exaggeration. When I tell you that Rebekah knows what she is doing I do not say that lightly. She is at the top of her game. Personable demeanor, professional office (sound machines throughout the entire hallway too so no distractions), and a relaxing atmosphere to fully invest in your self care.

There was literally water coming out of the electrical outlets on the floor one day, and nothing is up to date osha wise. If Shameeya Ferguson is still there, I HIGHLY advise you request a different instructor for a "check." Several of my patients refused to come back solely because of her. She made several racist comments in front of my patients and my patients would always say how painful her checks were. She does not know how to properly perform an exam. I get she's a lot older, but that's no excuse to not be up to date with the standard of care! She also has no sense of time management, so prepare to be there for a hot minute. She would dig and dig under my patients gums until they were at the point of leaving because they were in so much pain. If you want a professional and educated hygienist checking your teeth & gums after a student cleans them, this definitely isn't the place. I also understand this school is scraping the bottom of the bucket to find instructors, but it's not an excuse to get harassed.
