    Dirty couch in room
    Amy L.

I saw reviews when I booked on hotels.com and it had a 7 so I thought good enough for one night. Honestly I'd stay in the car I rented if I hadn't paid. It's GROSS. People are obviously smoking in the rooms. My room and bed reeks of smoke. Lots of people in the parking lot acting really suspicious. People yelling inside and outside of the property I went and bought disinfectant to spray my bed because I really don't know If it's even clean. No conditioner given in the room just shampoo. Couch is icky. Wouldn't sit on it. For $100+ I'd expect a lot more. Also went to make coffee and the back is completely molded. Ew! Glad I looked well before I made any.

Sooooooooooo pleasantly surprised! These reviews complaining about the breakfast...bish, please! Tourists want clean quiet and friendly, and that's exactly what this Quality Inn serves. Bethany, who checked me in, was super fabulous. I received a clean (enough) room, plus it felt safe. Liquor store next door...super quiet space...and less expensive than the other hotels in this 'hood. Trust me: Mama's from LA! PS: The coffee was good xoxo

The hotel itself is fine to stay in but I write this as a fair warning…read more Within four hours of parking our car right in front of the hotel and in a well lit area of the parking lot with security cameras pointed to our vehicle, we were broken into. We arrived at the hotel at 1 AM and then received a phone call at 5 AM saying our car has been broken into. We are currently on a road trip across the country and they stole everything we had... We never leave stuff in the car but we figured we could just grab it in the morning since we got in so late... As we walked the parking lot the next day there was shattered glass scattered all around, so we were not the first car nor will we be that last. We filed a police report. The hotel was not helpful at all and refused to show the security footage (the police recommended them to show it to us or email it to them and the hotel refused). My Samsara dash cam was able to pick up the vehicle since the vehicle drove directly in front of the hotel with our roof rack on top of it. The cops came to the hotel since the hotel wasn't being that cooperative. They said that the quality of the cameras were so poor that they cannot see the license plate on the vehicle so the video is deemed useless even though the car drove directly in front of them in a well lit parking lot. We spoke with several different employees about the situation. All refused to assist with this. Only good thing about this hotel was the breakfast and the breakfast staff.

Everything from the towel size to the clear bag listed online made getting through security easy and helped us get a prime spot. The concert itself was great. Lighting, sound and the vibe of everything was fantastic. We were disappointed with the vegetarian options available for purchase inside the concert venue. An overpriced baked potato and a store brand veggie burger felt subpar compared to other food options. Unfortunately, we could not bring food from all of the pubs and bars into the concert venue so it made it a little difficult. You really have to enter 2 hours before the concert to get a good spot, meaning you are there during dinner. That being said, the concert was great. The location is fun to walk around and includes a golf course, outdoor dining, and lots of little pubs and secret spots. The food is typical for McMenamins and the art both inside and outside makes it a unique Portland experience. My favorite part of all McMenamins sites is the history for the location. The local historical society was selling a book for $5 that told the history of the site, including its days as a poor house, a jail, and lots of other stories of the past. I would love to go on a historical tour, but for now to stroll the book and walk around the property was a treat. The lines were long because of the concert to get drinks everywhere so we opted for cold brew coffee on nitro at the little coffee cart inside the main lodge. We sipped our coffee and walked around and it was lovely. By

Very good, but it was $16.25 for a 9oz pour...it should be good. The small Caesar with Grilled Chicken was ok. But again, $16.00 is too expensive. I did look further and saw that the Cheeseburger, with Fries and a Pickle Spear is $25.00. No way. My server was Adam. I hope this is a short term gig for him as he was non-existent...which is what I expected. His lack of attentiveness to me was horrendous. I will not return to any McMenamins, as I stated at the beginning, service is slow, food is okay and it has become too expensive.

Our stay here was overall decent, but there were a few key areas that left room for improvement…read more The room itself was clean, located on the second floor all the way at the end from the elevator. We wondered if that was intentional for added quiet since we had requested a medical accommodation room. While there was a single assist handle by the shower, that was the extent of the accessibility features, so it felt a bit underwhelming in terms of follow-through. Food-wise, the options were limited. My mom ordered a salad that came in a nearly empty box. It looked more like a garnish than a meal, and she was pretty disappointed. I ordered boneless wings but was given bone-in. My sister returned them and they were remade without issue, but it still added a bit of hassle. The common areas varied. The fitness center was nice, and I appreciated that the laundry room had chairs--something small, but surprisingly thoughtful. However, the trash in there was overflowing, which seemed strange since only one person is allowed in at a time and has to check the key back in at the front desk. The hallway from the elevator to the staff area had visible liquid trails that looked like something had been dragged, and it made me question how frequently the floors are maintained. The luggage cart was oddly small, maybe two-thirds the size of a regular grocery cart, and only one was available for the entire property. For a family with multiple bags and an advance reservation made months ago, it would've been helpful if management ensured more were accessible. Service was a mixed bag. The front desk manager was friendly, but she was on her phone a lot and couldn't answer most of our questions. That said, the bartender deserves a shoutout. He was incredibly kind and thoughtful. On a 90+ degree day, I asked for some ice water and he took the time to squeeze two limes into it for me since the complimentary water in the lobby had run out. That level of care really stood out. Breakfast is not complimentary here, and what's available felt bland, so we ended up finding a nearby spot instead. The dog-friendly outdoor seating area, however, was beautiful and peaceful, and the laundry machines worked well. Not a bad stay, but a few simple improvements in hospitality, maintenance, and communication would make a big difference.

The room itself was ok, pool area was clean, plenty of parking but my friend who stayed on a 4th floor found a BEDBUG crawling on their bed at midnight!! The signage into their parking lot is not clearly marked at the turn so if possible arrive during daylight hours. The area was kept very clean. The gentleman who checked us in was very chatty making the check-in process long. He also chatted with us again when we returned from dinner until another guest walked in and he excused himself. So very attentive to each guest.
