I do not usuall leave reviews but will this time. I had no problem at all with the hotel room and felt that everything there was great! My problem was with the reservation person. I reserved in person for a conference which was being held there. When I never received my confirmation email, I call in and reserved a room. We were supposed to have a ground floor room at the conference rate. When we checked in there was a problem locating reservation. They finally found it but it was not a ground floor room and it was not at conference rates...they did adjust the rates and I actually got a better one but it really was a pain to go through all of the hoops to get it. After we got into our room...(there were three of us)...we went downstairs to do some set up. Went back up and all three key cards did not work. I saw several with this problem during out stay. We got new card and were fine with those the next two days. The last day of our stay, our cards failed 4 times. The desk clerk came up with the master key and let us in but we then had no key to get into the room. We had to make sure one of us was in the room or leave the door open. When asked for a credit for this inconvenience, I was told I could receive points on my account...not exactly what I would call great customer experience to a situation. I do not think that I could recommend this hotel if they are unable to provide a better key service and reservation system. Also, the restaurant was terribly understaffed. We left friends there to go eat outside the hotel and when we came back they were still waiting. The placement of the elevator could have been better also. read more

Had a very nice stay here recently. The room was comfortable, and the people at the front desk were all friendly. We had the breakfast included which was great, there was something for everyone! Eggs, bacon, delicious sausage, potatoes, oatmeal, bready options etc, all good stuff! The onsite restaurant was decent, we ended up eating there twice for convenience sake ...I really liked the meatloaf dinner! The disappointing thing was coming back to an unmade bed and nothing cleaned in the room, after we had specifically asked for it to be cleaned that morning....after a long day out it really makes it not fun for us to have to make our own bed, run down to the front desk for clean towels, the shampoo had run out, the light bulb was burned out in the desk lamp. When we asked why our room was not taken care of, we were told they were understaffed. It was very obvious as the restaurant only had one guy manning it at any given time. Still, despite this, it was a good stay overall as everyone did the best they could and were very helpful.. I would stay here again if in the area. read more

we were in dire need of a hotel and stopped in wilsonville for the night. we were greeted by a very friendly front desk clerk . He gave us a complimentary dinner for two plus drinks at their restaurant, which is attached to the hotel. very convenient. The room was clean, the beds were wonderful and comfortable. Our room had two queens and was extremely reasonably priced. wait staff at the restaurant was also great and attentive. if I'm ever in wilsonville I will definitely stay there again. read more

This hotel brings me back to my childhood when traveling. The layout of the property and room is spot on. The bed is extremely comfortable, room and property as clean. There's no microwave in the but there is in the lobby, which is fine as there's a restaurant that most holiday inn don't have.. but back in the day they did. Now for the negative..after my first showed and a few hours later the bathroom smelled like mold. If you choose to stay here, it was room 432. I have to say I was quite a bit disappointed after checking in. My original plan was to stay three weeks, but my job ended short so I ended up only staying two weeks out of the two weeks. I experienced terrible customer service rooms not being cleaned every day, you have to request room service, which I never thought that was a thing in a Holiday Inn, the other thing that they had bad customer service at the restaurant waited forever for service. The food is subpar nothing on their website or on yelp. Has anything to do with their menu now would not recommend this place. Drive a little farther you'll be happier. Also the top off this experience I called up a day ahead of time to tell them that I'm checking out early and they proceeded to tell me that there is a $50 charge for early departure, which is ridiculous in a hotel world normally if you check out before 12 PM, they do not charge you any type of charge. Some some hotels do request you a day ahead of time and I did that and they still charge me $50 for early departure. read more

I needed a place to stay in Wilsonville for the weekend, and my handy dandy Yelp app led me to this hotel. Holiday Inn Express is usually my preferred hotel if I'm just needing a place to put my head down. They are conveniently located right off the freeway and they have a Human Bean (drive through coffee place) right across the way - score! They're also just 20 minutes from the Portland airport, which is great. They have plenty of parking as well. The front desk service was just okay. The hotel is in the process of remodeling so some parts of it looked out of sorts. I had requested a 2nd floor room and didn't realize that this hotel allows dogs until I walked by one of the end rooms and there was a loud bark! The neighbor next to that room had just come out of her room and was upset with the dog barking. She said she was going to move to a different room. My room was in the middle of the hall (near the elevators) and didn't smell like strong dog odor, which was a good thing since I didn't even know that this hotel allowed dogs. It also wasn't as loud as I thought it'd be (since it was near the elevators), so I was happy about that. The room itself was spacious and clean for the most part. Some parts of the bathroom (like the corners near the tub) were dirty, but only I would notice something like that. The king bed was very comfortable! I had one of my best sleeps there. And the housekeeping ladies were very nice. The one thing I didn't like about this hotel is that they do not offer a complimentary breakfast, like most Holiday Inn Express hotels that I've stayed at. They do have a bistro inside the hotel, which is where I ended up having breakfast one day, and it was pretty decent. (I'll write a separate review for that). They also have a small bar where you can get food and drinks. I would probably stay here again since there aren't a lot of hotel choices in Wilsonville, and the price was right. Don't bother at staying here they don't have competent management, and will check you into occupied rooms, then give you a room that doesn't sleep 4 and boast that they didn't charge you for the hideaway bed so that one person doesn't have to sleep on the floor. Go to the Hilton one exit down. My experience: I booked my stay online for my wife, two kids and I to stay in a double queen room for a family reunion. We arrived at around 230am to check in on Friday. Check in was easy, but this is also when the problems started. We got our bags and went to the room. We scanned the badge and when we opened the door, we noticed the top latch was locked. We had just been given a key to an occupied room, at 230 in the morning. Unfortunately, we woke them up since the door slammed into the hinge as one would expect it to do. We went back to the hotel lobby and got told that they did not have any more double queen beds available. They offered to give us a king room and rollaway bed. Being late we accepted. I looked online and saw that the company was still showed bookable double queen rooms on their website. Additionally, the new room made it so that three of us had to sleep on a single bed and one on the small rollaway. The front desk clerk stated he would investigate getting me a comp for breakfast. I explained to him that we would not use a breakfast comp because we are having breakfast with family, so it was essentially worthless to us. In the morning, I went to the front desk and asked if they would be having us change rooms or comping some of the room since three of us had to sleep on the same bed. The front desk lady took down our number and said we would get a phone call from the manager. 11pm rolled around, and the manager had not called us. When we arrived back at the hotel the manager was off, so we went back to the single king room. In the morning we went to check out and stopped in at the front desk. Again, I asked to speak to a manager and was informed that the manager felt like the hotel did it's part by comping us breakfast even though we stated we did not want a comped breakfast. The front desk lady also informed me that they gave us a discounted price of $203 dollars a night for the king room vs. $229. I have a couple problems with this. Online the day I reserved beds, I could have gotten a king room for $207 a night, so the discount of 4 dollars is not enough. Additionally, they didn't discount the original night at all. Essentially, I paid full price for both nights, and had to sleep three deep to a bed because they would not communicate with us. For reference, my kids are not small, they are both teenagers. I explained that I was unsatisfied but understood that they could not do anything without the manager who was off on Sundays. I asked for a phone call. Today Monday, I had not received a phone call by 6pm, so I called them. The manager had already left for the day, but the front desk receptionist was familiar with the incident. She explained that the manager was not going to further discount the rooms because she didn't charge me for the roll in bed that they company provided. Essentially, the company failed to provide the room I reserved to accommodate four people, then moved us into a room made for 2, or 3 people at best, and said be lucky we didn't charge you for the bed so that the 4 people you originally reserved the room for could sleep. I have traveled a lot, but never have I been sent to an occupied room, then had zero communication from management. This hotel is nice, but they have zero drive to help customers or ensure that they provide the services they offer. Skip the headache and go to another hotel that takes customer satisfaction seriously. read more

I have stayed here many times over the years and it has gotten much better after the most recent remodel. The room was comfortable, clean and warm...the shower was great...you know, for some time the Holiday Inn has been on the dumpy side, but there appears to be an effort to upgrade and remodel the hotels...this is appreciated. this hotel has an indoor pool plus a nice restaurant. I just want to say that after going to this place last night I would not recommend this Hoilday inn to any one of my friends or family members or employees. This place use to be a great place with awesome employees and great customer service and I am not sure what happened here and I wish that they would have kept it the way it was. Their little restaurant they have is way over priced for the food and drinks and the food isn't all that good for the price. They have switched out their menu so many times and I am not sure why when the food doesn't taste all that good lol.. Anyways if you need a place to stay or run an event head to the Hoilday inn by PDX airport because they are way better. Oh and they do not play cornhole here anymore and I am not sure why. An old acquaintance Kathi Griffith works here and I am hoping she can turn this place around again and make it better for the customer and their employees because they seem to go through employees like water here.. My husband and I stayed for a long weekend and I really can't say that I would recommend the place. The good: Bed was comfy and amenities nice. Staff was friendly and complementary breakfast was yummy and filling. The bad: They put us on the first floor right next to the door which made it harder to regulate the temperature in the room and we could hear everyone walking in and out. Opening and closing of doors, kids yelling, people taking - everything. Not the best sleep I've ever had at a hotel and I'm a pretty heavy sleeper. To make things worse the lock on the door to get into the building didn't even work so anyone could walk right in. Definitely did not make you feel safe. The to-go breakfast was also very underwhelming and not worth the money. You're better off ordering something from the Carls Jr nextdoor. We were also expecting to unwind in the jacuzzi after a long day of hiking and although the water temperature was perfect, the jets made the whole jacuzzi a splash zone. Maybe good for kids but not if you're looking for a place to relax. We had to turn off the jets and settled with the still water. It's okay, as of May 2019 they're undergoing what appears to be a much needed refresh. The staff is polite and helpful. They do take pets so that was great for us. The bathroom was okay. Mattresses and bedding were very comfortable and clean. I am not sure if the room we got was a post refreshed room, the carpet was loose at the edge near the door and the bathroom felt shabby and dirty. Convenient location near dining, shopping and the freeway, just don't pay too much for your room. read more

During a 4 day power outage, we tried to find a motel in Wilsonville just to get warm and comfortable. After trying to find availability we were able to get the last room at the Holiday Inn on I-5 in Wilsonville. The front desk attendant, David was able to not only get us the room but to check us in immediately in the late morning. I was prepared to pay a steep price due to every room at every motel being booked solid, but the room was less than $100 including all fees and taxes. We could not have been more impressed with David's amazing service while answering dozens of phone calls. The room was wonderful - great shower, HBO, 2 Queen beds and an excellent coffee maker. We had a great trip up to Portland and a fabulous stay here. Very impressive for the price ! Tv, soft fluffy beds, incredibly kind and attentive staff! The bathrooms were big ! I'm a stickler for water pressure and a nice hot shower in the morning - you will not be disappointed. The check in was quick and friendly. Nice clean hotel, clean rooms with good amount of amenities. Fridge, tv, etc. The morning breakfast service was great, so was dinner. Both in room service, quite on time/ Bed sheets were clean and very soft/comfortable I forgot my toothpaste and my comb, they brought both up very quickly. My only issue (not really an issue) was my sink was cracked. They patched it up with some cement but it still looked a bit ugly. Parking was a bit crowded but still had a few spots open Pool was indoors which was super convenient Overall good experience. read more

Not recommended! when making a reservation, they require you to give your credit card information over the phone. NEVER give your credit card information over the phone. This is the first and only hotel that I've experienced that requires a credit card over the phone for a reservation. I ended up reserving a room from a competing hotel across the highway, that didn't require a credit card over the phone. I didn't stay here, but came for a seminar over the weekend...... The place is literally off the I-5 (South). Wilsonville is about 30 minutes South of Portland (depending on traffic). You can't miss it if you're driving on the freeway (take exit 286). What's cool here? - Ample parking - Kind receptionist - Large floor space for a seminar And that's pretty much all I can attest to since I didn't book a room here. Read this like 4.5 stars. Pros: - Nice room... stayed for a couple of days and the mattress was wonderful! Usually my back hurts after a couple of days sleeping but this did not. No microwave but it does have a mini-fridge SPOILER ALERT: it will be off when you arrive - just turn it on and about 30 minutes later its cold (DO NOT FOLLOW THE HOTEL SUGGESTED SETTING OF MEDIUM.. it froze my water LOL) - Restaurant... I ate at the restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner during my stay - never a disappointment. Gorgonzola burger with fries, Ribeye with mashed and veggies, Fish and chips with slaw and mashed potatoes, Prime rib with mashed and veggies, All crazy good and a lot of food for the price point. - Lobby/Customer Service/Shuttle.... you have the option of "talking" to customer service by text message, which was surprisingly warm and receptive feeling (and apparently manned by the front desk staff). Every experience with the front desk was a joy (even the late night/early morning experience - thanks David!!) - Quick responses, and very accommodating. The lobby has fruit "flavored" water and sometimes cookies and other snacky things at the front desk. The shuttle is free and there is shopping across the highway. - Hotel.... the hotel is older, and shaped weird, like a backwards 7. The lobby, pool and restaurant represent the top of the 7 and the rooms represent the vertical portion of the 7, so your walk (if you are at the bottom of 7) can be lessened by cutting through the parking lot. It is also confusing to actually drive into the hotel parking lot (it shares it with a Carls Jr, Gas Station and some coffee spot). They have an actual gift shop! OLD SMELLY AND STUFFY. I've stayed in plenty of Holiday Inn during my travel, and this is one of those I will try very hard not to return to. It's really old and the rooms are not really well kept. Even the linens look pretty bad. All HI is suppose to have free internet and usually a cable internet in the rooms, but they advertise free wifi, but you can get the signal in the rooms...cheats... You can smell the chlorine from the pool/hot tub in the lobby desk. That tells me they do not maintain their pools as often as they should and just add more chemicals. (Now the snobby side of me) I am a priority club card holder, that means if they have room upgrades available they are to offer it to me, NOT. They are also suppose to have a little treat bag (cookies, water bottle, etc.) for the card holders, NOT. Sorry it's the little things that I like. Bottom line...this place sucks! read more

Lord, these things kill me. Long speeches and rubber chicken. I was actually very impressed with the way the staff at this Holiday Inn kept things humming. The breakfast and lunch buffets were both pretty good. The chicken wasn't too rubbery and they also had salmon. The coffee was sufficiently strong. The facilities were more than acceptable. Nice big area with plenty of elbow room. The restroom was clean. I suppose if you have to spend the day listening to someone drone on and on about whatever widgets or geegaws your particular business produces, this is a good place to do it. read more

Was an amazing hotel. We stayed 2 nights and the first night we had 2 queens because we were gonna have a friend with us but he bailed. Only bad thing about the room was our bathroom didn't have a shower curtain. The second night we stayed in a room with a king bed and it was an amazing room. I loved it. Sliding glass doors for the shower and close to exits so we didn't have to walk far! My husband and I loved it. read more

I visited this hotel for one night and overall, it was great. The beds were very comfortable, and the room came with a mini fridge. I visited the pool 2 times and the hot tub once. They were both indoor, but not fully walled which was nice because it wasn't humid in the pool and hot tub room. The only complaint I have is my room doesn't have a microwave but there is a spot for a microwave which was a little misleading because I brought food which I intended on microwaving. Great place for an affordable stay. I checked in and had cookies at the desk. The inside pool was nice! We were not able to go in but I loved how it was next to the lobby and not in some shut up room. It did smell like chlorine but I liked it! The room was very nice. The lamp burnt out when I turned it on and when I left to go to dinner, I alerted them and it was fixed when I got back. I paid for the breakfast and free wifi on the executive room. The wifi did not have the bandwidth to play a movie on my iPad, which was a bummer, but oh well. The breakfast was free and it was a full restaurant, I loved that. This hotel was perfect for my stay in Portland. It is situated a short distance out of downtown and yet very accessible to the city. The room is clean, spacious, and very well designed. It has a refrigerator, comfortable bed, good lighting, nice TV with many channels, and curtains that keep out the light - very important for my sleep schedule (late nights and late morning rises). The breakfast is great and the small "store" has all the things I often forget. The gym is great with very nice equipment and televisions. I didn't have a chance to try the restaurant but I peaked in and looked the menu - it seemed like a great option for dinner and/or drinks. Ultimately, I couldn't have asked for a better place for my stay. read more

Clean, comfortable beds and pillows. Isn't that one of the main objectives to a happy stay away from home? Well this Holiday Inn delivered. They also delivered on a clean bathroom with granite and everything new. The hotel has been recently renovated, so all is new- which I love. Crispy sheets, fluffy pillows, new clock radios (ipod capable), tv, chairs, you get my point. I was situated across from the soda vending machine and ice. I was happy that when I needed ice, I didn't have to go on some crazy search. You know the ones where the ice is in a less then obvious or hidden place. And once I realize the ice is actually in a deep freezer wrapped up in cute mini bags; I instantly smile. Love it! I personally think this is a great idea especially since I have a mini fridge to keep the remainder of the unused ice. Also this ice is not melting the second it hits the air. Plus it just feels more like a party is about to ensue - even if you are all alone in your hotel room with your Apricot Ale. I also had the pleasure of eating in their restaurant several times. Everything was on point! Seriously Portland has some of the best food ever. It has to be the water. Perhaps the air, but it is something easily and magically happening to make all their food just taste right. My spaghetti bolognese was great, my chicken piccata, was great, my $3 salad was big, fresh and great, the fish and chips I tasted was great. The Mothers Day Brunch was great. Honestly I was impressed by all. And I give this food some of my highest recommendations. It wasn't super fancy but it hearty and fresh and yummy. It didn't disappoint or make me feel sick as most restaurants do from their gregarious additions of salts, oils and sugars. Not to be forgotten is the lounge/bar or pool located inside the hotel. The bar attracts with a DJ on Fridays and live music on Saturdays. A mini mart across the parking lot is nice connivence as well. This hotel is pretty cool and straight to the point . While the staff was very friendly our shower had a long black hair in it. Asked for new room with bathtub and told all were already being used and had to keep our room. Did not shower after being in the car for over 12 hours..felt so gross. Will not stay at another holiday inn again read more
