Arrived at Days Inn Bath, and first thing I noticed was how soiled the carpet was in the hallways. Got to the first room we tried, and the air conditioning was broken. Went to the front desk, told her the problem, so she gave me another room. As I approach the door I heard water running, open the door to find the bathtub was running water and would not turn off. The bathtub was stained black and look like it had not been cleaned for years. Immediately told the girl the desk we were leaving and not to charge my card. Don't even consider this place it's gross! I will need a tetanus shot after staying here. These accomodations look like something in India or South America. The bathroom was not cleaned, the elevator was a wreck, and the whole experience there was unpleasant. The health department should have closed this hotel. read more

Arrived exhausted, thought the room smelled funny, stale smoke... In the middle of the night we were awakened by a large crash, the headboard actually fell off the wall. Got up and then realized the tub was too gross to use..filthy mirrors, windows. The smoke smell was worse in the am after the heater fan ran all night...we decide we're not attempting their breakfast and head out, but no one at the desk to talk to. Reported our stay at daysinn.com with no response...I should think they'd be ashamed to have their name on this structure. If not renovating should close it. read more

This hotel was the worst of our finger lakes trip. The only reason it gets two stars and not one was the friendliness of the staff. Elevator worked but was not in good condition. Pool was broken and room had extensive water damage, wall damage and ceiling damage. This place needs a hit renovation. read more

**Had I seen the bed bugs picture, there is no way in hell I would have stayed here. Please know I did not see, nor did we get any bed bugs during our stay, so they've clearly cleaned up their act.** In the past few years an American gentleman has slowly introduced me to the open road. As a Canadian city girl, I have tended to be more about planes and trains than automobiles. His love of road trips is contagious. Enter me riding shotty in many rented whips. From Montreal to middle America, from zig-zagging every inch of California, and from Toronto to NYC. The last one we've done a few times (Hi Ruggy! Sup' Maud! Can you make it Brrrrad?), and finding new and exciting places to break up the trip is always tricky. Enter beautiful Bath, NY. The beautiful part isn't sarcastic, we drove into Hammondsport (sp?) and it was a deliciously cute little town. Alas, it was 8pm and everything was already closed, so we didn't actually get to taste anything. There isn't much to say about the Day's Inn itself. It's pretty dated, the rooms have mis-matching polyester things and TVs with giant backs. But! It's only $45 a night, is right next door a 24 hour grocery store and it has a decent-sized indoor pool. Some wins, some losses and a great price. read more

I stayed here with my husband 4/30-5/1/16 for a road trip to the Finger Lakes. After driving 4 1/2 hours through the mountainous and gorgeous southern tier of New York, we were happy to arrive here. We paid $46 plus tax. This included an indoor pool and free breakfast! Others have commented on how dated the place is. Who cares? I'm not to complain about a two inch rip in the carpet. We slept well and everything was clean! You even get the convenience of being right next door to a grocery store and auto parts store (I needed a new windshield wiper so that was awesome!) If you stay here you're about 37 minutes from Watkins Glen, a must-see state park featuring waterfalls that you can walk under. We had a great vacation. We were only there for one night, but it fulfilled our every need. read more

This whole chain appears to be getting dated. The rooms here aren't too horrible but the bathroom was nasty. Tub rusting in some areas, black mold was covered up by a new thin layer of caulk etc. Hotel as a whole is old n outdated but sheets are clean and staff is nice. "Free" breakfast is worthless as most are and be aware, they allow dogs here so you Will get that dog in the room next to you barking all day! All in all it was $80/night vs $200 everywhere else (Watkins Glen wine fest this weekend). read more

This is probably the most disgusting hotel I've ever stayed in - I have usually stayed in decent, if not spotless hotels. It, surprisingly, has a decent breakfast selection. I am not sure what to think of that, but given the choice I would not stay there again. The whole hotel floor we stayed in reeked of cigarettes and the floor was not vacuumed. The wallpaper was peeling. There was popcorn on the floor for awhile - not sure if this is the fault of the staff or guest(s). But, it didn't really improve my impression of the hotel. I am not sure why they had an elevator since it was probably faster just to take the stairs carrying luggage. The worst was the seemingly permanent cigarette stench. I didn't see any bedbugs, so it may be an acceptable inexpensive option for those interested in the seeing the Finger Lakes. There were a lot of hotel guests, so I am guessing they make money off of the sheer number of rooms people paid to stay in rather than a large markup per room. read more

We stayed here for 3 nights. It's a decent hotel for a good price. The room room was mostly clean and they came and changed towels every day. Good service at the reception desk. Unfortunately, while we were there there was a renovation going on, so one of the nights was really noisy. At 3 am we were awaken by the voices of people working in the hallway in front of our room. It probably lasted for an hour. They seemed unaware that there were guests sleeping on this floor or sth. read more

We did not have any problem with this hotel. They accepted the coupon for a different room so we got a bigger hotel room for the price of a smaller one! Unfortunately, there was an odd oder in the hallway, but the hotel room was free of that oder. The room itself, was quite nice. Everything worked and turned on. The worst part about the room was the shower. I am 5'8 and I had to bend my knees at least 30º for the showerhead to reach the back of my head. The continental breakfast was quite good. While we were checking in however, there was a complaint from another guest about a problem in their room. The air condition was quiet but the carpeting needs to be steamed. read more

Was placed here for the night after a fire left me and other tenants of my building homeless. Half way through the night I find a bed bug crawling on me. Honestly wasn't shocked it's a known bed bug hotel anyways so went to check out In the morning Informed the front desk and didn't make a big deal out of it at all. Got to human services and they went to place me there again for the rest of the week due to the fire and the hotel turned me away because I reported the bed bug... They turned away a fire victim all because they informed them of a bed bug problem how messed up is that!! read more

This building is pretty run down but the service was very good. I found about bed bugs problem after I booked it and was kinda worried about it too. It turned out that there was no problems in my room. They have pretty good breakfast selections (cereal, eggs, sausages, waffle, etc). They also have DVD movies to borrow, it helped spending sometime there because this town is very small and have nothing much to do at night. There are only two bars open late. They have popcorn and cookies to welcome their guests during the day. The staff are very very friendly. But yes, again the building is old, and the hallway and such could be dirty, but the room I was in was fine. read more

This is a sad hotel. Dated, dirty, noisy and stale. They had only smoking rooms available. The room I got was well-smoked. The hallway is cordoned off at the middle by two glass doors where you enter the smokers zone. It's just ugly after that. The towel holders in the bathroom are broken or missing. Screw holes haven't been fixed. The toilet is cracked. Patches in the bedroom wall have not been painted. The bed is old and squeaky. The AC is old and noisy...although it did cool the room. It was race weekend at the Glen so everything else was booked. Next time, I'll do the 2 1/2 hour drive home rather than stay here. read more

Do not stay here if you are in a wheelchair. The bathrooms are so narrow you can't turn around. Just back in and out the same way. The room was so narrow, I couldn't turn around. Just because you put bars in a bathroom doesn't made it accessible. I had to use the bathroom in the lobby. It was never cleaned until I complained. And it was awkward. Shower was not accessible either . Bathroom needs to be enlarged and reconfigured. The whole hotel is run down, holes in the walls, rips in the carpet, torn wallpaper. Our room was never cleaned. First day, no sheets on the bed. Second day, clean towels, bed not made. Third day, no towels, nor were beds made. Fourth day, finally got service and they cleaned the bathroom. Driveway to get to the hotel is full of huge potholes and needs to be repaired immediately. In other words, gut the place and make it presentable. One positive is that the staff is super nice and extremely helpful. Veronica was great and made good cookies.Courtney kept the breakfast area spotless. Jessica was so sweet. read more

Poor customer service. We stood at the service desk waiting to check in for about 10-15 minutes. The receptionist walked past us 3 times until we were acknowledged. We purchased 2 rooms and one of them was wrong when we got upstairs. Receptionist assigned us a different room and it was still with the wrong beds. The mattress didn't have a fitted sheet or any sheets for that matter. All it had was a comforter and 4 uncovered pillows. The halls smelled like urine, no air conditioning in lobby, flies everywhere, filthy bathrooms in the rooms, the parking lot had more potholes than parking, everything was just filthy. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Bath, NY. We got a full refund and had a pleasant stay else where. read more

An inexpensive stop over. The hotel is faded. There are so many little repairs they need to do and things they need to clean: examples, scrapes in the wall, damaged molding, dirty hallway carpet, rust and mold in the bathroom. The breakfast was unimpressive. read more

DO NOT STAY HERE. I very rarely leave reviews and if I could leave zero stars I would! My husband and I were celebrating our 1st anniversary and booked a king suite with a whirpool tub. Upon arrival there was no tub and it was just a regular room, not a suite. When we asked about it they told us that the room in the picture that we booked does not even exist and the room that does has have a tub been out of order for over two years! We wouldn't have minded a regular room but they wouldn't even offer us a discount or the regular rate for a normal room so we paid an extra $30 for a room that isn't even real! Blatant fraud!!! The manger did nothing and the front desk couldn't care less; they had the same attitude with nice the lady at priceline who tried to helps us! The room we did have was decent but there were no tissues and the chain was broken on the door! There was no pool, no breakfast, and literal trash in the hallway that stayed there all night. They clearly do not have any kind of regard for their guests and are running a scam! We are escalating this to cooperate because we do NOT want another poor couple to get sucked into their lies! read more

This was the most DISGUSTING hotel I have ever been in . I have never been more disappointed in a hotel in my life. The lobby wreaked of wet dog and cigarette smoke and the decor is extremely outdated. The front desk receptionist wasn't pleasant . Upon arrival we overheard a man complaining to her about the broken AC in his room and she didn't seem to care nor did she attempt to do anything to accommodate him and resolve the situation. The only thing she seemed to be concerned with was promoting the stale complimentary cookies they provided in the lobby.. That should've been enough indication that we should've stayed elsewhere. There was residue on the elevator buttons. The comforters were stained. There was gunk stuck to the rugs in one of the rooms we had a total of 3. The AC was broken in 2 out of the 3 rooms we booked and that is absolutely ridiculous. No one wants to stay in a hotel in the middle of August with no AC. We did however have a box fan that sounded like a race car and drowned out the TV in our room, we had to put the volume on 42 just to hear it. The TV in one of our rooms did not come with a remote and only had one channel. The Pool looked filthy we didn't bother with it. The " Continental Breakfast" was absolutely pathetic as there were two kinds of cereal,dry muffins, some toast ,waffles and the coffee was disgusting. DO NOT waste your money and stay elsewhere. There is a beautiful Best Western not too far I would recommend staying there or perhaps sleeping in your car as that would probably be superior to the conditions at this establishment. On a positive note, we have reached out to corporate and they seemed concerned and willing to look into the issues mentioned. read more
