We absolutely loved our stay at the Microtel. The room was very nice and I loved the raised sink and bar area in the "living room" area. We have stayed at other Microtels in the past and our golden retriever has always loved lying on the window seat so I was thrilled to see that this room had one as well. I really appreciate being able to open the windows instead of using the air conditioning. We appreciated the toiletries in the shower and bathroom. The staff was very nice (except for 1 little incident with the man who checked us in, he told me that my card hadn't gone through and argued with me when I told him that I had proof on my bank statement. Clearly he was wrong because he handed me the keys anyways). The breakfast options were very nice, hubby really enjoyed the french toast and Ilike the egg and sausage croissant and we even gave our pup one of the omelets. There truly were so many great options offered and the breakfast area was always neat and clean and well stocked. I love that there was an area for us to take our pup to use the bathroom and also that there were so many restaurant options all around us that we could even walk to. Our room was very quiet and the bed was comfortable and I appreciated the extra blanket in the closet. Microtel has become our very favorite place to stay and we are already looking forward to returning in the fall. Highly recommend this place. read more

My husband and I stay at this hotel when visiting our daughter who lives in Bath over the 4th of July. The rooms are clean and very comfortable and the staff are responsive and dedicated! Especially Tom, who was working the front desk and went out of his way to help us with problems in our room, despite the madness of people checking in for the holiday weekend. I booked a room at Microtel on Hotels.com to break up a long drive and I really was surprised. I was not expecting this hotel to be nice at all considering I paid $84 for a one night's stay. The hotel smelled fresh and clean upon entry which was definitely a great sign. Check in was smooth and quick. The woman behind the desk was very friendly. The room itself was way more spacious than expected and was basically brand new. It was nice and clean for the most part (it could have been vacuumed a bit better). The walls were a bit thin, as I could hear people in the hallway, BUT coming from NYC, it was still quiet. Breakfast is basic, like really basic, but it did the trick. The low expectations I had set for this dreadful night in a Microtel were sadly exceeded. Staying in one of these travel jails seems eerily similar to a blending of shopping at K-Mart and taking your wife to Taco Bell for an anniversary dinner. If neither of these bothers you, then by all means treat yourself to a glorious night at the Microtel. Here's my issue, they go cheap on everything! The shower head is clogged, the heater blows cold air, the towels are rough, the tv is small, the TV guide is sticky, the bed has a plastic casing over the mattress (hopefully there were no bed bigs). It's just a cheap hotel. To top it off, there were hairs in m y bathroom. I'm bald, it's clearly not mine! The best part about a Microtel is leaving. I am put of here today and I will never be back. I had no options due to my short notice on this travel schedule and my co-worker. Spend an extra $30 per night and stay somewhere else. read more

The last Microtel I stayed at was really run down so I was skeptical... however this Microtel in Bath, NY is very clean and comfortable. I highly recommend it. Located right off the highway and plenty of fast food restaurants within walking distance. The lobby is welcoming, modern looking and they have continental breakfast... looking forward to that. The tv was remarkably small compared to other hotels I've stayed at... maybe 24"?? I guess I've been spoiled haha. -1 star...sorry. We stayed at the Microtel at the same time and with the same group as another Yelper. Our experience was superb. The front desk personnel were unfailingly responsive and patient. Among other things, they spent quality time explaining the property's amenities and Wyndham's loyalty program. Much to our delight, they also offered us a choice of floors. Our room was comfortable and spotlessly clean, and our towels and toiletries were fully replenished in the morning. We also much appreciated the clean, in-room refrigerator during the extraordinary heatwave that rolled into town during our stay. Must stay hydrated. Cold breakfast is included in the room price, which is a lovely convenience when you are determined to get to Watkins Glen before the crowds arrive. On the first morning of our stay, we mentioned to the front desk manager that the Raisin Bran canister had been depleted. He immediately sprinted across the lobby, fresh cereal bag in hand, to replenish the supply. Who could ask for more than that?? This was our second stay at this Microtel with the group in question, and we look forward to future stays. As a long-time Yelper (and a former Elite member (not enough time)), I encourage the readership to ignore the petty price-centric grousing of another recent post. It's an O.k. place though the desk manager could use a few lessons on how to deal with guests! Totally unprofessional! If you want a good rate, book using hotels.com as opposed to the hotel directly. We stayed in the hotel for 2 days in July. My husband received a 1" gash on the head from a defunct security lock while we were checking in. We spent our first night at the hotel with me performing first aid. The hotel offered no recompense for the injury and we only received a trivialising letter from corporate 6 weeks later. The hotel made no recognition or reply to a request that the door be made safe for other visitors. They did not even have the courtesy to call my husband direct with an apology. I would not recommend anyone to stay with the hotel group not due to any concern with the hotel, but for the compassionless staff alone. We checked in and checked out. We did not stay the night and requested a refund. We are in the midst of a global pandemic and this hotel was FILTHY!!! Mask wearing was not enforced. The fellow behind the desk was wearing on his chin. Guests came and went with no masks and no one said a word!! The towels were stained, the carpets disgusting, dust everywhere, dirty walls, disgusting dust and muck filled bathroom vent, and a horrible mildew smell emanating out of the air conditioner. When I approached the guy behind the desk and asked him if there was a clean room with a clean carpet he said, "How should I know? I'm not housekeeping!" UNACCEPTABLE!!! I was nervous to stay here after reading yelp reviews, but this was actually a really nice place to spend the night! (We had plenty of hot water) Room was spotless and made good use of space (drawers under the cute window seat). Good price for the night. We had two comfortable and firm beds. Stayed here over the July 4th weekend for a local wedding. Room was very well laid out with a living room/bedroom type layout, that sported a divider to separate the two rooms, and a nice walk-mounted TV that swivels from one room to another very easily! Cheryl and Dan were at the front desk, and both were so inviting, VERY friendly and we got the sense that they really were there to help us make our stay as pleasant as possible. Dan was there the last night, very nice guy, and Cheryl was there all along with her genuine country hospitality. Only complaint we had is the lighting in the room was fluorescent, which I happen to hate. Lol. I prefer a dimmer to adjust lighting accordingly. Some people prefer fluroscent, so it's not a bad thing in general, just a vanilla vs. chocolate kind of thing. Price was very reasonable for the quality of this hotel, and they are located right in the middle of a very nice and quaint little town with plenty of fast food places to eat locally. Hotel is right off of a main highway as well. Very convenient location! Would definitely come back again! read more

Everything is micro but exactly what we needed a clean place to sleep at a great price. Was a little worried after some poor reviews but Entire hotel was very clean mattress did not have a plastic cover on it and was ok for one night. The pillows were not very comfortable but that's to be expected. Breakfast was ok had all the basics yogurt, cereal, coffee some sweets, bagels, fruit and hard boiled eggs. Not sure what other reviewers were expecting for around 60 a night but it was clean and fine to start our day. Had plenty of hot water for shower but I will say hotel was not full . Although the hotel was clean their were these annoying Knats around the bathroom sink that kept showing up and a dead fly on window sill. Other than that the stay was not bad. We planned a trip to Niagara Falls and we found Microtel Inn and Suites in Bath NY. Using our ARPP discount, we stayed for under $70.00 on a Sunday night. Arriving around 7PM, we were checked in by a friendly clerk, who answered our questions and told us about a local pub where we could catch a bite to eat called DJ Flamingo. The room was small but very well laid out and clean. The bed was soft but comfortable. We had a nice time at DJ Flamingo and left early for the falls. A great place to stay overnight reasonable priced and clean. When we checked out the front clerk was friendly asking about our stay, offering breakfast and suggesting a cup of joe for the road. read more

Stayed here to get a good nights sleep. Bed early woke up at 5:30 am because the is no sound insulation. Awoke to doors closing and hearing conversations of local workers talking in the hall (many construction and farm workers stay here) also woke to the sounds of racist rantings by a few of the hung-over and miserable. If other hotels are not good avoid Bath. Management was unresponsive. Showers dont work well. I didn't stick around for the continental breakfast but from a distance it looked edible. Prices make this a good choice if you arriving from the east and planning to visit Letchworth State Park the next day - definitely cheaper than the area in which it is located and only about 30 minutes away. This is the only place I would have stayed at in the area. It is a no-frills inn, yet clean with a friendly staff. I thought it was a bit pricey for the area, but the other options looked really shabby and run-down, so I did not do a price comparison. Limited access to hot water, like close to none, ran tub longer than the recommended half hour several times during our stay only really got really really got water one time during a 5 day stay. This hotel has serious noise issues, almost as if no sound insulation whatsoever. We could hear everything happening in the hallway, the ice machines and the other rooms and we couldn't sleep before midnight till everything calmed down. Clean and comfortable room, but if you need to take a shower, go elsewhere. No hot water and each shift acted like they never knew it was a problem. Worst yet, the guy on duty the second night told us the woman the previous evening put a note in the log book that we were rude about our complaint. We asked for her to call her manager that night and not wait until the morning, if that defines rude, then fine. They offered to move us to the "suite" but without hot water it didn't do us any favors. The guy checked the boiler and it was showing 96 degrees - that's one refreshing shower. Checked reviews after this and turns out it's an ongoing issue for sometime now so why they act like it's new information I don't know. I question how clean the sheets and towels are if they are not washing in hot water. ewwwww!! read more
